This is, without question, the worst repair service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with…read more Our business door was out of fire code compliance and needed to be repaired urgently. We hired Artem and his team - a decision we regret. 1. They repeatedly no-showed. They kept promising to come take measurements and never showed up. I had to call multiple times just to get a response. They had to come twice to take measurements, which delayed the project by weeks. 2. They brought the wrong door. When they finally came to install, the door was too large - so instead of getting the right one, they carved into our wall to force it to fit. 3. The door had no lock. For a business! When I asked why, they had no answer. They had to return the next day to install a proper lock - which, by the way, is still not adequate. This delayed the project and disrupted our business operations. 4. They left our space damaged. Floors and walls were left with significant damage after they were done. 5. They installed the wrong hinges. The door required self-closing hinges to meet NY State Fire Code - the very code issue we hired them to fix. They failed to do even that. After all of this, they demanded full payment and became hostile when we pushed back. We now have to pay additional costs to fix the mess they created. We'd ask them to correct it themselves, but we will never work with them again.

Terrific experience from start to finish…read more I had a terrific experience with NYC Glass & Window Repair. Daria was a wonderful initial point person and stayed in touch throughout the process by phone and text. Vova came out for the initial assessment and measurements, and he was patient, kind, and really listened to what I needed. The initial estimate was more than I could afford, and I thought I'd have to contact several other companies for bids. Oliver worked with me to bring the price closer to my budget, and I was able to skip that exercise. I also decided to handle the glazing and weatherstripping myself. Michael and Ivan came to do the work, and they were thorough, quick, and resourceful. These are very old windows, and they encountered some obstacles along the way, but they figured things out and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up beautifully and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone I dealt with was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The workmen's primary language is Ukrainian, so their English was sometimes limited, but this was easily handled because there was always someone in the office available to communicate with both of us in either Ukrainian or English. I've had plenty of experience with workmen whose first language isn't English, so this wasn't an issue for me. I also really appreciated the way the company combines technology with personal communication. Everything is handled efficiently, but you never feel like you're being left to deal with technology on your own. There was always a real person keeping in touch. The entire team is Ukrainian, which was particularly meaningful to me as an East Village resident and a Veselka old timer. I was very happy to support them. This is the way business should be done. Five stars without hesitation!

You have to send multiple emails over a month's time to receive a response back. They make you pay up front but then stop responding once payment is processed, very shady interactions. They had pretty much done the same work to another unit in my building. That said, this is not a unique or difficult job. Their pre-sales pitch was consistent, they followed up, answered questions and etc. That all changed once the contract and checks where handed over. Complete radio silence. I gave them deposits on Friday Oct 11th. It's now November 11th over a month and I have not heard a single update nor have I seen the drawings I was promised by the sales rep Augustin. Furthermore, It's impossible to reach anyone by phone (they have no receptionist). I've called multiple times, emailed multiple times. On the occasion a did get a response, it was vague and a "update coming soon". Having just done a complete renovation of a 3 bedroom home, I know how long it take to do drawings. 3 simple windows, should not take over 4 weeks (and also considering they already did the SAME job to another unit in the building) I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I will update this review should there be any change in the project
