Daria was a wonderful initial point person and stayed in touch throughout the process by phone and text. Vova came out for the initial assessment and measurements, and he was patient, kind, and really listened to what I needed. The initial estimate was more than I could afford, and I thought I'd have to contact several other companies for bids. Oliver worked with me to bring the price closer to my budget, and I was able to skip that exercise. I also decided to handle the glazing and weatherstripping myself. Michael and Ivan came to do the work, and they were thorough, quick, and resourceful. These are very old windows, and they encountered some obstacles along the way, but they figured things out and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up beautifully and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone I dealt with was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The workmen's primary language is Ukrainian, so their English was sometimes limited, but this was easily handled because there was always someone in the office available to communicate with both of us in either Ukrainian or English. I've had plenty of experience with workmen whose first language isn't English, so this wasn't an issue for me. I also really appreciated the way the company combines technology with personal communication. Everything is handled efficiently, but you never feel like you're being left to deal with technology on your own. There was always a real person keeping in touch. The entire team is Ukrainian, which was particularly meaningful to me as an East Village resident and a Veselka old timer. I was very happy to support them. This is the way business should be done. This is, without question, the worst repair service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with…read more Our business door was out of fire code compliance and needed to be repaired urgently. We hired Artem and his team - a decision we regret. 1. They repeatedly no-showed. They kept promising to come take measurements and never showed up. I had to call multiple times just to get a response. They had to come twice to take measurements, which delayed the project by weeks. 2. They brought the wrong door. When they finally came to install, the door was too large - so instead of getting the right one, they carved into our wall to force it to fit. 3. The door had no lock. For a business! When I asked why, they had no answer. They had to return the next day to install a proper lock - which, by the way, is still not adequate. This delayed the project and disrupted our business operations. 4. They left our space damaged. Floors and walls were left with significant damage after they were done. 5. They installed the wrong hinges. The door required self-closing hinges to meet NY State Fire Code - the very code issue we hired them to fix. They failed to do even that. After all of this, they demanded full payment and became hostile when we pushed back. We now have to pay additional costs to fix the mess they created. We'd ask them to correct it themselves, but we will never work with them again.

His attention to detail stood out from the start, he inspected each window carefully before touching anything, checking the hinges, arms, and tracks to understand exactly what was causing the problem. Diagnosing the issue took some time since the problems weren't straightforward, but rather than rushing or guessing, he worked through it methodically until he had a clear picture of what needed fixing. Once he had that, he fixed both windows correctly and made sure they opened and closed smoothly before moving on. I also pointed out three other windows with issues, and Rob fixed all of them while he was there, which made the visit even more worthwhile. He walked us through some helpful information about insulation around the window frames and pointed out a couple of other minor issues worth keeping an eye on down the road. He answered all my questions, even the pretty basic ones, and never once made me feel dumb for asking. The price he charged for all the work was totally reasonable. Rob was professional and friendly the entire time, easy to talk to, and clearly someone who takes pride in doing the job right rather than just getting through it. If we decide to redo our windows in the future, Rob is who we'll call without hesitation. I definitely recommend him, especially since he's an independent local contractor rather than a big impersonal company. Highly recommend him for anyone on Staten Island dealing with windows.

We had a budget, and he helped us keep to it, but he really went above and beyond that. Other vendors told us there was no way to keep the 130 year window moldings, but Turab not only helped us keep them, but had so many neat tricks to improve our restoration project. Other vendors just gave us offers against our project scope, but Turab explained to us the dynamics of different windows in different parts of the house and what types worked best and saved us money. He made custom moldings for our cellar windows. He also helped us out to stop a fly tipping incident one day when we were out and not able to deal with it ourselves. And when it was pouring with rain and our basement flooded, he went outside and took a really long and hard look and told us what the problem was. We got it fixed the same weekend and never had issues since.
