I've always missed this place but it's right by my house and I'm glad we found it for our dogs. Zoey which is a multi-poo and Lexi which is a golden doodle. Zoey is easy going and will listen. But Lexi on the other hand is very energetic and doesn't like to be touched on the face.... We used to take them to Petsmart to get groomed but no more. Isela's did a WAY better job with both my dogs. For now on we will be coming here! We are super surprised to see Lexi was perfectly groomed everywhere. Petsmart you can tell that there was areas that where missed. We took our dogs multiple times to Petsmart and always the same. Complaining about Lexi that she moves too much. Be careful... I took my fur baby there bc i saw it had great reviews and cheaper than my current groomers. Well, *Caution** The staff is not familiar with anal gland expression. I just paid $200 because they did it wrong, and it caused my poor dog anal gland infection and inflammation. Take your pets to Puppy Salon on Greenleaf , it may be a little more expensive, but they do a great job and they know about pet health/anatomy. Paying $10 less in grooming cost me $200 from their negligence. read more

Thank you Yelp for pulling through. I found Isela's Pet Grooming on Yelp and decided to book an appointment for my Milo. It had been 4 months without a haircut, due to quarantine. I called to make an appointment on Tuesday and was seen on Thursday morning! This place is about 25 minutes from where I live but hey, when you know, you know. I arrived at 9am for his appointment and Isela asked a ton of questions. She asked how I wanted his hair cut, showed me samples of different lengths of hair, asked about his medical history - just super thorough things. My baby does have super sensitive skin and she recommended giving him medicated shampoo for his hot spots, which is an additional $5. She also let me know she wouldn't put dog perfume on him because that'd irritate his skin (hello - so many other groomers have never done this even though I've told them about his skin). She also let me know that she'd work to gain his confidence, because he is nervous. And she let me know time-frame (so many others don't). My baby was ready in an hour and a half! Amazing. The fastest he's ever been groomed. When I arrived, he was sitting there and wasn't nervous. Usually he shakes but he was sitting so calmly and Isela explained that he was so well behaved, which I know he is! His skin looks so good and his haircut is perfect. I am now going to 100% drive those 25 minutes to make sure my baby continues to receive so much love during his haircut. Thank you, Isela! We will definitely be back. read more

I just wanted to update my review, as my pup will be 2 this coming weekend & this is the only grooming salon I take Comet too. This past weekend, I shared a reference photo of what I wanted, I actually got the inspo from a review here on Yelp, & I think I have finally found my go to haircut. The ladies did let me know that it wouldn't look exact, as the reference photo & Comet's fur were different, but I assured them it was just the face that I really wanted to replicate. THEY DID AMAZING & I am so happy with how he looks! Every time I bring Comet in, he's always smelling so clean & fresh. The ladies there take really great care of Comet. We actually own 3 dogs, including Comet, & we take all of our pups here. We recently got a pug a few months ago & they do so amazing on just a bath & nail trim. We actually bring the pug in for nails trims only sometimes & it's very quick, no appt needed. We love Isela's & we trust that they'll always take care of our pets! read more

Yay! Found a good and a decently priced pet GROOMER. Friendly, attentive, and...My little doggie comes out smelling fresh and looking clean. Love how they add a bandana around her neck and sometimes a hair accessory. This small business deserves the hype and recognition--so bring your pet(s) for grooming. Background story: we recently moved to Whittier and a good salon and groomer are hard to find. I'm so glad I found this little groomer. Same price as the other groomer I've been going to $50(no tip). Also, the only groomer in Whittier who is affordable and doesn't need a deposit or a long wait appointment. The only complaint is my dog's face wasn't thoroughly cleaned. This was like the 4th or 5th time taking my 2 year old Cavachon to Isela's. Never had an issue with anything there, but this time he got a summer trim. Found two places where it looks like the clippers nipped him. If it would of been something under his coat I'm sure they would have mentioned it, but to say nothing, is unacceptable. DONT COME HERE! I came in Tuesday morning. They left my dog with a big cut in his private area!! When I got him he was walking crooked/sideways I didn't think anything of it. Just thought he might be sore.. then I find out he has a HUGE CUT!! He's been crying and feeling uncomfortable. I had to take him to the hospital cause he was in so much pain and didn't want to him to get an infection... Isela's in Whittier- off Whittier Blvd & Lambert. Very small place, you do need an appointment. The owners have Yorkie's on site with extravagant styles. I actually asked my Mother to make Chula (my Morkie) an appointment with an outstanding groomer & Isela's had great reviews on Yelp. My girl is a puppy & likes to bite so the last groomer -won't say the name but next to Tubby's in La Habra gave her a mohawk the last time. I was dumped by PetSmart (after going there 8 times a year for the last 9 years to have my dog groomed) because my dog is old and had trouble standing in the tub. (Ever hear of a mat?) Anyway, when they refused to groom my dog, I ended up calling Isela's. They took my dog right away and did such an awesome job on him. I'm not sure what the problem is with these big pet store companies that refuse to work with senior dogs. Are they never supposed to be groomed after a certain age? Simply amazing!! I wish I would've found this place sooner for my pups first cut. I had him groomed with a mobile groomer and they botched him so bad! I was so disappointed considering it was his first cut and they practically shaved off his beautiful coat! I had been wanting to have it fixed but had to let it grow out. Took my maltipoo in today for his firsgrooming. Isela's staff was great from the first phone call, to the drop off and pick up. My puppy looked so great!! The cut was perfect and exactly was I was hoping for. The only thing I'd wish was better was the cleanliness of the salon floor and counters. Though I understand and expect there to be hair and fur about, it was a bit much and not a good first impression upon arriving.
