UGH. So I was looking for Famous Footwear which is listed online as being at this mall but when I got there, it was not. Most of the stores are closed/empty. The ones that are left remind me of being in a swap meet - Very poor quality clothes and shoes. There are a lot of weird things going on, like the Irving Police Department has an office at this mall in a storefront, and a shady marketing "research" company has a storefront here as well instead of a regular office in a regular office building. The food court has very few choices - I didn't stick aroun to check them all out but there was some kind of a bakery (? in a mall?), a chicken place with no sign telling you what it is called, a Chinese place, Subway, and of course a hot-dog-in-a-pretzel cart, Auntie something with the blue logo that's in every mall. If you're in a pinch, this mall would do. This mall have the basic stores that an average mall would have - macy's, dilliard's, victoria's secret, etc. But it's definitely a mall that you wouldn't want to linger in. The mall is a bit dark, and has a disorganized layout. Clothing racks were all over the place in Dilliard's. The bathrooms too are mostly out-of-order and have broken faucets. So better bring baby wipes. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Many of the stores there are very nice, with great people, but the downfall is the lack of security and the way the management conducts their business. My wife and I have been there several time and have seen terrible things. Gang members brandishing weapons, many fights, people attacking kids working in the stores. We actually got into the middle of a gang fight outside the Baby Footlocker where 2 gang bangers had guns stuffed in their belts. The security was told and all they did was to notify the local PD after several of us had already called! This place is definitely not safe for family, especially the kiddos and my wife and I have refused to return! read more

The mall overall I would give 4 **** as it's got great deals at a lot of stores. However, this review is for Image. First of all, I bought three dresses for my girlfriend and after literally one wash, all of them were destroyed. Literally, sure, the dresses were cheap, but not cheap enough for a one-time wear. I spoke with the manager, who I don't know her name, and she accused me of lying and refused to even hear me out let alone give me a refund. We were in a crunch and ended up buying clothes for a few stores but this is the ONLY store we had a problem with. There are plenty of great competitors in this mall that i can bring my money to. This place is terrifying. It's so dark and creepy. It's run down and literally smells like poop. I'm not joking. It smells like actual poop. I've never heard of 3/4 of the stores in this mall. It's almost as if you're walking into a mall that somehow is still open in a post apocalyptic world. I just had my very first and very last visit to this mall which is unfortunate because I just moved right across the street and I thought it was going to be so convenient living right next to a mall. read more

Wow....did this place suck. Very light foot traffic, poorly lit, smelled of trash. Kiosk workers are rude. In-store employees are non-engaging, even if you greet them as you walk in the store. Food court is non-existent, parking lot looked like a bombing range. This is definitely a dying mall. Move along...nothing to see here. read more

I really enjoy the AMC here. But everything else needs some serious TLC and better customer service. The readon why i cant give this more stars is because of the recent bad experience I had at Shoppers World. They have alot of great products but the customer service at this location is terrible. I had to walk around the store 15 minutes to actually find help and my checkout experience was the worse. The guy that checked me out was rude and even said he liked being annoying. I said i didnt want alot of change so he gave me 30 cents in pennies as my cent change. So terrible customer service. Its sad that I've never felt the need to write a review until I went here. I love this place, i have no idea why it has such few stars. Its not the biggest mall around, but it has everything. The free play area for kids is perfect for toddlers. They have a few arcade games, ping pong, a sitting area and large play blocks. This mall even has a dollar make up store!!! Its the only place ive been buying my make up. read more

I have lived in Irving since before the mall was built. I have seen it at it's best and now I can say I have seen it at it's worse. We lost Mervyns and JC Penneys.Now Old Navy and I have heard that Macy's is next. I don't understand. Whew! One word; GH3Tt0, very ghetto. This mall is the model of what a failing mall looks like. The past 10 years of this malls department stores have been shocking to say the least. In my opinion the only somewhat decent store the is Barnes and Noble. On any given night you'll usually find an array of sketchy characters standing outside, not to mention all the youngin's walking around causing trouble. You can't even walk down the hall with one of the shop owners trapping you to sell their product. Just not a very pleasant place to shop. If I lived right next door, I might think about stopping by to grab something that I needed. And after thinking about it I might get in my car and drive somewhere else. From the outside, the building looks good from certain angles, but really depressing and run down from some others. As you wind your way through the mall, the large empty storefronts and the lack of shoppers is depressing, and a sign that you should be elsewhere. read more

