Had a really great time with my friends camping at Wild Mountain Winery. It's a pretty small winery but the campgrounds are nice with solid tree coverage. Campsites were a bit close together for my liking and most seemed to only have half picnic tables which was a bit odd to me, but it was cool. Our neighbors were friendly enough. If you're feeling bougie they have a bunch of cute yurts situated along the winery you can rent. They also have clean restrooms and showers to use. There is a small coffee room with a couple keurigs to help yourself to and firewood for sale. The bar area has ample seating inside and out. Some of the patrons were maybe not oozing welcoming vibes for our mixed BIPOC/LGBTQ+ group but the bartenders and all staff we encountered were lovely. They have awesome wine slushies whicb you can mix flavors of berry or peach. There is also a gift shop to pick up some goodies on your way out. All in all I had a good time here, check it out for camping or just a drink if you're in the area.

Went camping near this winery and we couldn't be more pleased with the stop. Live music on the weekends- Russel Schidmt is a national treasure if you have a chance to hear him- the wine slushies are scrumptious, vibes are very homey and I always love supporting a a small family business. If you stop in for wine, try the white wine flight- solid options all round. All of the servers and staff were lovely and I can't recommend it enough

Our newly turned 6 year olds had a blast here! We came on a Thursday (less crowded) and bought the family 4 pack- great deal! We did the go carts, the jump, all the water slides and the favorite -alpine slides!! We spent a good four hours here,! Packed our lunches and had a great picnic. They have plenty of food (and drink options too)

Great wine in a peaceful environment. The hosts were very nice folk and eager to make our visit a great one!

I've seen some advertisements for this winery and finally decided to meet friends there on a Friday evening. The pleasant drive north brought us through the surrounding mix of hills, valleys and farms. We enjoyed the views and the casual warm atmosphere of the winery. We enjoyed the wine sampling, taking a stroll around the property and listening to the live band. A few people were staying in nice tents scattered in the vineyard which you are able to reserve. It was a very nice evening out with friends and friendly staff. I am looking forward to returning when we have a chance.

We had a Groupon here and stopped by with some friends. We enjoyed our little walk around the vineyard on our way to the tasting. We enjoyed our glass of wine and the cheese and crackers. On our way out, we selected a bottle of wine to take home. The whole experience was really fun. The fall colors in the area were also very nice.

Vineyards for the winery.

Tucked away deep in Chisago County is this small winery. There are a few buildings and an outdoor area for parties. The tasting is one building and bottles and gift shop in another. The road leading in is difficult to spot unless you see the sign. It is a simple two rutted dirt and grass road leading to an unpaved parking lot. I like the feeling this rural area provides. There is a nice selection of mostly fruity wines made from local ingredients and the staff is very nice. You get to sample six wines in a tasting. There is a menu of sorts explaining the wines which you'll have to depend on. This was a pleasant find after hiking in the State Park and I get to sample six chilled wines. I'll make a trip here again.

Three of us stopped in here during our Ladies Weekend after snowboarding (ie flailing down the bunny hill) at Wild Mountain. Although we came here in the winter when everything was dead and cold, we still had a lovely evening at Wild Mountain Winery. The snow-covered grounds and cozy tasting room were still a treat. The quaint tasting room and wine samples really warmed us up. And the value was great! We shared 16 wine tastings for just $15 total! There's free popcorn, dark chocolate is provided for the last red wine, and you can also purchase a meat and cheese board. They give you a laminated wine list and a dry-erase marker, so you can make notes during your tasting. There is an assortment of seating, a few board games, and a guitar to enjoy between sipping. I am no connoisseur of wine, so all I know is I like the whites better than the reds haha. They started dry to sweet, and I liked the ones that were middle-of-road. Some we loved, some we didn't like at all. There was also a barrel aged cider in there, and we actually bought a bottle of that to bring home!

Napa or Sonoma Valley-it's not. But I did enjoy our wine sampling experience here, Minnesota-style. We had a Groupon and invited our friends to come with us. After following the gps directions to the vineyard, we hiked up the "Let the Adventures Begin" trail from the parking lot to the wine tasting room. The staff at the WMW were wonderful: NOT haughty like Napa Valley wine snob staff. We sampled a lot of local wines and had cheese & crackers and a kiss of dark chocolate with our glasses of wine out in the patio area. We picked out a nice bottle of their rose wine to take home to enjoy!

