On our next visit, we brought my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and they loved it too. On our 3rd visit we brought my mother-in-law and father-in-law and their friends, typically hard to pleased people when it comes to eating out/drinks at an establishment and they enjoyed the cocktails also. Today we were out on a drive and had our mini Goldendoodle with us, we weren't sure if Lucky Guy's was dog friendly, so I popped my head in to see if they were dog friendly and found out they are on their patio and main level. I ordered my usual espresso martini and my husband got the Lucky Guy's Old Fashioned, we are creatures of habit and when we find a cocktail we like, we tend to stick with it. However, when we decided to have another round, I asked Guy what he recommended and he suggested the Somerset Martini, it did not disappoint. Guy knows what he's doing! The ambiance is great, warm and welcoming and it's tastefully decorated, right down to the bathrooms. Guy has been there every time we've been there and you can tell that he cares about his customers and the cocktails he's making. All other staff we've encountered at Lucky Guys have always been friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommend Lucky Guy's. If we didn't live over 40 minutes away, we'd probably be there a lot more frequently. Keep up the good work!

There are many seating areas indoors and out. A nice bar area as well as lounge type seating areas indoors and a small gift shop. Outside there were various vendor booths and food trucks. Lots of various options. The main event was in the back of the distillery. Unfortunately the weather turned so they moved the musicians and seating indoors so that did make it a bit crowded inside. For the tasting, we purchased a 3 taste card for $10. We were provided with a small tasting glass to take home as well. There were several tasting options from vodka to gin to bourbon and sweet options. After tasting a few options, we purchased the Lakeside premix old fashioned. Delicious! I'm not an old fashioned consumer but I liked it. We also purchased an Apple Pie Liquor which I believe they are launching was tasty. For food, we only ordered a pretzel which was served warm with mustards. It was good. The music was fun to listen and watch everyone dancing and enjoying themselves. We did order drinks from the bar in the forward section of the distillery. It is an indoor/outdoor bar. In addition to cocktails and beer, they serve pizza and pretzels. Copperwing has a place of its own amongst the thousands of drinking holes in the Twin Cities. You're imbibing in a distillery, but at a bar with a mixology and a bites menu. The cocktail list is interesting, and what I drank was delicious. I also drank shots of some of the different booze Copperwing produced. (It was a lot of liquor. The next two days were rough, and stupidly, we went to another distillery afterwards. I will never learn, and I'm 75 years old.) Liquor is like wine. We all have different tastes and palates. I liked one of Copperwing's vodkas, but not the other. Several of their offerings have won national awards. That's something everyone in Minneapolis can be proud of. Jack was our bartender, and he was gracious and accommodating. I will return to Copperwing Distillery soon, but will drink with more wisdom, sticking to one kind of booze and will drink lots of water.