The only good thing about this mall is Zales, Victoria secret, Macy's and Dillard's Clearance. They have every sneaker store you can imagine so my husband will tolerate a trip there. The Dillard's clearance is massive and packed with deals. Everything else in the mall reminds me of a flee market. Terrible. read more

Ok, so this is not the best mall in the metroplex. And like many people pointed out, it does need work. However, I really do like the Burlington and Dillard's in this location. You can get some amazing deals in both of these places. In addition, my gym (Fitness Connecion) is in this mall and I've never had a complaint. It's pretty neat that you can window shop a bit after a workout :) All in all, if you know exactly what you are looking for and at a good price, this is a descent mall read more

This is one of the worst malls I have been to. It was old, the air conditioning was set so it was cooler than outside (100degrees) but not cool enough to be comfortable. There were several empty spaces(the Dillards was closed, no Barnes and Noble like another reviewer said, and several other empty spaces) and it just seemed blah. Normally, I'd give a mall like this one star and a scathing review... but... for being a 46 year old mall in what is a pretty run down area of Irving, TX this mall could be plenty worse. This mall has all of its major anchor spaces filled (Macy's, Dillard's Clearance Center, Burlington, Sears). There are some odd tenants... La Vida (a large dress store that used to be a Mervyn's), Las Lomas Banquet Halls (lower level of former Mervyn's), a two story Fitness Connection gym, a large AMC 14 theater, a Sky Zone Trampoline Park, and something that looked like a nicer version of Family Dollar called "Shopper's World" which is a large store that took the spaces vacated by Old Navy and Barnes & Noble, and then several local and and national retail spaces. Among names most consumers would be familiar with: Aeropostale, Rue 21, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic, Children's Place, Express (Outlet), Foot Locker, Foot Action, Finish Line, kids Foot Locker, and Champs... so athletic shoes are covered... but there are even more shoes... Shoe Palace, Journeys, Journeys Kids, Underground by Journeys, Rack Room, and Payless. "Fine" jewelry: Zales, Helzberg, and Kay are all present... and on the junk jewelry end there's Claire's and the Icing. The food court could use some work... things most people have heard of: Subway, Manchu Wok, and Auntie Annie's Pretzels... and the rest is stuff most have never heard of and it's local. I think there's a taqueria or two, and because it's Texas and the immediate area around the mall has a large Mexican population, they're probably pretty good. Most of the chain stores are old and look like they've not been remodeled in at least a decade, in some cases it feels like you fell into a time warp to 1997... the example being the Express Factory Outlet, which is a former Structure store that still has the Corinthian column motif going on (it sells both Express Men and the Express women's line). That aside, the stores are all filled with product, the American Eagle store looks larger than most I've seen, and the same is true for the Aeropostale here. Because the mall technically doesn't have low occupancy, and does have major chain stores, and offers some unique services (gym, trampoline park, megaplex movie theater), and meets the local needs of its customer base with local businesses, I'm giving it a 4 stars. I've seen shopping malls in way more affluent areas that wouldn't be hurt by taking Irving Mall's unique ideas behind keeping the spaces in the mall full and offering the local community the goods and services it wants. I will agree with some other reviewers though that some updating both inside and out wouldn't hurt this place. The carpet that runs throughout most of the mall is kind of nasty, and the food court has cheap looking linoleum floor tiles. The exterior of the building has some large settling cracks where the foundation below likely needs repair. While this mall wouldn't be my personal first choice, I can understand why the local neighborhood likes it and relies on it, so "Good job" to Irving Mall's owners and management for using some ingenuity to find innovative ways to offer goods, services, and experiences. read more

It is a strange and quiet mall, some of it has carpet. It is not really for the latest trendy things, it is more discount focused. I love the Dillards Clearance Center, just make sure you have a couple hours to wait in the crazy dressing room lines. read more

This mall used to be decent, but now it's just a gang-ridden dump. They put carpet in the mall a few years back. It's like putting lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig... The stores are crappy and unrecognizable for the most part. Avoid at all costs. Go to the Galleria or Northpark instead. read more
