Set out Saturday for a short Wisconsin brewery trek... Brickfield was my first stop of the day, my 363rd brewery visit. As I pulled up on a breezy overcast Saturday to a... spacious but full patio! I sat at one of the few inside tables to I could get a look at the tap list.... build a flight. My build was: Old Creamery Milk Stout, Right Time Rye Amber, Bourbon Barrel Big Bad Wolf & Barrel Aged Tripel. I did not like the Tripel!! There was heat on it!! That's not supposed to be there!! When I consulted a brewer friend, he said the beer wasn't done/ready so.....I'd steer clear of that one. When I was handed my flight.. whoa! What is the top of the flight paddle made of, slate?! It was heavier than expected! There was two spaces for merch... I perused the racks w a sign for $10 off clearance merch. I found a sleeveless black tee for $9. When I was ready to tab out, I brought my shirt to the counter, the employee stated my total was $30.00. I shockingly asked "that flight was $21?! She said she hadn't taken the $10 off for the shirt so my total was $20, so a more reasonable $11 for a four pour flight. Thanks Brickfield for a fun stop, Notice on the wall the chalk drawings of the brewing process. Several breweries have done this and I never tire of seeing it detailed out. I had come from having lunch in Osceola so I wasn't hungry, so I didn't peruse he menu but found it a cute offering that Brickfield has their own food truck! cheers!

Great beer, great food, great staff, and great atmosphere. They have a large variety of beers to select from which is why I love flights here. I had the Philly cheesesteak but my wife's mushroom and onion cheesesteak was better by far. The kids all loved their burgers. The fries and curds are good but the loaded beer cheese fries is the way to go. The kids also loved being able to play bags while we waited and listed to music. As for music, there is live music in the summer most Thursday's-Sunday's which enhances the already great experience.

After visiting the Sandhill cranes in Crex Meadows we were hungry and thirsty. We rolled into Grantsburg and headed straight to Brickfield Brewery. We both had a delicious home-made patty burger from the Brickfield food truck and each of us had our favorite beer (pale ale and kolsch) - both delicious. Highly recommend Brickfield.

This Brewery is amazing. They have a wonderful outdoor patio with fire pit to enjoy during nice weather. The inside is welcoming and very clean. They have a wide selection of beers on tap and to go as well as a seltzer on tap for those who are gluten intolerant. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel very welcome. If you're in the area make sure to stop in. We really enjoy their bluberry kolsch and their Blood Orange is a great one as well.

Stopped in on a blustery cold day while exploring Grantsburg. Saw the Brewery sign on the main road which of course magnetically pulled us towards Brickfield. You pull up to this old brick milk creamery building in the 1900s that's been revamped to a bright light of beer creamery. An upgrade perhaps! Lovely brewery with old artifacts of a creamery. Love the pics of its history hanging on the walls. There's even old bricks that were dug up available to see. Appreciate the brewmaster's respect of the local town's history. You're greeted with an open seating area with a view of the brew in giant vats on the left. Nice big bar with the taps set in the back. The selection is catered to everyone from IPA to smooth. There are beer flights available with generous pours. I love how they use local delights and incorporates it into the beer (aka: coffee cream ale- yum!!) , a true representation of local crafting. Love that! There's board games available while enjoying the brew as well as truly the best tasting pizza available for eats. Def try the pizza. Will definitely go back since the Pumpkin ale is in season.

We love Brickfield! They are extremely friendly and professional. They have a nice variety of beers! They have food vendors on the weekends. The building and patio area was tastefully redone. It's great to sit outside by the fire pit and watch the ducks and geese swim Memory lake. Bridget and Nikki are awesome!

Great beer and a wonderful atmosphere! Highly recommend checking it out and hanging on the patio..just like home

Small town vibes equals great customer service and great beers. Tons of options to go or flights of beer. won't break the bank either.

The first brewery.... fine, just fine, nothing great. The last brewery? Off the charts... fantastic!! Balsam Lake? Yikes..... I arrived to a full patio and quite the busy inside. Good omen, right? Once I began tasting through my flight... two words came to mind...not sure if they're correct or... but they were... Tourist Trap....? I built a flight of four, four styles I commonly order, so I'm familiar with them and they're preferred. My flight consisted of #3 Angler's Amber, #7 Stump Bay Stout, #17 Marges Doppleganger Doppelbock & #18 Haugen All The Honey. The Honey beer was delicious and was he only one I could stomach to want to finish. The Angler's Amber? WHAT is that, is that a Bitter Amber? That is NOT a style....for good reason! This beer I could only take three sips of... in disbelief that it was that bad! The stout and doppelbock....just not good. Three days later and I'm still at a loss for words to describe what my palate was dealing with? Being to nearly 400 breweries I wouldn't consider myself a slouch, nor definitely an expert but when three of four beers are unpalatable... it's not me... it's the beer. Such a disappointing experience. Getting the $16.00 tab for what I considered awful beer sure didn't help ease the unfulfilling feeling. Maybe I should have opted for the Boysenberry Blonde that I debated and a beertender said was her current go-to? This brewery is three years old so...maybe they're still working kinks out? New brewer? I may have to peruse untappd for other beer ratings but at this juncture I wouldn't go back, just bummed out by the experience as a whole.

I entered to a spacious tap room! Shortly after two people appeared; i assumed one was my beertender, the other, possibly a patron...maybe a regular? As we all started chatting....oh no, not just a patron, or regular. Owner! Co-owner/brewer Brett! Aces! My luck put me right in my wheelhouse, i enjoy chatting up owners and brewers! As we began chatting he asked if I'd been to Garphish? Uncommon Loon? I very much appreciated him sharing the craft beer community love, we all want everyone to succeed! We spent a lot of time talking beers styles and just brewing in general....a wealth of knowledge shared and discussed. I opted for a flight w the intent to drink through the tap list then.... decided this would have to be a two or three trip adventure. I was grateful that most the beers were lower ABV. The beer was as delicious as the conversation was enjoyable. I liked how spacious the tap room was, the large windows for natural light, the big parking lot and that you could see the brew house. Beertender Diane was lovely and too kind. She kept apologizing for it not being busier, to which I would say: no, this is exactly how I like it. She'd also apologize when she was working...ohh...stop. ha. I love the table tops!! Don't let the Isanti address scare you, it's really not that far of a drive from the burbs and even if it is... I assure you Thunder Brothers is worth the drive!! Delicious beer, just a delightful brewer and a the loveliest beertender. Don't skip Thunder Brothers, in fact, make sure you put it on your list to get out to. Cheers and thanks Thunder Brothers for such an enjoyable and memorable inaugural visit, cheers!

The signage is great & the property is fantastic. Staff are welcoming, energetic and plentiful. There are a variety of products available for purchase, such as soap made from the beer... pretty cool. Add in the very reasonable pricing. We had 2 pints and pretzel bites for $10 after our discount. So, the 3 stars come down to a brewery is only as good as its beer. While they do have some decent guest taps, the in-house brews are lacking. Finish on the summer wheat was like alka seltzer, and the porter was only a touch better. Worth a visit? Absolutely!
