Highly recommend! I would come back for the Brussels sprouts alone. We had the delicious Lumberjack burger and fries and Draper chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes. Everything was tasty, hot and fresh! Cocktails: best old fashioned we have had and also a French 75. We topped it off with the best pistachio gelato I have ever tasted. Atmosphere is perfection and the service was wonderful! Loved everything!

Ordered takeout from here for dinner yesterday, was pleasantly surprised. Pretty tasty stuff, better than a lot of other burgers/sandwiches I've had on the island. Not sure if I could confidently say they're the best, but I feel like I got what I paid for, which for eating out on Bainbridge feels pretty nice. Their thin curly fries held up pretty well as take-out. Nicely seasoned, not uniformly crisp, especially by the time we ate them, but they were still pretty good. The Lumberjack Burger and the Grilled Chicken sandwich both have a noticeable kick. Seems like good food to eat with a drink, and a nice space to do it in - although picking up food was a little confusing at first because of the way they seem to be sharing their space. The Brioche buns didn't seem distinctly Brioche-y compared to most of the Brioche I've had but ultimately the sandwiches were tasty. If you're an islander you should give this place a try! Happy with what I got.

Yummy food and great service. We both had the halibut and it was delicious. Some of the kindest wait staff. Highly recommend.

We had reservations so we did not need to wait long to be seated. Service overall was pleasant. There was a Happy Birthday note on the table which was really cute and appreciated. They didn't have enough menus for those they seat. We were initially provided one to share with apologies. Later they brought us another one. For a restaurant with these prices we would think they'd have enough menus printed for patrons. When we started to order we learned they were out of the house made bread and the marinated olives and toasted almonds. Our reservation was pretty early in the evening so, similarly to Seabird, we were dumbfounded how items like this were already not planned for well nor available with a small menu. We didn't want any other starter so moved along. I ordered the country steak bavette steak going against the risk from other reviews, but I really wanted steak. The steak was cooked med rare like requested. The steak itself was okay. The interesting part was the spread of green sauce and other did not add any flavor to the experience. It could not have been there and same difference. I can't say I'd order again. The Agate Burger was kind of dry and I would not order that again. Someone else had undercooked. Ours seemed over cooked. Like pizza, burgers are one of those items that I'm always shocked when it's not basic enjoyable. When you've made basic and delicious burgers at home, you know it would take extra work to make it unsatisfying. Everyone loves a grilled burger. Ling cod and prawns - Ling Cod was cooked REALLY well, but the overall dish lacked flavor and left you again unsatisfied. We asked to see the dessert menu (of which we were given 1), but even though it was my birthday we made the decision to skip dessert. We enjoyed dessert at home. Others seemed to have different experiences so you can decide, but it's not a cheap gamble. It was hard to ignore the glaring chipped wall right next to our table. I'm not really sure how I feel about the ambiance. Seems like a small thing, but the candle wasn't lit. Had to ask for a light. It wouldn't. Had to ask for another one to be brought. We tried really hard to improve our experience from all angles possible lol Parking - private lot. The museum is closed so you should easily find a spot.

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and well executed in this fusion restaurant. The spicy truffle wontons with grilled shrimp were a standout! They were super aromatic with the truffle flavor coming through, and the shrimp added a nice extra layer of texture and richness. The wontons were not quite spicy, however. We also tried thier chili prawn noodles, which had egg noodles and was just as good. The tempura shrimp was also crunchy and added to the great mix of textures. We also had the rockfish, which was in a nice creamy sauce and cooked nicely, complementing the rest of the meal well.

Among a few other spots, Ba Sa was on our hit list to check out, so we came by for lunch. Its a nice looking modern Vietnamese restaurant with a fusion-y spin on Viet food. We didn't know what to order so we looked at a bunch of photos to see what looked good. We started off with the Chicken Buns. It was really good karage chicken bao buns, very flavorful, nicely prepared and the mayo was tasty! We really enjoyed this to start off our meal. As for our entrees, we got: Bun Cha Hanoi: Good amount of meats, I really liked this, comes with 2 pork patties, 2 grilled pork skewers, an egg roll, noodles to dip in the nuoc cham sauce with lettuce to make some wraps. I went to town on this! Sautee Beef Vermicelli: I got some bites to this dish as well, beef was plenty, quite flavorful stir fried beef, good marinade on the beef, comes with vermicelli noodles with some assorted veggies and crispy bits on top. A good non soup beef noodle dish! We came at a good time, we got seated pretty quickly, friendly staff, it is on the pricier side but we enjoyed the food a lot. The place got busier when we were leaving. Worth coming by to check out if you in the neighborhood!

