During those two hours, the man (who has a 21 year old son) doing my nails proceeded to tell me that he used to have a crush on Taylor Swift when she was 18/19, but she's too old for him now... He spent the vast majority of the time complaining to me of his dating woes, and telling me how stupid girls are at one point, he asked me if I knew what OnlyFans is... And then proceeded to tell me about it... I can't remember my nail techs name but he is the one with a different light then everyone. she is really talkative but that's ok. He does a really good job. talks about things i don't need to know about his life. I DON'T RECOMMEND NICK! he is terrible rude and has a terrible attitude. i was getting my nails done by the one I like and nick was arguing with someone on the phone and with someone about their nails they didn't like. I just happened to have extra time in Saint Joe today and needed a nail fix desperately. I found Ispa in the shopping center and love that I can get in here with my truck. I love, love , love Ivy. She was very gentle and sweet. I normally dread having manicures done when I do not know the individual, and Ivy has now made this my go to location... even though I live in KCMO, I will go out of my way to visit this place. It is a nice location, everything is brand new and very clean. Plenty of "booths" to accommodate a large group. Everyone is super nice and make you feel like you belong. If I had the choice I would NEVER go anywhere else. Thanks you guys for being SUPER. You will see me again. read more

If I could give negative reviews I would. I've been here 3 times now and just gave my money away everytime. First, my pedicure. Me and my friend had both sat down at the same time, a lady started working on her. I sat there for 30 minutes WITHOUT WATER. Then the lady comes over and starts my water and I sat there for another 15. She then comes over, rubs for 45 seconds (yes I counted) paints them, (they look like trash because she rushed) and proceeded to give me an attitude when I tipped her $5 when she didn't deserve anything. So I let her know why she didn't get a good tip from me and why I was dissatisfied. Second time I went I got a manicure thinking it would go better. When I tell you it looked like a 2 year old did my nails, that's an understatement. The gel was EVERYWHERE. I called and they told me that they were really busy and that they were sorry but couldn't refund me and/or take them off. Being busy never makes it okay to suck! Third time was my last straw last week, I went in and they had almost nobody in there. They did the SAME exact thing they did to me the first time! Knowing that I clearly put it together that they do this to a lot of people. After waiting for 25 minutes for someone to even greet me after sitting in the seat I got up and told them they would never get my business again. I have been going to this nail salon for about four years I have followed Nick the owner since he was at Kevin's and his brother for years but the last year since I've been going to this salon, it takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get a set of nails filled with there yesterday Monday, April 17th my appointment was at 5:30. I was all the time Nick looked at me, walked off and start doing some carpentry work because they are remodeling. I said there for 15 minutes in his chair and he did not make knowledge of of me. I would not recommend this salon, unless you just have all the Time in the world and have no place to go. What a great experience.. I was in town to visit with my mother in law that has Alzheimer's and she was in need of a pedi and mani. Wasn't sure if she would feel comfortable or not due to her advanced state of the disease. There was not a moment that she felt like she wanted to leave because they made her feel like a queen, she almost feel asleep when getting her pedi. I will never return! I brought my daughter in for an acrylic fill. She has waited 50 minutes to get anyone talk to her (even after I spoke with an employee about the wait.). They have now taken 7 other people back ahead of her even tough her name was on the sign in sheet first. While we were in the store another customer showed up to voice her concern of her gel polish changing colors ( was navy and turned into a bright blue) after 4 days of wear. They were dismissive and rude to her. In all my years I've never had gel polish change colors after wear and its has happened to her both times she was here. Very poor customer service! read more

This was a perfectly fine nail spot. I had broken off a nail and was in town for the weekend, so I found myself here hoping for the best. I got a pedicure and a gel fill. Both were done fine. Not the best job ever, but certainly not the worst either. The tech I had was nice. Lots of techs' kids wandering about, which was distracting for everyone. Good color selection. Nice massage chairs. Awful and RUDE! I would leave 0 stars if I could! First off we weren't greeted, but to make a long awful visit short the pregnant lady who appeared tired and not wanting to be there barely said 2 words during my pedicure and gel nails. Before she even started on my toes she started talking on her cell phone (the most I heard her talk the entire time). Then after she was done she just walked off; never said bye or thank you or anything but was quick to hop up so she could take my money. All they want is money and that's it! Furthermore the other lady doing my friends pedicure was on her phone cussing and speaking loudly to whoever she was talking to on the phone while doing her toes. Very unprofessional. My gel nails aren't great and after 2 days have already chipped. They need to be shut down. read more

im convinced this place tries to ignore you and be as rude to you as possible so you just walk out and they have less to do. they all seemed so mad to be there and the man that did my toes seemed annoyed and did my toes so sloppy. He also gave me a cute ingrown toe nail that hurts like hell!! this place seriously shouldnt be in business like at all. considering I'll most likely have to see a podiatrist for this toenail it was the most expensive pedicure I've had to date. Also the man that did my toes was so rude he like pointed out the toe gunk in my feet and then put it on my foot... it was strange .. like most nail techs don't do that.. unless they don't want a tip. I was in town for St Patrick's Day weekend and came in for a basic manicure and it was amazing. I thought the hot mits were an great touch. Today I am again in town and decided to visit and get a dip manicure. The completed manicure doesn't look as great as when I get one from my normal salon at home, but I realize my person may have much more experience than the person doing mine today. He didn't do my cuticles, no hot mits, and at the end of the manicure I had to ask him if I could have some lotion to put on my hands. He then squirted some lotion on my hand for me to rub in. For the basic manicure I got last time she gave me a mini hand massage as she rubbed in the lotion at the end of the manicure. At my salon back home, the manicure process for the dip is the same as the regular manicure, the application of the polish is just different. For this visit today, the dip manicure is twice the price of the regular, I guess for the money I expected the process to be just as nice as the basic manicure. I went in to have a manicure. I was not greeted by anyone so I signed in and took a seat in the waiting area. I was third in line when I arrived. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I was told that I was next and they'd start in a few minutes. After waiting another 15 minutes, three women walked in and were immediately seated to start their manicures. I approached a staff member to inquire why they were seated ahead of me and he stated the women had made an appointment. I stated "I have called here before to make appointments and been told over the phone that you do not take appointments, only walk-in's." He said they do take appointments some days. I asked how much longer I would have to wait, he said probably 20 minutes, then it was going to take about 40 minutes for the manicure. I left without getting a manicure and will not return here. read more

