I've only gotten Brazilians professionally done at one other place, so the only itty-bitty criticism is that both times have had to shower afterwards to finish removing some pieces of wax that have held on. The other location I've gone to would wipe down the area with an oil to help clean up the area with this, but Piper does not do this. Then he didn't add any type of gel clear polish to seal it. So within 3 days the dip started to crack and break along with my nails underneath. I only went here because I was in town and needed my nails done. This never happens at my regular nail salon or any other salon I've been to. This was my first time in Sky Nails; I don't get manis/pedis all that often, and the salon looked clean and relatively organized. I stopped in about 10 minutes early and they had me sit down at one of their stations and were able to start prepping me (removed my previous gel polish). This joint is very casual, as in maybe the technicians aren't all as professional as some would prefer - see more details below. I didn't mind the vibe one bit as I just want beautiful nails when it's all said and done. The nail technician who worked on my nails was very meticulous and did do beautiful work - I saw the detail painting she was doing on the patron beside me - little ghost and black cat ‍ for Halloween - So cute. But she did have some drama with her kids calling her from home, which was really nothing, but that may turn some patrons off from this place if you're looking for a more quiet, relaxing vibe. With that being said, I will definitely be stopping in again for next manicure.
