The service was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. The only negative was that the restaurant didn't carry cash on hand to make change when people wanted change for a cash tip.

I honestly don't know how to review this place. For starters, the restaurant is beautiful, clean…read moreand well appointed. My problem was service. We walked in and were ignored by staff for several minutes which should have been a good indicator of how the rest of the night was going to go. The server eventually came around to take orders. We put in our requests and waited. And waited and waited. She brought bread with oil early on which was helpful for my friends, but I'm gluten free. She never came back to refill water. After an hour of waiting, she came and asked if she'd taken our orders already. Ummm yes, an hour ago. We reiterated what we'd asked for. She wandered away and my friend walked up to the counter. The man told us his chef had an emergency and had to leave. He said we'd have our food in two minutes. Fifteen minutes later we finally had it. He apologized and said he'd compensate us with baklava. Again, I can't eat baklava, but I thought the gesture was fine. My friend was interested. The food was tasty, but after waiting so long I was starving and it wasn't enough to fill the void. The people at the table behind us left because they ran out of time after 80 minutes of waiting. The server, who should've been the one to tell us what was happening and the reasons for the delay brought the check and walked away. No baklava, no discount for inconvenience, no apology, no "thank you for your patience", no water refills at any point. 90 minutes start to finish under a vent dumping cold air. So I struggle to give a bad review because the food was good and I understand emergencies. However, the lack of communication and follow through warrant a reminder than customer service is important. I'm not sure if I would risk going back. Ambience: 5* Service: 0* Food: 4* Wait time: 0* Overall: a generous 2*

The space itself was cozy, and the wall decor made it feel warm and comfortable, perfect for a nice dinner with friends or family. The lamb skewers were so flavorful with generously-sized chunks of lamb on the skewer. I was so curious about the noodles and I'm glad we got the chance to try the gambian soman. You can tell the noodles were hand-pulled, they were so bouncy and absorbed the flavor of the meat (we got lamb) and the bell peppers so well. For dessert, we had the honey cake, which was also amazing. The cake layers were a little crumbly which complimented the cream layers in between, and the sweetness was perfectly, which I usually am cautious about when it comes to food sweetened with honey. I did end up coming back two days in a row because I was craving the lamb lol

I came here with my fiance for dinner on a Friday night. The clientele was on the older side. Our meal started off with complimentary pita. It was not the most fresh, and it little served with a side of butter (which we found somewhat odd) so we were unsure of how the rest of the meal would be, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We got the appetizer sampler platter for 2 and their specialty, the Doner Kabab (which they only sell on certain days of the week). The appetizer sampler platter included a TON of food for the $25 price tag, and we were honestly full after just that, but the Doner Kabab that came out next was so good that we ended up eating all of it as well. Next time we come back we want to try their "desert sampler platter"!

The Musakka dishes are served with a side of rice pilaf and the Omelete with a side of fries. Bottom line - all three of us found the entrees to be bland. In fairness, I have only had Greek Musakka before, but I expected more seasoning and flavor, and my friend (the vegetarian) noted that they didn't get a hint of Bechamel - only mozzarella. I tend to agree the entree was heavy on the mozzarella and light on other flavors. We agreed that the rice was very good, both in texture and mild flavor. The french fries also were very good. The service here continues to be beyond excellent. Really good service. If I could give 3.5 as a score, I would, because the service was exceptional. But this is the second time I was here and both times found the entree to be bland. Maybe that's how Turkish food is - if so, please let me know, but I doubt it. The restaurant, which is very attractive and comfortable inside, has been around for 45 years and has an average Yelp score of 4.2. So obviously, a lot of people like it. I just call it like I see it.
