    Seasonal salad with maple vinaigrette

A wonderful place to enjoy a seasonal salad and lovely wine. This time I tried the sparkling wine, it went well with this salad. Great service, amazing view and great wine!

Rustic Roots was one of the stops during my friend's bachelorette party. It's a gorgeous winery with tasty wine. The food truck has so many great food options. Large outdoor area, easy to bring a group. Highly recommend!

Absolutely enjoyed this winery! It was beautiful. From the entrance alone, it was quite exquisite. I had a wine flight and it was awesome for the price! Also tried the flat breads (margarita, fig and prosciutto and the carnivore) all three were delicious (just a little smaller than expected! There was live music when we were there so it was so peaceful and relaxing! Pretty amazing service, lots of space to explore and it didn't feel crowded. Overall 10/10 experience :) sangria slushie was a favorite as well! Will definitely be back. View made me feel like I wasn't in Minnesota!

Scenic vineyards on the hill, nice wines and brews, lots of outdoor seating, a hiking path nearby, a rustic bistro for a bite during the weekday. During the weekday there isn't much for crowds, so relax and enjoy the atmosphere!

Just go! Gorgeous views, friendly staff, delicious wine and food...you can't go wrong. Mango slushy, triple root red, Grenache, and prosciutto fig pizza were all home runs.

I recently visited Rust Roots Winery and it was a lovely experience! The bar area is cozy and inviting. My husband and I had flatbread pizza, he ordered beer and I tried a few different wines and even brought some home. The bartenders where extremely knowledgeable about the wines and helped match my preferences perfectly! When I'm in the area again I'll definitely go back, have some food, and buy more wine!

This place was very fun; kind of spread out between the indoor bar, outdoor areas to order food, tables, and areas to play lawn games. Definitely a nice spot to hang out and enjoy a beautiful MN summer day. The wine slushy was amazing and the food was good too. It did close fairly early which was surprising and we were kindly asked along with everyone else still there to leave. That was somewhat off putting. They had board games available near the entry way so they definitely supported hanging out; just not after close.

Such a gorgeous winery! Every where you turn there's a building or a structure of some kind, a bar serving drinks outdoors, outdoor patio dining. There are food trucks and a restaurant to choose from with delicious burgers might I add, I had the Cajun burger and fries - it was awesome. Thank goodness I chowed down on that delicious burger seeing I consumed so much wine while I was there. I loved their wine - most Minnesota wines are very sweet and I felt these were the perfect balance. We had a great time there. I was celebrating my birthday and just brought a cake which didn't seem to be an issue at all which was great!

What a beautiful space, just north of Stillwater. The outdoor seating is expansive and you can wander the grounds (and vines) with a beautiful view of the river valley. Inside, you can grab a glass of your favorite wine or a tasting flight to try 5 of your own selections. If you've got a hunger bug, they have some small plates and flatbreads to satisfy that need. They also have wine slashes for the hot months. Grab a drink and a friend and enjoy a beautiful day at the vineyard.

Awesome music! Requested a little Jimmy Buffet and got MARGARITAVILLE!

It might be HOT in Minnesota (feels like 101) but very pleasant sitting under covered patio, enjoying wine, great music and friendship! Buy a bottle at the bar, sit back, let the sweat flow and enjoy this every Sunday event!

The atmosphere is super chill! The landscape is absolutely stunning driving up the hills with all the land and vineyards. Then you come up to this beautiful building, production site, tons of seating with food trucks and flowers everywhere and beautiful landscaping. Also tons of room for yard games. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with large and small tables and canopies and umbrellas. They even have music on the weekends which just enhances the already chill vibe. I have tried their white wine flight that I really enjoyed but my favorite was the wine slushies. Different flavors to choose from but my favorite was the frose and sangria! My kids loved the root beer floats and playing hide and seek in the vineyards and running around the huge property. There are also different food trucks that come depending on weekend/season but I personally love the brick oven pizzas from the winery itself! Still have a lot of wine to try but so far have been so impressed and shocked this is in Scandia, MN. Only 15 min away from Stillwater or Forest lake!

Awesome place. So beautiful and so many different areas to choose to sit. They have several areas to order food from as well as drinks. They have what looked like a permanent food truck or grill area as well as a menu from inside kitchen and also just snacks. They even had a kid selling hotdogs. They had a cute store and the wines I tried were good. There was a band there called "The Flannel Brothers" and we stuck around for a few songs and they were good. My only critique is the charcuterie tray. It's really not. It's a bag of trail mix, a box of rice crackers (I think) one cheese wedge and a marginal meat or salami but it was not good. You have to cut everything your self as it all comes in packages. Other than that, super awesome place. Definitely will go back!! Oh, and for all the non winos, they also have beer.

