What a fantastic experience. I came in to get the lenses on my sun glasses replaced and while I waited my turn, I got to witness the owner have the most incredible customer service with 2 separate children. When a place gets only one & five star reviews you have to pay attention. I went here because I was referred by two different friends. i stupidly had more than one pair of glasses done. I say stupidly because I trusted my friends instead of my first experience. I have had the same experience as all the one star reviews with the exception of the person who spoke of body odor, etc. He did not smell. He is incredibly rude. His wife however is lovely. I give one star for her kind countenance. About the frames I brought in, he complained about the fact they were big then said, "Why do you want to use these? Their just cheap (brand name)". The frames I brought in cost $175 not Prada but not his $25 or $90 stiff plastic things either. Did I leave? No. I continued because my friends told me he was good. When I had a problem with one of the frames, he blamed the frames (the arm broke because he did something wrong.) He said that company had problems with that style from the very beginning. I researched it. It wasn't true. Then he wanted to charge me to fix them. Even when I went back to have the fit adjusted on another pair, he griped. He did a good job on my sunglasses. When all was said and done, I get eyestrain from the reading glasses he made within minutes of wearing them and I need these particular glasses to do 85% of my work. I'll be taking them to my doctor to find out if he put in the right prescription. Until I get a correct pair, my work has to wait because I cannot tolerate the pain in my right eye when I wear them. His prices are not low - they were not a discount for me anyway. When I told my brother-in-law how much I paid, he said, "You could've gotten them much cheaper at Costco". This was my fault because I let the opinions of others override my experience. Don't do that. It was my fault because at the first complaint of my choice or the grumpiness, I ignored common sense and continued to do business. I will not be going back. read more

This place is a no frills get the job done for you at a fair price. The owner greeted and treated me well and gave me several options. He was knowledgeable and sincere. I appreciated his Honesty because I'm dealing with my second eyes and to not have my RX done right would have been a disappointment. I love patronizing Mom & Pop shops like this where they do the work themselves in their back workshop. I literally walked in via the back door where the owner was working. I also received a complimentary adjustment on my sunglasses even though I didn't purchase them there. He told me the frame was still great and I didn't need to buy a new pair but if ever I wanted he could add my RX to the lenses...well that just saved me several hundred $$ on new frames! I came in here with a friend, the last stop on our list while price shopping for new lenses. When I saw this place, I immediately wrote it off, calling it a hole in the wall, and tried to convince said friend not to go in. I'm glad we did! David doesn't seem to care much for small talk, and is a little rough around the edges perhaps, but he knows his stuff. He patiently explained the different types of lenses and broke down the pricing for each, starting with the cheapest and working his way up, actually recommending we purchase something much cheaper than any of the other stores had suggested (not surprising). He also took the time to answer our questions about why his shop is significantly cheaper than any of the chain locations we'd been to. Suffice it to say, we left the frames there so he could get new lenses for them. I appreciated his help so much that I'm now going back to get a new pair of glasses for myself! I have awful luck with glasses because my vision is only just barely bad enough to need them intermittently. Their 2 for $46 deal can't be beat, even when you consider online places like Zenni or Coastal, because you can try them on here and there's no extra charge for shipping and coating. Yes, 2 pairs, frames and lenses - under $50. Sure, the selection is somewhat limited, but it's perfect for people like me who only wear glasses a few times a week and for very brief stretches. I just ordered my third and fourth pairs with them and they were ready the very next day! For my first set, I ordered a tinted pair to wear as sunglasses and they were wonderful. The quality is just fine and the owner and his wife were totally pleasant to me. Not to sound defeatist, but I'm sure I'll be back for my fifth and sixth pairs soon enough. I got a super cute pair of standard "geek chic" glasses in a day for $100 (frames & lenses). I *hate* shopping for glasses and I hate spending money on glasses because I don't enjoy wearing them. They're for first thing in the morning, late at night or on the odd occasion that I can't wear my contacts. A B See had a good enough selection that I found two frames that pleased me and decided on a good-quality, last season pair. I received extremely flimsy frames that easily broke three times as part of a promotional deal. Fortunately he replaced the frames, but told me not to complain anymore. Then I paid the proprietor to cut a pair of lenses to a different frame and he did. When I got home I found several cracks in one of the lenses. I went back and he treated me like garbage before buffing the cracks halfway off. I find him unbelievably rude, even belligerent. I'm 66 years old and I have never met a ruder storekeeper. As with numerous other posters here, It became my opinion that saving a few pennies is not worth being treated like garbage, and for no discernible reason whatsoever. Bottom Line: I think there should be a "U" between the "B" and the "See." read more