The restaurant smells of smoke when you walk in. I smelled the salmon that the table had as we walked by as well, which typically isn't a good sign for cooked fresh salmon. I got a special, cassoulet and a side, wood fired kabocha squash. The cassoulet didn't taste of anything really. My wife described the food as "gray". It was also $48 which was conveniently left out of the description the server gave me. The kabocha squash wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. The server was fine, quickly there to get drink and food orders and the check. The woman who I presume is the owner went around to every table to greet the diners but left ours out. She also brought the food out to every table but ours. The total was nearly $200 due to a 20% dine in service fee where "66% goes to staff who cooked and served" where does the other third go then? The 20% should be the tip, and should go to staff. I felt obligated to add a tip on top for the server, as it felt she was being treated unfairly by the restaurant. Will not be back, and advise others to stay away unless they make changes.

The outside hasn't changed since it opened and was actually refined, so it still looks upscale. Once inside, it gives very strong Cracker Barrel vibes: the framed posters of herbs provided the perfect atmospheric compliment for the basic menu: meatloaf, chicken pot pie, and other Cracker Barrel specialties. The pasta of the day was overpriced Mac and cheese. We ordered the shrimp starter, I had the Five Vegetable plate, and my husband got the meatloaf. I also had a glass of the brut rosé. The service was so slow that we had to order bread to tide us over before the app arrived. I immediately recognized the $5 roll as the frozen mini baguettes from Trader Joe's. I thought maybe they would taste better than that, but nope. If they are not from Trader Joe's, I would be shocked. The shrimp was grilled on top of wilted greens. You really needed the greens to help the monumental salt from the shrimp. My tongue was burnt from so much salt. Half an hour later, the entrees arrived. The 5 vegetable Plate was a miracle of epic failure. The cauliflower could hardly be cut without a steak knife. It was almost raw with no seasoning. The beets were boiled. The bok choy was soaked in some salty sauce until it was brown, then cooked till wilted beyond recognition. The acorn squash had the consistency of glue paste. But the crown achievement was the "flan" in the middle. I am still not quite sure what it was trying to be, but it was not a flan. It was more like scrambled eggs with the consistency of sand. I took one bite of each veg and did something I have never done in my life - I sent it back to the kitchen. I had a bite of my husband's meatloaf, which had the consistency of wet dog food. The entire meal was so awful, it's baffling to me how they get four stars. Go elsewhere.

Stopped in for a bite of dinner after we were torn between another local pub (near Safeway) or here. We both had such fond memories of Docs and that led us to our choice. Got seated quickly but it took kinda forever to get even water delivered much less a drink order placed. We decided to make our dinner order too because of the drink delay. Hubby was too happy that they had his fav beer - black butte porter -available so her ordered that. My Chardonnay was from WA which is not my fav but it was a choice of $11/glass or $20/glass for an overpriced, under-tasting CA option. Our dinner came almost too quickly. 3 piece fish and chips. First impression: wow, that's hardly any fries. Second impression: wow, how long have these been sitting out. You can always depend on Docs fries to be amazing but not this time. They were limp, soggy and just about inedible. We did let our waiter know and he did reorder us a batch but they came almost at the end of our dinner tho. BUT these were the fries we rave about at Docs... hot, crispy, real potatoes. Yum! Now the fish: the cod itself was perfect. Thick, fresh, hot, moist but I don't know what this 'crusting' is. It's like it's been rolled in seasoned cracker crumbs then fried sure it's crispy but it's like it's encased in edible armor. Not a fan. The batter they used to have was so superior to this. I was disappointed to be honest. Upon paying and leaving hubby says: well, we won't do that again. It's too bad because it was such a regular hangout for us with my folks who just about everyone knew by name. It's also my first time back since they passed (2021) so I really was missing them. Not the same on many levels. Even the crack sauce wasn't 'right.' I've never left any behind in the cup before...I did this time.
