Amazing! The most unique and delicious dessert I have had on the island. Every bite was a little different, but all perfectly balanced and interesting. I had the #6, and I highly recommend! The service was great too. Very helpful and friendly.

We are so glad we chose Island Soul for our Shave Ice! Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and generous with their time describing all the choices.

This is my first time on the island and was told I must have Shave Ice. This is a great place to get it. The service is great and you can tell they care house their quality of service and product.

Cute place with a fun vibe and friendly staff! The store is small and a little hard to spot from the street since the entrance is on the side, but once inside it's clean and decorated with some really nice murals. The interior is pretty tight, with a narrow walkway between the seating areas. When we visited, almost every seat was occupied, so we had to make our way to the far end and squeeze past other customers to find a place to sit. There was also an area marked for employees only (at what would have been the front door) and boxes were stacked in front of part of the bench seating, which made the space feel a bit cramped. The menu is very limited, with eight bowl options, all priced at $14.99 and no sign of a standard type shave ice. The portion is large and includes fresh fruit, but there is not a children's size or a smaller, lower-priced option available. If you are looking for a traditional shave ice shop with lots of syrup flavors and the ability to customize a simple shave ice, this probably is not the place for you. We ordered what was essentially the plainest shave ice available, just ice with two flavors, and it was still charged at the same price as the specialty bowls. There was not an option for a basic shave ice on the menu, we had to ask for that (since my son doesn't eat all the extra stuff and only wanted plain strawberry banana flavors) and the flavor selection was fairly limited overall. They were also out of a couple of flavors during our visit, despite already having a relatively small selection (around a dozen total). I also found the ice was not as finely shaved as I expected, and the flavors left an aftertaste. While the portions are bigger (served in a bowl), the price felt high for something that melts quickly. Adding ice cream costs extra, bringing the total close to $20 for a single shave ice. One small thing that stood out to me is that they refer to it as "shaved ice" rather than "shave ice." Visitors may not notice the difference, but in Hawaii, "shave ice" is the traditional local term and part of the culture, so the wording felt a little out of place - and definitely didn't seem local (Everyone we saw seemed to be either a tourist or military). That said, the employees were genuinely friendly, and the shop itself is cute. It may appeal to those looking for specialty fruit-forward creations, but it was not quite what I was expecting from a traditional Hawaii-style shave ice experience, especially given the price point. I did like that they had a little treasure chest for kids to pick a surprise! It was small bubbles but was a fun surprise for my son!

We stopped here to get some shave ice on the way to pick up our car and we're not disappointed! I was a little apprehensive since it's called 'shaved ice' and not 'shave ice' but it was really good! Super cute and family friendly interior, delicious shave ice and excellent customer service. We will definitely come back!

Was on a Costco run and stopped by here. All homemade with tons of fresh fruits. Owners took time to explain the menu and were so great. Never rushed us even when it was closing time. I definitely will come back and try the creamier flavors.

The owners are so sweet. The place is clean and so cute. The shave ice and ice cream did not disappoint at all. This place is the cutest.

Ono shave ice with fresh fruits. They make their own syrups with organic cane sugar--not too sweet. Bowl perfect size to share. Friendly service--the very kind lady explained the different menu options. We went with #2 lychee.

Hot day! Shave Ice is the answer!

Hot Day! Here is the answer.... good shave on the ice, just how I like it. Home made, no artificial flavors, real cane sugar. This is a really good choice for a healthier shave ice. Healthier because they make their own everything and no artificial nothing. Expect a slightly higher price shave ice or ice shave ( yesssss) but it is so much more tastier.

If you're on Oahu, Island Soul Shave Ice is easily one of our favorite stops. An absolute must before or after visiting the Bishop Museum (it's only 3-4 minutes away!). The rainbow shave ice was hands-down my kids' favorite out of all the shave ice spots we tried. They loved getting to decorate their own shave ice with three different flavors. It made the experience extra fun and personal. We also tried the cassava pudding and unique flavors like jasmine, taro, and pandan--something totally new for us. As someone coming from Los Angeles, it's actually hard to find something that feels truly different, but this absolutely was. Such a fun and memorable treat! The shop itself is such a vibe! Bright, cheerful, and filled with fun murals that instantly put you in a good mood the moment you walk in. Everything was spotless and well-kept, which I really appreciated. But what truly stood out was the hospitality. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. Genuinely above and beyond friendly. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back again. Highly recommend!

You can taste the quality of the homemade all natural ingredients. The owner was super sweet and generous! Must try!

#3 watermelon flavor and assorted fruit

This shave ice place is different from other shave ice locations. They have set, special bowls, and all of their flavors are made in-house. All of the sugar candies are also homemade and hand cut. The inside is super cute! It's a mixture between beachy, modern, and clean vibe. There's a lot of colors, a large mural painting, and cute wood stools. The customer service is also great! They are very kind and the owner is so sweet. She's a cute, warm person and you can tell she has a passion/enjoys owning her shop. You can feel her pride in her work. I really enjoyed this location and I left full from all the fruit in my bowl.

Best frozen treat I've ever put in my mouth. Gourmet crafted shaved ice, with thoughtful ingredients. Customer service is amazing and kind. We got number 6 and 2.

We had the jasmine shaved ice. It was amazing! So good! So much thought goes into the ingredients and flavor choices.

You can also go to some shops in Waikiki but there service is meh and their prices are omg. Waiola Shave Ice is a local staple. It is tucked away in a neighborhood in Mo'ilili. They treat you like family and the service is speedy and with true Aloha spirit. The selection of flavors is great and they have any additional topping to offer you that you can think of. They do have a store to buy merch if you are into that and want a souvenir. They have a bench where you can sit and eat. There is also a decent parking lot but cars can only drive in one direction and need to back out to leave. I recommend parking at the local park that is a half block from here (check the signs for certain days/time where you cannot park), but it is a shady place with grass and trees to enjoy your goodies. Parking is more plentiful and easier to maneuver and there are plenty of places to sit. My family is a bunch of tough critics and this is now their new favorite spot to check out when we are in town.

Service was quick and friendly, I got the "Da Works" which is large size, comes with ice cream on the bottom, condensed milk drizzle, lychee jelly and mochi balls. Also has Mango, POG and lychee syrup. Serving was really big which I think justified the $10. Ice was super soft and syrups were tasty. They lost a star though because the mochi wasn't fresh, was quite hard in the middle. Would come back again, I want to try the Custard Bowl next.

I mean, I'm all about dessert before a meal. In my experience, it is always a challenge to eat Halo halo because it's filled to the top. My strategy: take off the cover (if it's not overspilling: if it is, skip this step), eat some of the ice cream, and take a few sips! That should leave you enough room to mix everything, each scoop you should get a different bite. A long spoon would be best for the larger sizes! Magnolia did not disappoint. I'll be back!!

They charged $12 for a regular shaved ice. It's mainly just water you are paying for. I saw about 12 people walk in, be flabbergasted by the price and walk out. I would save my money and get local shaved ice for half the price elsewhere.