I have been getting my nails done since I was 20 years old and lived all over the US and I feel that the job that Nick does is simply the best! I am a busy professional and there have been times that I have not had time to go the the North end of St. Joseph and have gone to other nail salons and I usually regret this. When Nick does my nails, they never lift, and he takes the time to trim my loose cuticles. Because he knows me so well, I don't have to tell him how to shape my nails and when they grow out, it is barely noticeable which means my nails don't NEED to be redone as often and I usually go back in between 3 and 4 weeks since I almost always do pink and white powder dip nails. I always schedule an appt. so I am able to get in when I want to get in. I love going to this nail salon and feel that the prices are very fair and the quality of work is superb!! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I would give a quarter of a star rating if I could. My teenage daughter and her friend got their nails done there tonight and were treated VERY poorly. They female employee with the mole on her face was completely rude to my daughter and put her nails on crooked and uneven. When my daughter asked her to fix them, she refused and said they were fine. The male employee that did my daughter's friend's nails, made an inappropriate comment to them, likely because there was not an adult with them, but that is NO reason for him to have said what he did nor for the girls to have been treated in that manner. Greeted by no one for five minutes and then when we got greeted, the gentleman was half way pleasant, and was asked a question then perceived to give him the answer and a younger lady popped out of nowhere and started arguing about what I wanted. The rudest I had ever been talked to and I just thought she was a customer, turns out she was an EMPLOYEE. The whole time she was doing my nails, she was constantly stopping and getting on her phone that would ring none stop. While preceding to be a straight rip to me and my friend. I went here asking for a light pink gel color. The result is so ugly and TRANSLUCENT. The color isn't even opaque and they didn't even bother trying to keep the gel polish ON MY NAIL. This is the second horrible experience I've had at iSpa in St. Joseph. I wrote the first one off to the person was inexperienced. Today was not the case. I generally get a "regular" pedicure but always tip 18%-20%. I believe people who are working in a service industry deserve a tip as each industry has it's own challenges. Maybe if I had asked for the "deluxe" pedicure it would have been better. However, I'm not willing to go back and see. The nail tech didn't trim or even get our clippers. She barely filed my right toes. Normally, when I get a pedicure the technician will file/buff the tops of the nails to smooth any ridges, etc. as well as trim and file the ends. I chose white polish and know it isn't always forgiving when it comes to flaws however, this pedicure was so bad I see every mark. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. I will not return nor will I encourage others to support this nail salon. There are multiple places and any place will do a nicer job than here. read more

I had gone to Kevin's nails before and always had nothing but trouble, so I was extremely excited to come here hoping for a better experience (soon to find out Kevin's owns them too.) I simply wanted a pink and white French manicure. I kid you not...I say there for over 2hrs waiting to get my nails done. I understand that it can take awhile sometimes, but that was ridiculous. They didn't offer any type of gift card or money off of my nails due to me having to wait for so long. I don't do a labor job, my nails started to come up after a couple of day, which is crazy for me, because my nails could last months if I let them. I have gotten my nails done MANY times and everytime they are done they tell you to wash your hands and whatnot, he seriously got up, walked away, and started helping someone else. Brought my family in to 4 pedicures and the service was terrible. Once we walked in, the establishment looked nice, we were greeted, however once we sat down and got started we were not please. We were asked if we wanted classic or deluxe, so we went went deluxe because that's what we decided would be worth it. However, they did not preform the full package in which we were told would be included in the $51. The painting of the nails was terrible. The guy I had was ruder than all get out, tried to make me turn off my chair, although it wouldn't. He took the remote and threw it off my chair because it wouldn't shut off. This salon has been my go to spot for a few months now. But, the last time I went I was disappointed. I had a male technician that I had never had before. I started with a basic pedicure. He barely massaged my feet. Didn't clean under my nails. Basically painted my toes and said I was done. I thought ok, he's going to finish (put the top coat on after my manicure). I got acrylic dip nails which I have to say are perfect. I love them. He finished with my nails and I said are you going to put the top coat on my feet? He said I did. I knew he didn't but I was in a hurry. I paid and left. Not to mention he didn't put the top coat on, but the paint job is horrible!! I will go back, but I hope I don't get him again as my tech. read more

We walked in wanting two pedicures and 1 full set. They said the wait was 15-20 minutes and it took almost 45 minutes to sit down for our pedicures. One lady who was doing nails basically yelled at me to set my nail polish in the cup holder so my rocking of the chair wouldn't have the polish slide off but I'm not even doing the back massage. They started my toes before my friends (who is getting the manicure). The guy doing my toes is very rude and doesn't listen along with a half quality job.
