This is a difficult feat, as most lumpia Shanghais are pork-filled; some offer chicken, but, honestly, it's just not flavorful. I saw that N &N, aka Nena's (on their sign), has a hot food bar as well as catering services. I double-checked that they had beef lumpia and made sure that they wouldn't run out by the time we got there (since it would be bit of a trek). You make your way to the end of the market, and you place your order(s); lumpia is made fresh-to-order, and I could see some of the staff filling and handrolling the lumpias in the kitchen - such a good sign! The lumpias came out piping hot, and I loved that N &N serves it with the sweet chili sauce (instead of that other weird sauce that other automatically include) - these were deep-fried, crispy, and the beef filling was flavorful and garlicky. There are also frozen lumpias that you can fry up at home, but the convenience of eating them right away is a plus! I'd love to try out their lunch combos and their empanadas on the next visit. Staff were very kind and sweet; the market itself had a good modest selection of items, and it was well-organized and clean. Payment is taken up at the cashier, located at the front. Located at the Saint Mary's Square Shopping Center, there's plenty of parking in the large plaza lot. +tasty beef lumpias! +friendly service +located at the Saint Mary's Square Shopping Center +ample parking in large plaza lot

I ordered the salmon avocado roll and spicy tuna roll. Both rolls were pretty warm despite it having raw fish in it because it was stacked under the piping hot chicken katsu. I also got the shrimp tempura roll, which tasted fine, but all the rolls had too much rice. As for the chicken katsu , it was over fried and very dry. I was pretty disappointed with the food here and won't be back.

Waited a very long time just for drinks (about 5 minutes). When the server arrived with our drinks, he did ask us if we needed straws and we ended up getting it ourselves. I was thirsty and was waiting a while for our server to get me a refill. Please wasn't too busy with a few tables filled. We ordered steak and chicken hibachi dinners with soup or salad We waited quite a while for our salad which I prompted the server to get us sooner. While the salad was good, the soup came with our entrees (finally) so I didn't have a chance to partake in warm soup and risk the entree getting cold. The Steak was good but was a little too Well done for my taste. My partner s steak was also too well done. The serve seemed rushed when he delivered our food so I could asked for the Ginger sauce that I normally would have with the steak. The chicken, rice, and veggies were good but not as good as I would expect. Bottom line. The food was good, the service.. subpar. They seem to be geared towards take out orders because the service has been slow and abrupt as if they don't train them properly.

Every single space was taken even though there were barely any customers inside. Dunno what was up with that! Street pay parking was available, though. We chose our own table to sit at and the server came with the menus. After a short while, the server came with hot water. Looked over the menu and decided on what we wanted.... Placed an order of the regular Bibimbap with Beef, a Chicken Fried Rice and an order of the Pig's Feet. We also asked for iced water. The server brought out some side dishes and along with the plates and silverware. Then our dinner entrees came out one by one. Tasted the side dishes which seemed a bit old and not that fresh. The Bibimbap and Miso soup were tasty. There wasn't too much beef, but a lot of veggies. Our Chicken Fried Rice was good, but a little bland. Needed more seasoning. My wife said the Pig's Feet was good, so she liked that one. Our table service was fine.

Just a heads up. ;) Service: I received an incorrect order by an accident, and when I went back, they fixed the mistake quickly. I visited on a Friday around 6:30 PM and sat at the bar to catch the end of happy hour (Mon-Sun 5-7 PM). The bar was empty at the time, but a few other people showed up later. The dining room had a handful of tables occupied. In short, easy to get a seat. Drinks were good. I like the Somaek ($6) which is a small beer and a shot of soju. Beer ($7) was beer. We got some beef and pork mandu (dumplings) that were pretty good. 6 pieces for $10 on HH. We got two entrees, the Ddukbokgi ($28) and Yukgaejang ($29), which came with four banchan. Ddukbokgi is chewy rice cakes, gochujang, onion, and bulgogi. We thought it was only ok -- we've had better, including at Mandu in the past. Yukgaejang was a new dish for me. The menu described it as a "spicy beef stew, brisket, noodles, shiitake, bean sprouts, and egg." I expected the brisket to be sliced and recognizably brisket, but it was pulled -- it looked and tasted more like pulled pork. The dish also didn't have any noodles in it. I didn't like it. The banchan was seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. It was okay. Service at the bar was fine.
