Yesterday I had my safe moved by Tim, Wayne, and Jaysin from Kilroy Brothers Moving. I can't say…read moreenough good things about the experience overall. As I told them I moved the safe in myself, and I wasn't going to move it out myself as it was about 600 lbs and I barely got it in myself. The three of them made it look easy moving it out and did an excellent job in the process. They made absolutely certain that my safe was secure during the entire process, they wrapped the entire safe as well as the door to make sure the electronics didn't get damaged at all. And then at the end of the move they made certain that the safe opened and closed as it should properly. My parents used Kilroy Brother's moving a little over 30 years ago, and they did a great job then. I can say they continue to do a great job now. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move. I have no intentions to move out of my house that I just purchased anytime soon, but I can say when the time does come for me to move, I will definitely be contacting Kilroy to move not only my safe but also my entire house. They were very reasonable in the pricing, and I shopped around prior to selecting a company to move my safe. They were very responsive when I reached out to them as well. I personally spoke with the owner prior to the move to find out what information they needed and when I told him the weight of the safe he didn't hesitate to say that they could move it and didn't upcharge me like other companies did because it was "over weight." While I do agree it was certainly very heavy, I don't' think that it was too unreasonable to ask to have professional's move. As I said, I truly can't say enough good things about Tim, Wayne, and Jasyin and Kilroy Bothers as a whole. The three of them did a great job, and I'll definitely be contacting them again when the time comes again for another move.

We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.

They gave me a pretty good deal, if you're a student ask about special rates, and it was about the same rate as I had been paying. Another plus is that they'll let you use your own lock, which I've found to be rare in storage units, and the facilty is very clean, and I found it to be pretty well lit for a storage unit. Yellowbrick is in a narrow alley, and has multiple levels, however that wasn't too big of a hassle. The staff was always super friendly, especially Trevor, who ended up helping us back out of the ally in a big truck and stopped traffic for us too. If you do have a bigger vehicle definitely be aware that there could be some problems. When I was moving out of the storage unit I used their new delivery service. It was $90 but I found it to be worth every penny. They delivered to me on Labor Day, and generally seemed to be working that entire weekend and really flexible. The guys were very friendly, on time, and incredibly helpful. They were so wonderful, especially as I was all by myself trying to move a carload of stuff. If you're looking for storage near Boston, I would say this is a great bet.

This place is great…read more The place is clean, the prices are great, and the guys I dealt with (Tom and Fred) were very nice. I've read the negative reviews, and they are unjustified. I went there on a hot day and the inside was nice and cool. Is the entrance spacious? No, but that didn't stop me from comfortably driving a 10' U-Haul truck right up to the door. And when I had to back out, Tom was great about directing me and stopping the traffic on Harvard Ave. As for the hours, they are clearly stated on the company's website. If you are literate enough to write a review here, then you should have no problem reading the clearly printed hours on the website. Is this place ultra-modern? No. Are the insides of the storage bins well-lit? No. But neither of those things is incredibly important (unless you're planning on illegally living in the storage unit). I've stored stuff at other places such as Brighton Storage and the storage wasn't well-lit there either. I'm not so crazy about the paint flaking off the brick walls, but honestly, there is absolutely no need for there to be paint on the walls. It doesn't protect things any better (although, again, for those planning on illegally trying to live in a storage unit, it might make you feel more at home). The other thing is that after you finish dropping off your stuff, you can go to S&I (probably the greatest Thai restaurant in Boston) on Brighton Ave. and stuff yourself. And then you can grab some brews at the liquor store on the corner. I don't know who the owner is, but as far as I'm concerned, Tom should be getting paid more. That guy turned an incredibly hectic and stress-filled day into something a lot less so. Great job!
