Outstanding job to Leo and his crew. We needed to paint the exterior of our 2 story house and they came out and got it done in 2 days!!! Just in time for showings! First day they washed the house with water and a solution. Day 2 they came out around 7am ish and got an early start on the caulking and went into painting. They were done by 5pm. Very professional crew and all the guys were nice. Pricing was reasonable and fair for all the work they did. If we needed to paint our house in the future, we would call Leo again. Amazing work and very professional! After requesting a quote on yelp, Leo called and after our discussion, he went by the house and drafted up a couple of different plans and quotes. He was by far the cheapest of the 3 quotes I had received. He was able to schedule the job within a couple of weeks, and was able to do it on the weekend. I gave him the color names, and he went and purchased all the paint required. He and his assistant power washed the house on Friday, and completed painting our entire 2,000 sq ft, 2 story house by Sunday night! I had heard horror stories of friends hiring painters who took weeks to finish the job. They cleaned everything up, and Leo even came back to check a couple of days later to do some touchups. Leo's Painting did an outstanding job painting the interior of our 1200sqft townhome and I felt comfortable with the estimate that he gave us. I had a previous experience with Leo and his team while we were renting a property in the Ocean Point area. He was very polite and friendly and his team was punctual. The owners hired them to paint the exterior of their home we were living in at the time and the end result was impressive. It was at that point I decided I would reach out to him again when we got our own place. A few weeks before we closed on our own house, I kept in contact with Leo. He was extremely responsive to my emails and calls. I was worried that his team would be busy this summer but he assured me that he would fit me into his schedule once I got the keys. Sure enough he and his crew started the 2nd day we became owners. With the colors already picked out, his team came to the property on time and was extremely professional, setting up and jumping right into work. Preparation prior to painting is an important aspect of a paint job which I found lacking. Holes and cracks were caulked right before and after exterior was painted after pointing out to owner. Areas were not sanded or patched to ensure a smooth, professional appearance. Most of the house was spray painted (uses less paint). Leo's responsiveness for an estimate and to meet HOA conditions, his hard-working team, and kindly lending me his hand truck to move heavy items away from the house is why I gave at least 4 stars instead of 3 as they were pleasant to work with. Paint comes with warranty against fading/peeling. Felt I overpaid since this is a small one-story home. Included military discount. read more

We want to thank Leo and his partner for the great work they did today cleaning out our gutters. With all the rain and wind lately, we ended up with a mini forest on one side of house. I called Leo's painting today as I found out my tenant had tried to touched up the rental without success. So my tenant agreed to pay for the repaint due to time crunch to have the new tenant move in within a couple of days. This was definitely an urgent issue for me to find a painter to remedy the situation. After reading all the good reviews from Yelp I called Leo's and he was very responsive, met me right away and told me he will get back to me with an estimate this afternoon, but he informed me he is very busy right now, the painting will take about 3 days so my rental will not be done by Sunday as requested. I told him the bill will go to my tenant and Leo was hesitant for a bit because he require a half down before any work can be done. I told him that will not be a problem. While I waited for Leo's painting estimate to come in, my tenant called me to let me know that they will do the repainting themselves and it will be done on time to meet the Sunday deadline. Right away I texted Leo to let him know that I will not be needing his estimate and I thank him for his time. Much to my surprised Leo responded very unprofessionally. Following are our unpleasant text exchanges. Today 11:44am Me: Leo, I called you earlier regarding paint quote. It's urgent, pls call me at this number as soon as you are able to talk. Thx. Sonya Today 2:00pm Me: Leo, Mahalo for your time, I will not be needing the est. my tenant will take care of the repaint. Sonya Today 3:30pm Leo: Thanks for the urgency. "eyes rolling emoji" Me: I would love to give you the business, maybe next time. There is no need for the eye rolling. Leo: Thanks but you can call someone else. Maybe you can find someone else's time to waste. I dropped everything to come out and help you because you said it was urgent. that's why I didn't call you back. Please don't bother me. This was our brief encounter with Leo's painting shortly after we moved into our house in 2015, so this review is way over due. Unfortunately, our experience with Leo's painting was similar to Giselle V. of Kapolei dated 5/5/2014. We called Leo's after seeing his truck passing by in our neighborhood. He arrived promptly and was friendly. Our first impression of Leo was positive but he quickly started to ask questions that were totally irrelevant with giving painting estimate - did we own or rent, how much did our home cost, where we were from, etc. (these questions seemed rather personal and irrelevant to job at hand). Right away Leo made us feel uncomfortable and intruded upon. He tried to sell us that his price was the cheapest around, he is very busy and we should decide quickly, his painters are journeymen, he has 5 stars reviews from Yelp, and we should go online and check it out. But his rushing us to sign a contract and demanding a 50% down payment before starting work really put us off. It goes without saying, we hired another company for the job. Recently we learned from our neighbor who used Leo's painting and was offered a special discount for cash only ( no paper trail ) and they have issues but was unable to get it resolved. The lesson was if the deal was too good to be true, let the buyer beware. You get what you paid for. read more

Leo and his crew painted our downstairs last month. I am still so impressed and so thankful I booked Leos Painting Hawaii. I called him on a Saturday and he said he would have his crew out the next day except that it was Easter, so could they would come out on Monday. I called about 10 other businesses before I called Leo and they all gave me a big long spiel about how their whole summer was booked. Leo's crew showed up early that Monday and were done with the entire downstairs in record time. I was so impressed with how thorough they were. The price was also VERY reasonable and Leo called to check if I was satisfied and if there was anything he should send them back out to fix. Absolutely not, they did a perfect job.
