It is hard to rate Town East Mall when there are so many great franchises that reside in this establishment. The reason for the low rating is that the management does not value the money the franchises are giving them by using some of the money to keep up the grounds which includes security and managing the restrooms. Is there security, yes. Are they helpful, no. They either stand up as a group and chat or sit in their vehicle rather than patrolling the grounds and deterring bad behavior. Moreover, the restrooms are out of order, with no regular maintenance to ensure they stay clean and well stocked. (See pictures of how the men's restroom looked for the week of Black Friday and how much worse it got by the Christmas holidays.) I feel the store options in this mall is top quality, yet the management needs to pay more attention to keeping the grounds up which includes expectations for the security staff they hire. Do more for the people, Town East Mall management team? We deserve for our community similar events that North Park Mall and the Galleria offer their guests. read more

Town East Mall - Me standing on the second level. - Shopping Centers Near Me - Mesquite, Texas

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Windsor location, went in the middle of the day around 1pm on a weekday. I had two girls with me only one was dress shopping and there were maybe 2-3 other customers in the store. The dress we wanted only had one size left on the floor, a small which was a little tight and short for our liking. There was one other dress left in the store on the mannequin in a medium that we wanted to try on. The girl in the dressing room went to ask someone else if we could get the dress of the mannequin to which we were initially told no. The dress was final sale so obviously we would like to try on the other size before spending $60. The girl at the register was refusing to help us get the dress off the mannequin saying she "didn't have time." She suggested we could come back another time when she would have time to help us, we had a 45 min drive to this location. I asked for the manager, she then replied she was the manager. I asked for a number to call to complain about her customer service to which she refused to provide a number and also stated they "aren't allowed to tell customers their names." So to the 'manager' at the register with the food in her braces I don't appreciate your unwillingness to help a teenager find a well-fitting dress in her size for homecoming. At this point she started to get frustrated with me asking for a number to complain so she decided to go forcefully remove the dress off the mannequin for my daughter to try on. It took her about two minutes of throwing parts of the mannequin around and talking about me to the one other employee in the store to get the dress. The dress fit nicely, and we did purchase the dress before leaving. I will not return to this location, Frisco or Allen would be a much better choice for those looking for actual customer service. I am only giving two stars because the girl in the fitting room was nice and doesn't deserve to be led by such a terrible and unwilling 'manager.' read more

I hadn't been to the mall in several years and expected it to be in the process of dying out but was pleasantly surprised at the number of shops open and the updates to some of my faves (like Spencer's). It still has that familiar smell and I will be back with my 1 year old for her first mall experience soon. The only thing I found that needed work was the flooring tile and carpet in the department stores and broken escalators in Macy's. read more

Not sure why there's so many bad reviews this place is amazing. One of the few malls left with real life in it!

I love love love Town East Mall's Dillard's. My go to shoe store for most of my heels. Antonio Melani is my go to brand, and now A Love is slowly becoming a favorite. All of the sales associates are always overly attentive from the shoe department, fragrance and beauty, intimates and women's sections. My go-to associates are both Mrs. Pat's. One is in the shoe department, the other is in women's directly across from the shoe department. Considering how often I frequent this location I know its a location worth the value! read more

This is the OG mall. I've been coming here since the 70s when they had the hill you could roll down. Stores have come and gone but Town East doesn't disappoint. It's nice they still have a Penneys. Now it's time to experience this place through my teenagers eyes. They definitely have stores that she loves. read more

Horrible service, me and friend walked in and was immediately followed because we are black. Town East Mall - Wave Sold me a blood infested dress! - Shopping Centers Near Me - Mesquite, Texas

It's a old mall . Very out dated and it's not very safe. They need to blast this one and put up a new outdoor mall or one you can just drive up to the store of choice. You could never get into the Christmas spirit at this mall they don't play Christmas music out in the hallways only the stores some of the stores will play music if you want people to spend money for the holidays you have to get them in the Christmas spirit now this mall should Be decorated from one end to the next. Poor management and owners. If I were you I would tear this mall down, and put in high end apartments and a high end mall that's the only way Town East will survive. Because once their done with the construction in Plano and Valley view malls. Its gonna be pretty much game over for town East Mall. read more

