Had a great time enjoying the wine tasting package with my husband. Friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable wine options. Beautiful quiet setting.

When we arrived the signs were a bit confusing as to where to go, we ended up pulling up to the house at the top of a hill but were given instructions to drive around the building past the bathrooms. When we got there there were carts to help us load and tote our stuff up to the camp site. There were multiple paths up to our site which was nice. The first night we decided to eat at the winery. We ordered a pizza, got a bottle of the sweet red wine and they had board games we could play as we waited for the pizza to cook. They wood fire Heggies pizza. We got a chicken Alfredo one which was really good, we ended up getting a second one. They had $10 wine slushies. Cath the bartender put us on to mixing the flavors. Both were really good and began our fav/go to drink for the weekend. Also Cath had great customer service and was there all weekend which was nice! She was great. We stayed at site 3 and it was a decent size, had a smaller 2 person bench/table, fire pit and was very well shaded. When it rained we didn't get too flooded out which was nice. The rest of the experience was mostly on us to make, during the day we took a walk and explored the vineyard. They had a few grapes growing, they also have yurts you can rent which is nice if you want to go full glamp. They were spacious and kind of had their own areas which in the vineyard. I will say there was a larger staying down by the yurts and we could hear them most of the night up in the woods where we were. Also live music at the tasting room/courtyard on Saturdays. They started around 12:30pm and went late into the evening. We could hear the music from our campsite which was nice. It rained that night so it started outside then they moved the music inside. Something to do though. They do have a coffee room that is open 24hrs which is nice. They sell snacks and stuff in there as well. Generally it was a good first experience/intro to camping despite it being a cold, rainy, summer weekend but I'd do it again.

We stopped in at Bunnycup Winery for wine tasting while visiting friends in WI…read more This cute winery is set up with a tasting room, outdoor patio with a stage and event space on the property. When we arrived we headed straight to the tasting room. The staff were friendly and attentive. We decided on flights and they were served in proper tasting glasses on a board with oyster crackers. We headed out to the patio where there were several tables set up to enjoy the outdoor space. It was crowded! The yard had tents and trucks set up with activities and games for the kids as well as items for sale from different vendors. The reds were actually pretty good. I didn't know what to expect from grapes grown in WI but we had a good experience. We enjoyed music from the band and hung out in a nice relaxing atmosphere. We were checked on by the staff several times and were never left waiting for service. We enjoyed our time at Bunnycup Winery and will visit again.

Bunny Cup Winery: Where the Wine Is Legit and the Vibe Doesn't Suck…read more Looking for your next destination or the perfect pit stop before bolting from the Twin Cities? Look no further--Bunny Cup Winery is your move. Just 20 minutes from Taylors Falls, MN (or St. Croix Falls, WI if you swing that way), Bunny Cup sits in the heart of Wisconsin cabin country--Luck, WI, right by Balsam Lake. Owned and operated by a down-to-earth couple from Woodbury, MN, this place is pouring up small-batch wines that are bold, fun, and not trying to be Napa. And thank God for that. You won't find any of that overpriced "barely flavored vinegar water" here--nope. Just real-deal, full-flavor wines that you'll actually want to drink again. Their motto? "Seriously Unfussy." Their energy? Spot on. Bring the kids. Bring your dog. Bring your weird uncle. No one's judging. Add in food trucks like Drool-Worthy Creations (yes, that's us) and live music from local legends, and you've got the kind of afternoon that makes summer feel like it used to. New destination? Maybe. Unexpected tradition in the making? Absolutely. Make the drive. Make a memory. See you this weekend.

The vineyard landscape is BEAUTIFUL and makes for the perfect relaxing night or afternoon. The refreshing white wine pictured was delicious and perfect for a warm day outside. The flatbread was exactly what you'd expect for a light winery snack, but super reasonably priced which I appreciate! Definitely bring a DD so you can take advantage of their awesome bottle pricing instead of just ordering by the glass! Their social media is also worth checking out because they host so many fun events like yoga, concerts, private events, and more. Such a peaceful atmosphere with great vibes all around. Can't wait to come back!

MN wine is no my favorite in general, but I really enjoyed the wine slushies on a hot day. Worth visiting to drink and eat and enjoy the scenery!! PS. I also witnessed a guest have a medical episode, and the staff were extremely attentive and caring in making sure the individual was recovering.

We ventured here on Mother's Day with no expectations and were pleased to enjoy so many components here. The parking lot is spacious, there is a small interior section of gifts, wine can be purchased (of course), visible vineyards plethora of both indoor and outdoor seating, clean interior, well kept bathrooms, friendly staff, etc. the list goes on and on. My sister and I got the dessert wine as we had just come from eating a large brunch and I absolutely loved it! Winehaven offers standard white and red wines but also does an excellent job with the specialty wine as well. The chocolate zom-bee was oh so good! As the description reads, "Chocolate Zom-Bee is a monstrous explosion of dark chocolate and deep grape wine flavors. This wine is sinfully delicious with decadent chocolate desserts as well as vanilla bean ice cream or fruit-based tarts and pies." Enjoy!!

Now facing north we saw the sign for the Ann River Winery. We stopped into the tasting room and found a happy crowd of folks there and a very friendly and helpful lady, who turned out to be the owner. It was "Cheesecake Sunday" so of course we had to try the cheesecake with our flights of wine. Very good cheesecake with the topping of our choice! They had a large selection of wines and we ended up buying a couple bottles as well as some merchandise. We had a very fun experience and loved hearing the story about origins of the winery. I highly recommend this winery!

My brother and I decided to hit up all the places listed on the East Central Craft Beverage Trail so we could take notes for places to recommend at our family VRBO up there. We both tend to favor gourmet foodies and foreign red wine; but also really enjoy most of the local breweries and distilleries popping up in MN. We opted for 2 flights of the 6 samples for $6.50 (nice price!!) and compared notes with each other. While we both tend to not really go for white wines, the winner for us ended up being none other than Painted Lady, which was very much a white wine. The wines were better than some of the MN wineries that I've had (keep in mind, I have been a foreign red wine only kind of gal for years- so that is a high bar to meet!). There were a few that were a bit too sweet/syrupy but over all, I was pleased with the tasting and would even consider ordering a few by the glass. Random tidbit- they allow you to snow shoe or cross country ski by the vineyard if you'd like!

When we arrived the place looked closed and we weren't sure what to make of it. When we came into the space it was very dark and it remained dark the entire time we were there which I thought was odd. But the winery is powered by solar panels which I thought was cool! But I swear it must've been 50 degrees inside the building because half of us were freezing. It also looked like a lot of the decorations were incredibly old and outdated and hadn't been dusted in a long time. The woman that helped to service us was very nice and personable and I thought we had a good time talking to her and her husband. They told us a lot about the winery and how the community helps to keep it running. I've never been to such a small winery like this one so it was nice to hear how they keep it running! The wine: the reason why im not giving this a lower star rating is because of how good the wines and prices were. For less than ten dollars you can sample 5 wines and they let us pair up and share tastings so we could try them all! I loved each wine and they all tasted unlike any other wines I've ever tasted. Very fruity and fragrant and delicious. :) Overall I think if the owners added more lights and cleaned up the decorations this place could easily jump from a 3 to a 4!
