Keenan Yoshida, the boss, was very easy to talk to and explained the entire process. His estimate was very reasonable, too. His crew was respectful of our home and made every effort to keep it as dust free and clean as possible during the renovation process. They were very professional in their demeanor. Fast forward six years, it was now time to do window replacement. I had several companies provide an estimate before thinking about asking if Keenan did that type of job. Keenan promptly came by with the window representative and explained the various window models and suggested which type of window for each area. Within a few days, he provided us with an estimate that was very reasonable. When the windows arrived, his crew began working on the install and was done in a few days. Once again, they covered everything with plastic to keep the home as clean as possible. Keenan was on-site daily, answering questions that popped up. He also responded to text messages promptly. They didn't rush through the job at all and repaired things around the window on their own so that the rest of the area around the window looked just as new as the windows. We did a two phase remodel, the first of which was in anticipation of our coming to HI to retire. Sean was recommended by our property manager. We were doing this during a pandemic, from 2500 miles away, learning very quickly how limited decorator choices were on island. Like another reviewer stated, Sean was amazing. He would send texts with videos, comparisons, suggestions not only for materials but having worked in other units in our development, suggested upgrades and changes he'd done or seen that we frankly wouldn't have thought to do. These were truly suggestions, not an up sale because some weren't in his favor. He finished on time and it was pretty darn perfect when we arrived. A month later we attacked the kitchen. Sean again rose to the occasion, getting the job done under the estimated time and we absolutely love it, it's better than we ever thought it could be. The experts at Island Residential helped me get through our insurance water loss. Our pipe burst and they were on the scene to help get our place salvaged and dry. They went above and beyond to help talk us through this process as we had never filed a insurance claim before. Not only did they do an excellent job drying, fixing, and rebuilding our home. They gave the best customer service. I could tell Brandon and crew really cared about us and took his time explaining the required steps and processes needed. With a referral from a friend of mine, I hired them to remodel may living room which looks old. Vintage is all the rage now but modern living room is very pleasing to the eye. They sent me proposal and I absolutely loved it at first look. They are very detailed and hands on with the project they have with my living room and I'm pleased with them. Our downstairs neighbors' ceiling was starting to bulge because of a leak coming from our place. After a plumber came in the fix the leak I needed to find someone quickly to take care of the giant hole the plumbers had to make in our neighbors' ceiling. My husband and I were having some trouble installing some flooring, so we decided to seek a professional. Island Residential was referred to us so we called for a quote . They were quick to respond and gave us a quote within a few days. We have decided to stop proceedings with Home Depot for our countertops so we could go through Island Residential instead which was a lot quicker and cost effective. I remember how quick they were to reach out when they wanted our business / $ but when we needed follow up assistance, no reply at all. Even if it was that they can't help us - they can still respond. I have reached out to a few other flooring companies and they were professional enough to respond to our inquiry. I never understood why some businesses believe it's okay to just ignore and not respond. Do the basic of basic things like respond to a text / email.

I was so impressed with the shower remodel that I hired them to do a full renovation of my second house. Once again, they did an amazing job with the kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, and painting! One thing I really appreciated was how involved they kept me throughout the project. I was able to choose all of the materials and fixtures, and they always checked in with me before moving forward. They made sure everything matched my vision, and I never felt left out of the decision-making process. No more worries about wonky drawers that fall out or possible creepy crawlies messing with our utensils and dishes. Ours was an original 70's kitchen so you can imagine how dated and broken-down it was. Kalani and his specialists really gave our sad kitchen a huge update. We had everything done. From taking out a side wall with electrical running through it to new cabinets, tile flooring, and all new kitchen/pantry/living room lighting. Surprise surprise, on day one during demo, they found mold. Thankfully, took care of that issue. Then came our outdated electrical lines. They changed the lines and brought it all I up to code. Any questions or issues that arose, Kalani made sure to respond and provide solutions. Believe me when I say, older places come with a lot of hiccups so we appreciate Kalani and his expertise.
