Was in the area a couple of weekends ago and my sons glasses is somehow loose so we were trying to find a place for repair. This shop popped up as highly rated for repair so we stopped by. My son's prescription glasses is a Japanese brand with no local store here in the US. He looked at it and said he will need time to repair it, I explained that we're not from the area and we were hoping to get it the same day. He showed us the problems and told us he will need more time. However he did a quick fix to tighten it and told us to return when we have more time. Miracle workers at a reasonable price. My Persol sunglasses dropped and broke in half right at the bridge. Replacing them would have been very expensive and difficult as I have a small face and this was the only small size adult sunglasses I was able to find. They are a few years old but really wanted to keep them. I had called around to a few places and was given quotes of $80.00-$90.00 to fix. One place said its impossible to fix them. I called the Persol store and they recommended this place. I called and was told $65.00. The owner said he couldn't guarantee but would try to fix them. I had stupidly tried to glue the 2 halves back together which unknowingly had weakened the plastic frame. Masters Optical was able to fix my sunglasses. The owner did a great job. Cannot give enough accolades to Master's Optical...they are absolutely amazing. I had about seven pairs of vintage Cazal's, Pucci, Gucci, Dior, And Versailles that were in various states of disrepair (arms broken, lenses scratched, pieces missing, etc)., and I had been looking for someone to repair, and was referred to Bob Kim at Master's by a friend. I live in Northern CA, so I needed to ship down to LA. I took pics of all of the glasses and indicated what needed to be done and emailed Bob...he responded quickly letting me know that he could repair all of the glasses, replace the lenses with the gradient faded lenses I was requesting, and add my prescription to a couple pairs that I had chosen. He completed all of this very quickly (within about a week and a half (even though his store was going to be closed for 3 normal business days); so the turn around was outstanding. And the repairs and new lenses? Epic!!!! He did such an amazing job...such beautiful work!!! This is, by far, the best place in LA for eyeglass repair. Run by husband and wife they are quick, kind, thorough and very, very fair when it comes to prices and service. During the summer of Covid my wife's glasses broke on a Friday... snapped the frame at the nose bridge... soldering was required. Initially quoted one day to fix but when I told them we were heading out of town the next day they rushed the job and called me a few hours later to come pick them up! No extra charge. Now it's December, 2021... brought in two pair of my wife's glasses. Some readers and some sunglasses. Minor repairs needed, they fixed one in five minutes and gave me back - No Charge!!
