Most massage therapists can't go deep but these ladies are strong and then they walk on your back which gives the pressure I like. One thing I don't care for is that it seems that they have a routine of massage and don't really work the place I want them to so I have to remind them of my problem area so they give it more attention. When you make an appointment with them, they will text you reserved stalls that you can park in as sometimes the visitor stalls are taken up which is nice that you don't have to worry about it. Overall this place is clean and the people are friendly and it's a fair price which is why I have come here multiple times.

And the masseuses were so transparent and said they weren't certified for that, but will try will their best to accommodate. My MIL's masseuse asked a bunch of questions. And then we got our massages... My MIL seriously loved hers. She said her knee felt so much better. And it was way better than a Thai massage. So, MIL approved... and did I mention I absolutely loved mine???

I could have done it at the Royal Hawaiian next door, but I have found that hotel massages are usually not intense enough for me. I came up Sakura in my search. Good reviews and great prices. My son has never had a massage, so I invited him along for his first. The deep tissue was incredible. I wish I knew the name of the lady who massaged me so that I could let everyone know, but I failed to get it. Although I am still a bit stiff that is by no fault of hers, it's because I'm a mess. She even told me that I need to work less because I'm so tight in my shoulders. Haha. If only I could! She told my son to take care of me because my shoulders are too tight. My son was thrilled with the experience as well. The building has multiple massage places in it. Two on the bottom floor, but take the elevator to the 31st floor for Sakura. Do not make the mistake that we almost made going into the wrong one. I saw the sign was not Sakura and we walked back out. I'm glad I noticed. The view is awesome if you need that as well. The windows are floor to ceiling and you're high up. Parking is $4 with their validation. So worth it. Thank you!!

As soon as you check in for your appointment, there are forms you will have to complete and while you do that, you are provided with a warm face towel and soothe the nerves and to begin your relaxation treatment. The staff member that greeted me was very warm and welcoming. You are offered a luxurious robe and slippers to wear during the entirety of your spa treatment. Prior to entering your treatment room, they ask you to wait in a beautifully curated and super cute room with a water dispenser and mixed nuts for you to enjoy while you wait. It was a whole vibe with low lighting , modern touches and such comfortable lounge chairs. Donna was the female who served me. She seemed very knowledgeable about how to better care for my skin and was thorough with each step she took. After your treatment, you have the option to take a nice, warm bath in their state of the art, delta showers and help yourself to the products in the bathroom. I can't wait to visit again :)

However, if you want a solid massage in a studio that's convenient and clean, I think you'll like Island Therapy. I've been seeing Mai for about a year. She's a very skilled massage therapist -- don't let her small frame fool you, she's strong and really knows how to work out knots. She's also an intuitive therapist; she always seems to know exactly where I'm hurting. I should mention that Mai's massages lean therapeutic rather than relaxing, so if you're looking for something more soothing, let her know beforehand. I have an old injury, and her massages have made a real difference -- I used to have a constant, dull ache, but since seeing her once a month, I haven't had any issues. Booking is done through text, and I usually hear back within 20-30 minutes -- very convenient. I also think her prices are very reasonable, especially given her level of skill. I once saw a massage therapist who charged $350 for a two-hour massage -- great massage, but not sustainable long-term. Island Therapy's prices are reasonable enough that I can keep up with monthly massages. As for the space, the office is in a nondescript building, After you book your massage they'll send you instructions on entering the secured building. Parking is free and convenient.

What stood out: - the whole place was clean, bright, and smelled lovely. Room was clean and staff was ready to get us started. - friendly front staff- very welcoming! The lady greeting us asked if was Kathleen and was happy to greet us - not in a fake way. Walked us through add ons without being pushy. - Tomo was my masseuse and was very knowledgeable. She looked at my back and could immediately see I was side sleeper. She gently asked if two places on my back were in pain - and she was right!!! She recommended both Lomi Lomi and shiatsu combo techniques and would gently warn me if something would be a little painful (it wasn't - but a little tender). She also made recommendations on my body that had low circulation (Were cold spots on my body) and how to mitigate with heating pad etc. I've never had such a thoughtful masseuse. She explained each body holds different areas of stress that can manifest as pain/knots and she loved to figure out what a client needed - like a puzzle. You can tell she took her job seriously and also wanted her client to get the very best out of the experience. One of the best massages I have had. Tomo should have her own practice, I would follow her anywhere. - my husband had a lovely woman who knew how to handle his pain points. Men are of few words but I could tell he was very pleased. Don't hesitate - book it.

She also provided instructions after each item session (my package included facility use, scrub, massage, and facials). I got to the facility ~30 mins before my appointment. An employee walked me through the facility and provided instructions. I used the hot tub and plunge pool before the scrub. After my session was done with Mina, I had lunch with friends. After that, I used the dry and charcoal rooms. The business was clean and organized. They had lockers for us to store our things in. Wish I could give 0 stars. I called to make the reservation. They asked me if I was paying cash, I…read moresaid no, but I will be giving the tip in cash. People forget that unless they have a policy for this, we're not obligated to give cash. Anyway, massage way too rough, I get a massage once a month and I've been doing it for years, so I know when someone just doesn't know how to do it. The moment comes to pay, my masseuse wasn't happy when I said I was paying on card, but I told her I had the tip in cash. I gave her $20 and asked for change. I've been in the restaurant industry for 11 years. Let's not forget tips ARE NOT MANDATORY, and a should be what the customer believes fair. She looked hosted and started complaining IN MY FACE about the tip, then out of nowhere she pretends to not have cash to give me back. So you're telling me that a place that's adamant on getting their payments in cash, doesn't have cash to give back? I started getting frustrated because she was being rude and ungrateful, I told her to keep it. If you are so desperate for it, be my guest, keep it. She comes out and says "I don't have cash but I have an orange". Excuse me??? What if I had given her an orange instead of money??doing this strategy in order to keep the amount of tip that they want is petty, embarrassing and unprofessional. Please stop supporting businesses that complain to the customer about the tips they're getting. As I said, I've been in the restaurant industry for 11 years, not once have I complained about a tip, it's unacceptable and unprofessional. Go somewhere else, don't waste your time here.
