We recently attended the distillery's open house tasting event…read more What a great day filled with tastings, music, food and fun. First of all, the distillery is huge. There are many seating areas indoors and out. A nice bar area as well as lounge type seating areas indoors and a small gift shop. Outside there were various vendor booths and food trucks. Lots of various options. The main event was in the back of the distillery. Unfortunately the weather turned so they moved the musicians and seating indoors so that did make it a bit crowded inside. For the tasting, we purchased a 3 taste card for $10. We were provided with a small tasting glass to take home as well. There were several tasting options from vodka to gin to bourbon and sweet options. After tasting a few options, we purchased the Lakeside premix old fashioned. Delicious! I'm not an old fashioned consumer but I liked it. We also purchased an Apple Pie Liquor which I believe they are launching was tasty. For food, we only ordered a pretzel which was served warm with mustards. It was good. The music was fun to listen and watch everyone dancing and enjoying themselves. We did order drinks from the bar in the forward section of the distillery. It is an indoor/outdoor bar. In addition to cocktails and beer, they serve pizza and pretzels. Limited food but we will have to stop in again and try the pizza. A great place to check out.

Sad to see this place go, but I think its location was confusing to some and hidden. However, I found the area quite charming! The patio was blocked from the wind by the train tracks on the hill and large warehouse building. Hoping they continue to sell their liquors in stores, I've never had a bad drink with Tattersall in it, here or elsewhere! I'm not sure if they intend to reopen one day in a smaller building, but their cocktails were all unique and balanced. Took photos of the menu to document the blends! Their old fashioned and the houndstooth were especially good. Always cheerful service. They are set to close Nov 30th 2024

Copperwing Distillery is a fantastic place to visit. Its obscure location in a St. Louis Park…read morewarehouse neighborhood adds to its allure. Copperwing is a working distillery, and the bar is not embellished to whisk you away from that environment. I like that. Copperwing has a place of its own amongst the thousands of drinking holes in the Twin Cities. You're imbibing in a distillery, but at a bar with a mixology and a bites menu. The cocktail list is interesting, and what I drank was delicious. I also drank shots of some of the different booze Copperwing produced. (It was a lot of liquor. The next two days were rough, and stupidly, we went to another distillery afterwards. I will never learn, and I'm 75 years old.) Liquor is like wine. We all have different tastes and palates. I liked one of Copperwing's vodkas, but not the other. Several of their offerings have won national awards. That's something everyone in Minneapolis can be proud of. Jack was our bartender, and he was gracious and accommodating. I will return to Copperwing Distillery soon, but will drink with more wisdom, sticking to one kind of booze and will drink lots of water.

The Maple Grove Mule was the quintessential fall drink with apple cider, maple syrup, lemon juice, and ginger beer. While the Black Widow was a fruity and bright option for the 75 degree fall day. It had some of my fav flavors, blackberry, pomegranate, and lemon. I would get either again and again and easily try anything else on their menu! Since I don't drink alcohol, I opted for one of their zero-proof cocktails, the St. Agrestis Phony Negroni. It had a subtle hint of pineapple, but the drink itself was a bit too strong for my taste. We also tried their new Irish Spice Bag, but unfortunately it wasn't a favorite. The dish was a little bland, and the curry sauce could have used more seasoning. Overall, this place just wasn't the right fit for my personal tastes, but I can definitely see it appealing to those who appreciate sophisticated cocktails and an upscale, stylish atmosphere.

We sat inside in a cozy corner but will return for the patio with the fire pit. Nice selections of food and cocktails. Whisky focused obviously and the server offered some great recommendations including a seasonal whisky slushie that was just what I wanted. Non alcoholic choices were available as well. Prices are on par for the city and 2026. A great place to bring groups of 4-6 with most seating areas suited for that size. It's decorated so classy and almost in a sultry but modern way. The venue is huge and it can be used for other events as there was a wedding upstairs going when I was there. Definitely a place I will return too soon!

The space is big and they have live music on the weekends. We sat at the bar and grabbed a Mexican old fashioned and a Shut up and Take my money. Both were delicious! Not overpowering and nicely blended. I grabbed a tequila honey bee as well which was nice but not as good as the first two drinks. We also tried their Thai chili pepper vodka in a one night in Bangkok. I was worried it would be too spicy based on some other spicy liquors I've tried but it was the perfect amount of heat and blended nicely in the drink. It would make an excellent Bloody Mary! Service was top notch. You order in a QR code but we sat at the bar and had fun talking with Lauren and Christine. They were so helpful and outgoing and it was a nice way to end the night.
