Wow...probably one of the best kbbq experiences around. This was our first time but we decided to get the AYCE. Went with the brisket, Inju steak and pork jowl. Wow was the brisket and steak SO tender! And the Inju steak was very well marinated. And the pork jowl was so deliciously crunchy. So we got some more steak and pork jowl! And then we got the egg soufflé and seafood pancake. Wow the egg was so fluffy and flavorful. And the seafood pancake had some legit seafood flavors in an extra large pancake. We had to take it home because we just could not finish any more. But overall this place is a must. Service was top notch as he explained everything and even helped cook for us. I liked my experience at Jongro. There's not that many choices for banchan, but the ones they had were tasty. We ordered an assortment of meats for grilling and I liked that the waiter came to our table to help us. I did notice he wasn't helping other tables as much, maybe our table looked clueless about grilling our own meat? I'm just too lazy to cook my own food, my colleagues did most of the work there. I was pouring drinks for people though. The decor is beautiful. There were giant projector screens playing music videos. Bathroom was clean. read more

I like to think of myself as a Korean BBQ Connoisseur. KBBQ has quickly risen to one of my favorite types of cuisine and I get KBBQ frequently. This resultant ranks lower on my list than others in the region. My Husband and I were nearby and decided to give this restaurant a try. I wish I could give half stars, because I would actually rate this place a 3.5 So let's talk about what went right. Overall our experience wasn't bad - but these are the things that went well: (1) Our server was great. He was quick, he was attentive, and he check on our table frequently. (2) They help cook and cut your food. This may be a little "spoiled" of me - but I like when the servers come around to check on your cooking and cut your food for you. (3) The Fried Chicken was seasoned well. It was very good fried chicken! (4) They play K-Pop! I'm not a k-pop fan by any stretch, but I did appreciate the K-pop that was playing and the screens that showed the accompanying music videos. One area of improvement I would suggest is the quality and seasoning of the meats. The meats here were not bad, but in comparison to other KBBQs in the region, they are lacking. The Garlic Shrimp was way too Garlicky, making it almost inedible. The Spicy Pork belly was okay, but I've had better. Nothing about the meats at this place "WOW'D" me or made me want to go to this place again. If I'm in the area, sure I'll eat here; but if I'm heading out from home to get KBBQ, this is not where I'll be going. read more

Been here a few times, so there is a point of reference. Very good experience overall. There is an excellent salad and banchan waiting when you sit down, so you can get right to eating. Free refills on those. Basic ACYE proteins were of good quality but feel that the price which used to include more appetizers is a bit high vs the competition. A la cart seafood pancake was excellent. Free desert was welcome. Service was friendly but our server struggled to get us water and manning the grill. This did not distract from the experience. It's tough to run a profitable restaurant, but few more included items would have us there more often. read more

I came across this location on a whim and didn't even realize it was there. My friend and I went on a Sunday night, and I was honestly pleasantly surprised. I've been to many KBBQ spots over the years, even before it became as popular as it is now, and this one stood out in a good way. The $32 all-you-can-eat dinner price is a solid value. The staff were pleasant, attentive, and very helpful throughout our visit. We waited maybe five minutes at most, mainly due to setup time (and a quick restroom break). I really enjoyed the variety of meat flavors. This was the first KBBQ spot I've been to that offered more than just the standard spicy or soy options. We were even given a unique complimentary dessert at the end, which was a nice touch, even though I was far too full to finish it. The space is smaller with an open layout rather than booths, but I actually liked that; it gave the place a different, more relaxed feel. The drinks were good as well; we tried a canned soju I hadn't had before and enjoyed it. I would definitely come back, especially on another off night. Returned for lunch and had an even better experience. When you first arrive there is no host to greet you. So just walk in and wave at one of the servers to get their attention. I thought they had lower lunch prices but not this time, why? Still the food was excellent. Their salad is very fresh and delicious. Our server looked like a KPOP star. I wanna give this place 4.5. I don't thimk the food was the best kbbq that I've ever been to in that I didn't like every single thing we got. But outside the mango chadol (way too sweet and not very good) and the regular chadol, everything else was good. The samgyup Sal was pretty good and thick but very fatty. The Dwenjang jigae wasn't very traditional at all, but I enjoyed how they did it. The thing about this place that makes me wanna go back was the service. From the hostess who was amazing over the phone and in person to our server. The hostess was super welcoming and represented the business very well. This place just opened up and a group of us wanted to give it a try. It's like any other Korean bbq spot, endless amount of different meats and sides to eat you can either cook the food yourself or have one of the staff do it. The price wasn't too bad, $32 for all you can eat which is way cheaper than ordering a la carte. We can on a Friday night and it was pretty busy which meant the server had to go back and forth between several tables (that caused a delay in the food since we weren't sure if the meat were cooked completely). The food was good, the shrimp however was disgusting (it had no seasoning/marinade and therefore 0 taste). Also, they just received their liquor license but was not serving cocktails, just bottled alcohol like beer or Sojou. I'd like to be back once they've gotten more settled and found their rhythm. read more

