Ample parking and and beautiful patios First time here with my parents. It's a beautiful location for a Saturday or Sunday chill day to taste wine abs have charcuterie with friends or family. The staff are really nice. Great selection of wine gifts and local soaps and honey. If I lived here I would come here more often. My parents come here frequently with friends for wine and socializing.

I am amazed that we have this beautiful winery hidden in Chisago. This 50 acre estate is located between three lakes with a stunning property! I am obsessed with there wine delicious and unique wine slushies in the summer (can get in a flight) and their super large menu of both whites, reds and dessert wine varying in sweetness. They also have frozen grape dessert wine that is so unique and flavorful! The space is so cute with a beautiful castle looking building, outdoor seating overlooking the vineyards and a lake, and lots of indoor seating. They also host a lot of weddings and have some weekends with live music, pop up shops, food trucks and even horse drawn carriage rides! Parking is super easy and the service has always been amazing. I always get the same taster everytime and he is so nice and always helps me through my options.

We went to this winery for a stop on a bachelorette party. There were plenty of open tables and chairs and definitely enough space for large groups, although they told us they would have preferred us to have a reservation (which was a little off putting). We each ordered a flight of wine that were pretty cool looking and gave us a variety of flavors. We ordered 2 charcuterie boards but one of them showed up 30 mins later than the other one. Overall, would go back for the scenery and the wine, but the service was not the best in my opinion.

What a fun place to visit! I knew I liked winehaven wine based on what I have bought from liquor stores, but going here gives you more options to try. The staff here were helpful when we first arrived. They gave us recommendations on what kind of wines to try. We ended up picking the fall flight which had a pumpkin wine , cinnamon mead, chocolate red wine, and cranberry wine. They all had great flavor, and I would definitely recommend trying this flight! Also, it was a beautiful sunny day when we went, and the outside patio was gorgeous. This winery was everything, and I can't wait to go back :)

Their Chisago wine and they are a rhubarb wine and rhubarb slush are excellent. Even their Rosé is good. These were my favorites. Oh and and the strawberry rhubarb cupcake was very light and very tasty. The rhubarb summer frenzie includes vendors and two food trucks with excellent brisket. Must be 21 to drink :-)

Favorite place to go when we don't want to waste the weekend...or to take a gal pal for a birthday! Wine slushies are the must binge here, but wine samplings and flights need to be on your bucket list if you are new. Deer garden red is the bottle that always goes home with us. Staff are so great! I've also seen this brand sold at Trader Joes in the Twin Cities. That made me insta happy!

Busy place during covid. SoCial distancing enforced. Preferred the red wine over their whites. Winery set up Not as personal or private as I would like, reminds me more of a commercial manufacturer. When you drive up to the location you're greeted immediately by the crowds in the front yard which makes it esthetically unpleasant to the eye. We got our wine and sat down in the front yard overlooking the busy road instead of their vineyards like other places that I've been to. Turned me off a bit. A busy place to attend in this neck of the woods. Oh! Check in on Yelp for a 50% of wine tasting. Apparently when I brought it up they were forced to honor it. Yayy!

Great service and wine! Such a large space inside and out. They allow dogs on the patio, which is great! The customer service is very friendly and helpful, especially if you've never been before. They have beer for those who don't drink wine and food/snacks if you're hungry! They often host events and weddings which seem to be busy and we'll organized. Beautiful, clean and well taken care of! We love it here.

Perfect experience every time. The staff is very friendly. Excellent wine choices here. Likely, the best winery we have had the privilege of finding in the area. We will definitely make sure we get to visit here again. We bought bottles to go after the flights we experienced and then , we went back for more bottles.

    Gorgeous patio overlooking the vineyards.

This is a great place with lots of different events. Winehaven is beautifully located by a couple of small lakes. They host weddings and events, in fact, I have planned to have my wedding here. The wine is really good! It is now the only wine I ever want to drink. Joining the wine club is a great deal too - you get a free tasting for two!

