In Chisago City you will find Uncommon Loon. A newer brewery on the scene, they have a wide variety from the ever popular sours and IPAs to the classics like Blonde and Amber Ales. Inside is ample seating, though I didn't get to enjoy their lovely outside space due to the heat. I took advantage of some bar seating and ordered a flight. Peanut Gallery: A Peanut Butter Porter that takes an American Porter and infuses it with chocolate and peanut butter. As I have said before, I can't resist a PB Porter. This one has a toasted bread crust / roasty malty profile without any astringency. The chocolate provides mild sweetness to balance the malt body with the nutty flavors coming from the peanut butter. Very smooth beer. ShapeShifter: I asked the beertender what their favorite IPA was, and they chose this one for me and it didn't not disappoint. A Double Dry Hopped IPA popping with tropical fruit aroma. Each sip was refreshing notes of mango and citrus. A mild bitterness tapes the juicy hops. Uncommon Blonde: A staple from the brewery, this Blonde Ale is brilliantly clear with a lot of flavor for its lighter body. Low bitterness with some mild grain sweetness. Refreshing on the hot day. Hang Tang: A Kettle Sour infused with fruit punch. Reminds me a of a tart version of fruit punch Kool-aid. Some sweetness of tropical fruit with a mild tartness. Reminds me of childhood sipping on fruit punch on the patio.

After a long day of skiing at Trollhaugen, we headed over here for a beer to defrost and warm up. A non-pretentious, local brewery feel welcomed us at Uncommon Loon. Plenty of tables and couches available to suit your needs/party size. We cozied up to the bar and ordered the Cream Ale and the Tropical Sour. Both were great! We downed those and loved onto the Peanut Butter Porter and Nut Brown Ale. Delicious!! Service was super kind, responsive, and laid back! I wish we didn't live so far away so we could stop by more often!

Merch selection as well as multiple tastefully curated art exhibits.

Talk about great service and ambiance! The bartender was welcoming and quickly asked what suggestions she could make based on our likes. The selection was great, but not too broad. The ambiance was nice and even with the fall weather the garage doors were open and we were able to sit outside. Everything was clean and immaculate, there was even a healthy stack of clean coaster on every table. It was a great space for all parties (singles, families, couples and dogs). The ambiance was welcoming and many strangers were making new friends at the bar. The beer was tasty, the Blood Orange was clearly made "from scratch" and not from syrup. We stumbled upon this place from our Hop Passport, but spent our monies worth with crowlers to take home and merch. A nice touch as well we're the tastefully curated local artist exhibits. They even had a simple "leave a suggestion box" in the entry way.

Exceptional beer! I ordered the tropical sour and was blown away. Perfect fruitiness with that tinge of sour flavor that I've come to really love in the summer. When I visited, they had Center City Swine Circus serving up eats. Beer and BBQ... what's better? I got three ribs and potato salad. They were fall-off-the-bone tender. The chef knows what he's doing and is confident with his product! This place is dog-friendly indoors and out, with a spacious patio and event center. It's worth the drive!

A great brewery! We don't live by but my husband and I went on a date evening. We wanted to find some beers out this way and this place was awesome. The outside isn't your typical brewery as I think it used to be an old fire station. The inside is large so plenty of room to spread out. The beers we got were really good. We like light and sour beers. If you're passing through or wanting something different I would recommend uncommon loon. We even did a firepit class!

A great stop to grab a beer or hang out with friends if you're ever passing by Chisago City! They had some fun flavors and I happened to get the cream ale, and it was everything I expected it to be for a cream ale. Our group all got different shades of beer and I thought it was a funny coincidence, my cream ale is on the far left :) They also had a little fish art gallery which was my favorite part.

Stopped for a brew on my way home from a ski trip up north and uncommon look did not disappoint. I tried one of their IPAs and it was cold, crisp, and delicious. they had quite a big selection of beers and lots of seltzer flavors as well! The bartenders were nice and friendly. The vibes inside were decent, not too crowded and had some cool loon-y decor inside. If I were in chisago, it'd be on my list to stop by.