We had dinner here on a Sunday evening on Memorial Day weekend, so it was a bit quiet. But, that didn't speak for the overall experience. If anything, it was a little better as the sound wasn't cranked up on the K-POP playlist (which was pretty bangin' if I'm being honest!). The food, though, that was most memorable. It's a pretty standard Korean BBQ AYCE experience, but... the food here was better than most I've tried so far! Beef bulgogi, pork bulgogi, soy garlic pork steak, beef brisket, and soy garlic chicken: that's what we ate. And every single dish was splendid! Both bulgogi were up there with the best I've ever had. The server was friendly and did a great job cooking the meat. He made great conversation and he moved super-fast, even though the place wasn't that busy. Everyone did actually! Honestly, this might be one of the best Korean BBQs I've ever been to. My daughter requested this as her birthday dinner location. This is our second time coming to a KBBQ establishment. We were a party of 9 and were well accommodated by our server Sophia. Everyone in the party had different levels of exposure to KBBQ. And that may have effected a few of the cooks on our meats. And yes, that is because you cook your own meats. The previous experience I had the food was cooked for us and I believe that worked better. Also, with such a nice variety a lot of the cuts of beef were tough. Of the beefs we tried our favorites were the jongro steak (the most tender of the night) and the spicy beef bulgogi (lots of tough gristle, but tasty). We had no complaints on either of the chicken options. Someone on our grill is allergic to seafood, but the other grill cooked it (shrimp) and it wasn't bad. I just can't do uncleaned shrimp. The only additional side we requested was the Korean fried chicken. I eat Korean fried chicken from and different establishment so had different expectations. The Korean fried chicken wasn't bad though. More like extra breaded nuggets. All in all a good value, but would like more warm veggie accompaniments. The next time I try, I will go for an a la carte entree. The decor is Korean and blast from the past. Casual dining, but you can dress up as you wish depending on the occasion or reason for dining. We walked in and it wasn't very busy only had a short wait, we had never been to a Korean BBQ restaurant before. It's a all you can eat restaurant it also says that you can only stay for 90 minutes. We explained to the host that we weren't familiar with the food after he sat us another lady came over and we told her the same so she took the menu and explained that it's all you can eat we pick 3 items at a time. Beef, pork, chicken and seafood. They bring the meat out and place it on the grill in n the table you can turn it and they will come by and help cook it for you. Everyone stopped and asked how thing are and if we needed anything. We really liked the thin sliced beef that's marinated the thin sliced pork belly was also very good. After the grill gets burnt food on it they change out the center for your next cooking. Everything was good we will return just make sure your hungry to get your moneys worth. There is 2 screens playing music videos while you eat the decor is different the bar still wasn't up and running they hadn't received the liquor license yet. read more

Great food. Lunch special is excellent value. The service was really good as well, Justin did a great job taking care of us. Everything was decorated for Halloween which was neat. Quick word- stuff isn't very spicy by default. (I kind of liked this, the gochujang was deliciously smokier than I've generally had it). If you like paying a lot of money to eat burnt low quality food, this place is for you. This was our first time, so we asked the waitress for suggestions. We tried the chicken, shrimp, brisket and bulgogi. For sides we had the steamed egg, kimbap (which the waitress said was veggie sushi - it's actually hot dog), and chicken wings. We also paid $2 extra for a veggie tray. We asked the server to manage the grill since we didn't know how long food should cook. Every time she came to turn the raw meat, she set the tongs with bits of raw food right next to my husband's plate. When she delivered the sides, the kimbap was smooshed against her chest since her hands were carrying other dishes. Who wants to eat that?! The chicken was dry and rubbery, the brisket came out as rolled up frozen meat. I joked my husband that it looked like the meat from a steak ums box. Tasted as flavorless as that too. Everything we ate was charred and tasted burnt. The whole place smelled like a campfire. Nothing was good. Alcoholic drinks were $16 each. I would not recommend it and wish we could get our $100 back. read more