The parking lot is spacious, there is a small interior section of gifts, wine can be purchased (of course), visible vineyards plethora of both indoor and outdoor seating, clean interior, well kept bathrooms, friendly staff, etc. the list goes on and on. My sister and I got the dessert wine as we had just come from eating a large brunch and I absolutely loved it! Winehaven offers standard white and red wines but also does an excellent job with the specialty wine as well. The chocolate zom-bee was oh so good! As the description reads, "Chocolate Zom-Bee is a monstrous explosion of dark chocolate and deep grape wine flavors. This wine is sinfully delicious with decadent chocolate desserts as well as vanilla bean ice cream or fruit-based tarts and pies." Enjoy!!

We tried a few different flights of wine and flat breads and enjoyed the beautiful view of the vineyard. The place is truly breathtaking, and at the time, they had live music playing outside. Jenna made some very good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. ::Caution:: I still gave this place 5 stars because this has nothing to do with the service or the quality of the food or location, but we were picturing a nice, calm brunch, sipping on wine, not a Chuck E Cheese experience. Apparently, we were upgraded to the deluxe Chuck E Cheese package and were seated around lots of parents who decided to bring their young kids to a vineyard. The kids were running wild around tables and crying and screaming. Not one parent corrected their kids' behavior and just let them run around like free-range chickens. There were also people complaining that there were no non alcoholic drinks that they wanted at a vineyard. When I went inside there seemed to be no kids indoors. While another group could not control their kids and kept knocking things off the table, including glasses of wine. No one seemed to mind outdoors because most of the people had young kids, so be warned that this may be a possibility, so research your days before you go. Overall, if you remove the kids running wild and crying, the service was fantastic, the wine was good, lots of parking, the ambiance was incredible, and the food was good.

When we arrived the signs were a bit confusing as to where to go, we ended up pulling up to the house at the top of a hill but were given instructions to drive around the building past the bathrooms. When we got there there were carts to help us load and tote our stuff up to the camp site. There were multiple paths up to our site which was nice. The first night we decided to eat at the winery. We ordered a pizza, got a bottle of the sweet red wine and they had board games we could play as we waited for the pizza to cook. They wood fire Heggies pizza. We got a chicken Alfredo one which was really good, we ended up getting a second one. They had $10 wine slushies. Cath the bartender put us on to mixing the flavors. Both were really good and began our fav/go to drink for the weekend. Also Cath had great customer service and was there all weekend which was nice! She was great. We stayed at site 3 and it was a decent size, had a smaller 2 person bench/table, fire pit and was very well shaded. When it rained we didn't get too flooded out which was nice. The rest of the experience was mostly on us to make, during the day we took a walk and explored the vineyard. They had a few grapes growing, they also have yurts you can rent which is nice if you want to go full glamp. They were spacious and kind of had their own areas which in the vineyard. I will say there was a larger staying down by the yurts and we could hear them most of the night up in the woods where we were. Also live music at the tasting room/courtyard on Saturdays. They started around 12:30pm and went late into the evening. We could hear the music from our campsite which was nice. It rained that night so it started outside then they moved the music inside. Something to do though. They do have a coffee room that is open 24hrs which is nice. They sell snacks and stuff in there as well. Generally it was a good first experience/intro to camping despite it being a cold, rainy, summer weekend but I'd do it again.

In the main dining area, there is a stage for bands. We walked up to the bar which was full but found a spot to squeeze in. The wine tasting area had several wine servers behind the bar. We waited for quite some time before a wine server greeted us and asked us what we were interested in tasting. We asked what was offered as far as wine tastings as it appeared there were a couple of different wine tasting events taking place. She looked at us with confusion and asked what we were interested in tasting. We read about the cheese and wine pairing so we said we would do that. We asked about each of the wines and she put the wine & cheese sign with descriptions in front of us and asked what we wanted to do. She couldn't really explain the wine herself. Again, confused why she is asking that since it's 5 wines with a 5 cheese pairing, We said we will just go down the list. She brought us complimentary wine glasses and poured the first wine. She also handed us cheese on toothpicks we all had to figure out how to grab from her fingers. Perhaps a plate or napkin? We waited for about 15 minutes before she came back and she looked at us and said no one is helping you? We thought she would but I guess not. We proceeded down the list, jumbling the cheese on toothpicks, and waited for the next tasting but we were forgotten once again. It took a while but we made it through the tasting. I'm a red wine person but the red wines were sour in my opinion. I realize this is WI and not CA or France so obviously the wine is different. We did buy a couple of bottles of their Pony which is a Rose as well as the ale Crescent. We wanted to purchase a couple of the different cheese that we tasted but they didn't have any to purchase. The venue is beautiful and a great place for events. The wine servers definitely need training in how to service guests and learn about the wine. Also, no one wants to eat out of someone's hands. At least provide napkins they can hand the food to the wine taster with a napkin. .
