They were friendly & nice but what was a little annoying was that when they called to confirm my appt they left a super long voicemail explaining that if i dont come they are losing business because i am taking up a lot of spots. I got my nails done here on 2/22/18 and did the powder dip, after she was done with the powder she wanted to do gel top coat, there shouldn't be gel on top of powder, that's the whole point of powder. She didn't end up doing the gel after i had to tell her no several times. I didn't see how bad my nails looked until after i left and went home to wash my hands, they look like a kid did them. Some parts of nail are not shiny, color around my nails on finger. I came back today to ask for refund since they look so bad, first she said she has to call her boss then she said she'll need to take my color off before she refunds, i didn't have time to sit there while they remove the powder. I would never recommend coming here for dip powder, they clearly don't know what they are doing. read more

The place is very clean and beautifully decorated (complete with chandeliers). The staff is very friendly. Kevin did my hair. I received a wash, cut, and blowout for $35. The girl who worked on my gel mani/spa pedi did a good job and I really appreciated that they had sets with regular colors for toes that matched their gel colors for fingers. I love when my polish matches. :) They were a little pricier than I'm used to paying (about $10 more or so), but I live in Garden Grove, so almost nowhere is as inexpensive as the places I'm used to frequenting near home. They were more reasonable than some of the other places in Placentia and Yorba Linda, though. They weren't on the fastest side, but I also had to remove my previous gel, so that takes time - and I'll take quality over speed any day since gel lasts so long. I wouldn't take a special trip up from GG to come here, but if I ever want to get my nails done again while up visiting the mamsan, this will be my go-to place. read more

I had gone to him a couple times before for trims but this time, I was cutting all my hair off into a very short style. He took his time (literally 2 hours) and the hair cut is not super expensive. I called today to get back in as I want to get the side just a bit shorter and again fitting me right in. So nice and a great cut! He went slow and longer than shorter so that I was comfortable. Last two weeks I was there she had me waiting 45 minutes from my appointment and also cancel on me twice and never called me back to reschedule all I wanted today what's me eyelash fix and she cannot get me back in until Monday. Jenny is such a sweet lady. I found her here on Yelp about a year & a half to 2 years ago, I believe. So this review is long overdue! I came to her because I saw that she did semi permanent makeup tattooing & was closest to me. Other places I know of are in Westminster, China Town, etc. I started off with very unflattering eyebrows. They had a shape I didn't like & there wasn't very much hair. I called & I spoke with her about coming in for a consultation for the eyebrow tattooing. I came in the next day. She started sketching some shapes onto my eyebrow with an eyebrow pencil. She showed me what she liked & asked me if I wanted it any other way. I loved the shape she gave me! She told me that if I wanted to do it that very same day, she could do it right there & then. After an hour and half, I had some eyebrows! Right after she tattooed me, she noticed all of the flat, black moles I had all over my face. She told me she could remove them ASAP. So I laid back down so she could zap off my moles! So in one appointment, she managed to tattoo my eyebrows & zap off my moles! She made conversation with me the whole time. She knew I was & still am a full time student, so she gave me a really great deal! I stop by occasionally to touch up or re-color my eyebrows so it matches when I change up my hair color. I also stop by when I see some random moles appear on my face. She's such a sweet lady & her husband, Kevin, gives really nice men's haircuts. He cuts my brother's hair from time to time & knows exactly how to do it. I thought it might be useful to add some eyebrow tattoo tips: -they're dark right after they've been tattooed. looks scary & very chola-like (think sharpie eyebrows) -however, after a week, the tattoo should scale or peel off with a much better color -4 weeks later, the color should be perfect! -don't touch your eyebrows!!! -when you get home, wet a cotton ball & wipe off the clear liquid & blood -make sure it stays moist. dab a tiny bit of unscented lotion onto them every so often -stay home for a week! lol I get compliments all the time on my eyebrows! Some people even believe they are natural! I recommend her to everyone! read more

Don't get me wrong the atmosphere in this salon is amazing. Very clean, very stylish and very new. Big selection of colors and of color gels . I walked in aa I do with my nail places and I wanted to get a full set with tips and a pedicure. Since a station to get my nails done wasn't available I started with the pedicure. I work as a hairstylist so I'm on my feet all day I and I know they get crazy so I got the Calis remover and I told the lady I felt pressure on my big toe nail and she gave me the gentlist pedicure ever. Now this isn't a bad thing but I need to get my ingrown toe nail out and my feet scrubbed. By the time I was done with my pedicure the place was busy so I didn't have anything else to do that day so I said I'd come back and Jenny insisted that she took me then it must have been about 1:55 when she started my nails but she had an appointment scheduled for 2. That was not cool or professional that she took me and blew off her regular customer. My acrylics are too short and they got cloudy. This place was decent but skipping an appointment on purpose is not okay in my book. Plus I can get a better set of nails for half the price other places. read more

This salon recently took over Cali's Nails. The skills of the employees, right up to the owner are severely lacking! The woman who was giving me a pedicure got the callus remover all over the top of my foot. By the time I was able to communicate what happened, my foot was red with chemical burn. Kevin (the owner) was in charge of my acrylic fill. I warned him of a crack & asked he replace the acrylic on that finger. He 'knew best' and just repaired it ( because it cost him less product???). The next day I was back because it cracked again. I again asked to replace, without a tip. He said he couldn't because a small part of my nail was missing- apparently he doesn't know about forms! When the same nail broke again the next day I went somewhere else. So much for my 3 year relationship with the salon who used to occupy this address! read more

They did a good job on my gel nails but I came here after reading it was very clean and hygienic. THAT WAS NOT MY EXPERIENCE. When she was putting some cleaners on my hand at the end, she poured it on a cotton ball and dropped it on the floor. Laughing, she picked it up and went to put it on my hand. My mom and I stopped her because that is unacceptable. If you are concerned with germs and hygiene, I recommend finding another salon. read more