Our server was Matt, who was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the food and amicable to talk to. I went with my husband on a date night. The food is SO GOOD! Get the all you can eat! We did, definitely worth it. We got all the beef bulgogis available (didn't have orange) and those were our favorites. The shrimp was perfectly juicy! We got the cumin pork belly and spicy pork bulgogi (Matt's favorites and we could see why) and they were both delicious! The soy garlic ribeye was also delicious! The thin sliced pork belly was definitely good but not as good as the others (husband said I might not have let it cook long enough, plus no seasoning). I also tried the corn cheese out of curiosity. It's creamed corn. It's good, it's just basically creamed corn. The one fraction of a point negative would be that the music was loud. But it was also cool and interesting and I liked seeing the music videos. So that's why I'd keep the review at 5 stars. Oh yeah. The decor is pretty nice, too. As it turned out, Justin was our preparer which added to our evening - we discussed biking, life and how his career. His ability to sense how we wanted our food prepared was critical as I like more spicy fair compared to my guest. The atmosphere was on the quiet side. The food here isn't terrible, but it's also very forgettable. It looks like they grabbed the cheapest cuts of meat they could find. If you've been to any other Korean BBQ place you'll understand. The meat at this place looks like dog food. Although the food doesn't taste terrible, the prices you pay are astronomical. I have a family of 5, and my 3 kids cost approximately 20 bucks each to eat there and realistically only ate about $10 amongst them all yet we had to pay $60 basically for a seat. My kids just aren't big eaters and there is no way to accommodate that with their menu. They couldn't share a plate, which is what they typically do. For the price you'll pay for their food, and the extremely cheap cuts of meats with lackluster flavor, I cannot recommend eating here. Lastly, our grill kept breaking. Rather than moving us to another table, they spent 40 minutes constantly bringing someone to our table to "fix" it. Many times leaving raw food just sitting at room temperature on a cool grill. read more

Great experience! My husband and I came here with some friends during, I believe, their soft opening period. My husband and I love KBBQ -- we frequent Iron Age, but are happy to have this place open up closer to home. We chose the AYCE option and had brisket, soy garlic chicken, mango beef bulgogi, and soy garlic beef bulgogi. We also ordered spicy rice sticks, Korean fried chicken, cheese corn, and extra orders of japchae and sliced radishes. Everything was delicious - the mango beef bulgogi was a standout! I think that their meat selection is better than Iron Age and have a better variety of sides. I feel like the quality of the meat is comparable to Iron Age. Iron Age has better japchae, though. This place has a great setup and great potential but they aren't there yet. Rice is substandard, this is a somewhat table stakes concern. Meat is pretty solid all around. They use tin foil for other items, very small, the steamed egg is approximately 1/10th of honey pigs version. No alcohol at the moment but I understand that will be fixed soon. I was so excited to try out a new place. My second time at a Korean BBQ place... Bad decision.... All I want to tell you is I left there 2hrs ago... Stomach twisting, turning and jumping all the way home. I'm screaming in pain. Y'all... I was on the toilet with a plastic bag in my lap for an hour! The burning fire juice uncontrollably shooting out the trunk... I'm praying to God to get me through. I think I might have to run back to the bathroom in a minute. COUNT YOUR DAYS JONGRO!!! Food wasn't even good. No seasoning. Feel like I got GOT ordering the all you can eat and barely could eat anything. My husband couldn't even eat the shrimp because they keep the shell on it and prior to you having to cook the food yourself.. they over steam them in the back and when you peel them to eat, it's stuck to the shell and a chopped up mess and they didn't smell fresh at all. The decor is very cool and reminded me of being in a haunted warehouse because it's decorated for Halloween. We came in around 9:30 PM and just ordered an appetizer...which is an option. I guess the chef had to leave for an emergency during our meal but our waiter more than made up for it. He even offered to pay for our food, which was delicious so we paid and left happy.