We really enjoyed this family run winery. We did the couples tasting and thought it was a great deal. We also were as to sample two delicious hard ciders. The smoked cheese they served with crackers during the tasting was wonderful. They were helpful, answered all of our questions and the young man hosting our tasting was very friendly. We visited in the winter, but would like to return when it is warmer so we can explore vineyards. We bought a sweet white, hard cider and some cheese to take to our stay at a local bed and breakfast and all were great.

Great variety of wines. Live music and wood fired cooked pizza on weekends. Staff is top notch.

Their social media is also worth checking out because they host so many fun events like yoga, concerts, private events, and more. Such a peaceful atmosphere with great vibes all around. MN wine is no my favorite in general, but I really enjoyed the wine slushies on a hot day. Worth visiting to drink and eat and enjoy the scenery!! PS. I also witnessed a guest have a medical episode, and the staff were extremely attentive and caring in making sure the individual was recovering.

My sister and I got the dessert wine as we had just come from eating a large brunch and I absolutely loved it! Winehaven offers standard white and red wines but also does an excellent job with the specialty wine as well. The chocolate zom-bee was oh so good! As the description reads, "Chocolate Zom-Bee is a monstrous explosion of dark chocolate and deep grape wine flavors. This wine is sinfully delicious with decadent chocolate desserts as well as vanilla bean ice cream or fruit-based tarts and pies." Enjoy!!

In the main dining area, there is a stage for bands. We walked up to the bar which was full but found a spot to squeeze in. The wine tasting area had several wine servers behind the bar. We waited for quite some time before a wine server greeted us and asked us what we were interested in tasting. We asked what was offered as far as wine tastings as it appeared there were a couple of different wine tasting events taking place. She looked at us with confusion and asked what we were interested in tasting. We read about the cheese and wine pairing so we said we would do that. We asked about each of the wines and she put the wine & cheese sign with descriptions in front of us and asked what we wanted to do. She couldn't really explain the wine herself. Again, confused why she is asking that since it's 5 wines with a 5 cheese pairing, We said we will just go down the list. She brought us complimentary wine glasses and poured the first wine. She also handed us cheese on toothpicks we all had to figure out how to grab from her fingers. Perhaps a plate or napkin? We waited for about 15 minutes before she came back and she looked at us and said no one is helping you? We thought she would but I guess not. We proceeded down the list, jumbling the cheese on toothpicks, and waited for the next tasting but we were forgotten once again. It took a while but we made it through the tasting. I'm a red wine person but the red wines were sour in my opinion. I realize this is WI and not CA or France so obviously the wine is different. We did buy a couple of bottles of their Pony which is a Rose as well as the ale Crescent. We wanted to purchase a couple of the different cheese that we tasted but they didn't have any to purchase. The venue is beautiful and a great place for events. The wine servers definitely need training in how to service guests and learn about the wine. Also, no one wants to eat out of someone's hands. At least provide napkins they can hand the food to the wine taster with a napkin. .

We tried a few different flights of wine and flat breads and enjoyed the beautiful view of the vineyard. The place is truly breathtaking, and at the time, they had live music playing outside. Jenna made some very good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. ::Caution:: I still gave this place 5 stars because this has nothing to do with the service or the quality of the food or location, but we were picturing a nice, calm brunch, sipping on wine, not a Chuck E Cheese experience. Apparently, we were upgraded to the deluxe Chuck E Cheese package and were seated around lots of parents who decided to bring their young kids to a vineyard. The kids were running wild around tables and crying and screaming. Not one parent corrected their kids' behavior and just let them run around like free-range chickens. There were also people complaining that there were no non alcoholic drinks that they wanted at a vineyard. When I went inside there seemed to be no kids indoors. While another group could not control their kids and kept knocking things off the table, including glasses of wine. No one seemed to mind outdoors because most of the people had young kids, so be warned that this may be a possibility, so research your days before you go. Overall, if you remove the kids running wild and crying, the service was fantastic, the wine was good, lots of parking, the ambiance was incredible, and the food was good.

I believe he said the wine tasting menu is split between wine with grapes they purchased to make wine, wine from other wineries and wine they make from their own grapes. We thought we should try the wines from their property because what is the point of trying wine from someone else. They also have a frozen wine we saw a few people stop in to purchase and people appeared to love it. We should have tried it! The wine flight was served in a little box with small plastic cups and a small souvenir wine glass. I feel terrible saying this but the wine was just terrible. We could barely finish the thimble size tasting of each wine. Perhaps we should have tried the wines they brought in or the frozen wine. They said the winery is up for sale. I hope it is purchased by someone who is passionate about winemaking and can make some delicious wine with the grapes from the property.