MN wine is no my favorite in general, but I really enjoyed the wine slushies on a hot day. Worth visiting to drink and eat and enjoy the scenery!! PS. I also witnessed a guest have a medical episode, and the staff were extremely attentive and caring in making sure the individual was recovering.

In the main dining area, there is a stage for bands. We walked up to the bar which was full but found a spot to squeeze in. The wine tasting area had several wine servers behind the bar. We waited for quite some time before a wine server greeted us and asked us what we were interested in tasting. We asked what was offered as far as wine tastings as it appeared there were a couple of different wine tasting events taking place. She looked at us with confusion and asked what we were interested in tasting. We read about the cheese and wine pairing so we said we would do that. We asked about each of the wines and she put the wine & cheese sign with descriptions in front of us and asked what we wanted to do. She couldn't really explain the wine herself. Again, confused why she is asking that since it's 5 wines with a 5 cheese pairing, We said we will just go down the list. She brought us complimentary wine glasses and poured the first wine. She also handed us cheese on toothpicks we all had to figure out how to grab from her fingers. Perhaps a plate or napkin? We waited for about 15 minutes before she came back and she looked at us and said no one is helping you? We thought she would but I guess not. We proceeded down the list, jumbling the cheese on toothpicks, and waited for the next tasting but we were forgotten once again. It took a while but we made it through the tasting. I'm a red wine person but the red wines were sour in my opinion. I realize this is WI and not CA or France so obviously the wine is different. We did buy a couple of bottles of their Pony which is a Rose as well as the ale Crescent. We wanted to purchase a couple of the different cheese that we tasted but they didn't have any to purchase. The venue is beautiful and a great place for events. The wine servers definitely need training in how to service guests and learn about the wine. Also, no one wants to eat out of someone's hands. At least provide napkins they can hand the food to the wine taster with a napkin. .

My brother and I decided to hit up all the places listed on the East Central Craft Beverage Trail so we could take notes for places to recommend at our family VRBO up there. We both tend to favor gourmet foodies and foreign red wine; but also really enjoy most of the local breweries and distilleries popping up in MN. We opted for 2 flights of the 6 samples for $6.50 (nice price!!) and compared notes with each other. While we both tend to not really go for white wines, the winner for us ended up being none other than Painted Lady, which was very much a white wine. The wines were better than some of the MN wineries that I've had (keep in mind, I have been a foreign red wine only kind of gal for years- so that is a high bar to meet!). There were a few that were a bit too sweet/syrupy but over all, I was pleased with the tasting and would even consider ordering a few by the glass. Random tidbit- they allow you to snow shoe or cross country ski by the vineyard if you'd like!

When we arrived the signs were a bit confusing as to where to go, we ended up pulling up to the house at the top of a hill but were given instructions to drive around the building past the bathrooms. When we got there there were carts to help us load and tote our stuff up to the camp site. There were multiple paths up to our site which was nice. The first night we decided to eat at the winery. We ordered a pizza, got a bottle of the sweet red wine and they had board games we could play as we waited for the pizza to cook. They wood fire Heggies pizza. We got a chicken Alfredo one which was really good, we ended up getting a second one. They had $10 wine slushies. Cath the bartender put us on to mixing the flavors. Both were really good and began our fav/go to drink for the weekend. Also Cath had great customer service and was there all weekend which was nice! She was great. We stayed at site 3 and it was a decent size, had a smaller 2 person bench/table, fire pit and was very well shaded. When it rained we didn't get too flooded out which was nice. The rest of the experience was mostly on us to make, during the day we took a walk and explored the vineyard. They had a few grapes growing, they also have yurts you can rent which is nice if you want to go full glamp. They were spacious and kind of had their own areas which in the vineyard. I will say there was a larger staying down by the yurts and we could hear them most of the night up in the woods where we were. Also live music at the tasting room/courtyard on Saturdays. They started around 12:30pm and went late into the evening. We could hear the music from our campsite which was nice. It rained that night so it started outside then they moved the music inside. Something to do though. They do have a coffee room that is open 24hrs which is nice. They sell snacks and stuff in there as well. Generally it was a good first experience/intro to camping despite it being a cold, rainy, summer weekend but I'd do it again.