WE LOVE IT HERE. Home away from home with fantastic beer and service. They usually have about 15 beers on tap, including their most popular Shape Shifter IPA. Comfortable and spacious facility, indoor and out. There are multiple other rooms to host events, workouts, weddings etc. The owners are great and friendly. They are very passionate about their beer! They allow dogs inside and out.... GREAT! Bring your own food, or watch their Facebook page for a food truck. They are very active on social media and update their website often. Very family, kid and dog friendly, with non-alcoholic options, along with small snacks. There is a room in the back with many games and extra tables. All staff is diligently wearing masks during these times and will refuse anyone who won't wear one. (They have them there if needed). The bathrooms are always clean and you can see the servers waking around sanitizing, all day long. They promote local artists and photographers by showing and holding their work. Overall, fantastic place to be if you're in the area.

We picked up food at Deutschland Meats in Lindstrom. Came in just after noon and a Friday. No one there so felt safe from the virus. The bartenders were very nice and helpful. I had a flight of four that was very good. The Cream Ale, Wild Rice, and red were awesome. The stout was a little too hoppy but otherwise ok. Two of the owner/brewers spoke with us and I got a little tour. We also got some broasted chicken from next door so we spent more time and had another pint. It is a really cool building and fun adventure. Can't wait to go back.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon because I have Craftapped and we were on our way to a wedding at the Franconia Sculpture Garden. They had a panini food truck outside and there were crafts being sold due to the holiday weekend. I really liked the flagship hazy ipa. My man got another style ipa that I didn't care for. The panini place had the smallest panini I've ever seen. We say outside and the space was really nice. I would stop back if I was in the area!

This is a really cool brewery...the only thing is that I wish they had more beer options and wine or spirits for those that do not like beer. I get that it's a brewery but it would be nice if they expanded their options. They also have a room where they host yoga/workout classes!! And they sell cute shirts and have tons of games for guests to enjoy! Love this place for group gatherings!

This is absolutely by far one of the best breweries we have been to! I wish we lived closer. Very kid friendly, tons of board games to choose from to play if you wish. A great variety of beers-surely everyone can find something to enjoy! No food onsite but you can order food from nearby and bring it in!

Tunes to groove to.

We've been waiting for a decent brewery on the way northeast metro, yeah at 30 miles north it's a drive.... unless you live here like we so. Yeah no food, or food trucks, but its brewery. The 1st reviewer with 1 star and rated because of no food is a moron, sorry if I offended the moron community by adding her. The beer is good, not great. They just opened in mid December. Right now it's a malt lovers paradise, IPA up next week. Cool repurposed bar from The Dinnerbell in Lindstrom, MN. Very cool! Friendly staff! Been here for a half hour... still no food! Yummy pretzels! Very nice place! No food. Why would you ruin a good buzz with food! If you want food, try a restaurant, that would be a good bet.

This brewery never fails to be spectacularly fabulous!! Who I consider one of the Top Brewers in…read morethe state brews here. Sunken Ship is family owned and what a fantastically fun and kind family it is! Sunken Ship is a bit of a jaunt from the cities, but I assure you it is worth the drive and will not disappoint! I say "I love when a brewery has a Theme & run's w it." Sunken Ship was a former boat repair business so I assume that's how they gathered some of the decor: nets, boat lights, etc and the beer names are mostly nautical. It's a big, spacious tap room w a mix of standard & pub height tables. Fun selection of merch. They welcome your pooches and have plenty of space for them. Sunken Ship is a top notch destination brewery. They've had numerous medal winning beers since they opened a few years ago...go on.... stop In for a couple and chat up the friendly beertender/likely an owner. Thanks Sunken Ship for the always delicious beers and seltzers in a comfortably inviting space while I have a delightful conversation w a family member or two, cheers!