Shopping at this place around the holidays is a mess. Little to no parking and we went around the mall to find a good decent spot to park. The mall isn't that big, it a decent size to shop at with some favorites. Food court is location in the middle of the mall and upstairs. Plenty of different restaurants to eat at whatever you are desiring. The place is crowded and nice to see a mall that isn't dying and people still shop in stores. read more

I grew up right around the corner from the mall in Garland. It has changed a lot since I was younger with new stores coming in and older ones leaving. The demographics of the store have also changed with a much younger crowd coming into the mall. For the most part the products have stayed the same and the mall itself is still full of life and in a premiere location, directly next to a major freeway. People will find mostly anything they need if they come to Town East Mall, just be sure to catch major sales early or late because the traffic can be ridiculous to navigate! Besides that one minor drawback Town East Mall is one of the top malls in the city of Dallas and will have much of the stuff we look for. H&M, Forever 21, Victoria Secret, Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop, and those are only a few things that are going on at the mall. They have annual events going on to get the blood flowing! read more

Town East mall is one of the coolest malls I've been to so far! I moved to Texas only a few years ago and have been visiting this mall ever since! A variety of interesting stores and an upstairs food court, also including clean restrooms and a nice atmosphere! The store employees are extremely kind and never hesitate to help me with my needs, the browsing selections of each store never fail to wow me! I HIGHLY recommend this mall if you're looking for nice, new clothes and other accessories!!! read more

I finally got an opportunity to see this mall (Mesquite is a bit of a drive from Fort Worth), but I was in the area so I took advantage of it and checked Town East Mall out. Being an outsider, I have to say that I was impressed by the overall mall experience. Besides the Galleria, I've rarely been in a 3 story mall. I like the layout of the food court -accessible from pretty much everywhere in the mall. And I like the layout of the mall itself (though it would be great if they had a way to cut under the food court). As far as the mix of guest in the mall (which seems to be a topic of interest in the reviews) I can say that this is indeed a diverse mall (people of all races were present here). But overall, this is a nice casual mall (no high-end stores here) and someplace I'd probably revisit if I was in the area again. read more

I went here the other day for the first time in about 8 years. My my. It is very eclectic culturally which is nice (I'm looking at you Valley View), however it still seems to have that odd aura of trashiness. I don't get it. One thing I was impressed with was the shoe stores here, Town East actually has the largest Foot Locker in the area, they were huuggeee. However that said, I still couldn't find any styles I liked. I'm picky like tha tthough. I think the real problem is Malls like Northpark, The Galleria, and Willow Bend have spoiled me. Their shoe store selections keep this from being 2 stars. Tip, like most malls, but especially here and Valley View, avoid it on Friday nights and the weekends. read more

I know you like the back of my hand, Town East. You were my mall before Collin Creek, before Valleyview, before the greatness of Northpark, and certainly before the teenybopper's paradise that is Firewheel Town Center. You were the only mall I ever actually GOT stuff at, because we patroned you in the years when Mom bought all my stuff. And it was nice. It was ever so nice. I still remember how I memorized the locations of K.B. Toys [next to the BBW] and Gamestop [upstairs near the Foley's, now Macy's]. I remember this is where I first termed the words 'The Great Hall' to denote the main mall area itself. Town East, you were my first love. But it's a bit painful to see how Town East has sunk off the map a bit, and it's rather a bit ghetto nowadays. Here's to the memory of the good years, and hoping for the better. They have a decent directory of stores, but I'll be honest and say I would probably go for the Frullati, Auntie Anne's, or Chick-Fil-A... read more

Town East Mall. Come on. who remembers the old hang-gliders they had hanging from the ceilings in the 90's... I grew up in Mesquite, and have been shopping at Town East Mall since I was small, maybe 1988. And as I grew up, and eventually graduated high school in 2002, I saw Mesquite go through many changes. In a way, Town East Mall is like the barometer of change for Mesquite. Its condition, good or bad, is how people from the outside judge Mesquite as a whole. This is not fair, but it's how it is. While nothing like Northpark or the Galleria, I still find Town East Mall heaps better than Valley View, Redbird or Collin Creek. In fact, I prefer it to Firewheel as well due to the AC. The downside of Town East is the vendors in the isles, who hawk you for glasses, watches, cell phone cases and cheap perfume. I understand that they need these guys to pay the bills but they are a nuisance that I could do without for sure. I wont waste my time on racist or fearful based comments in reviews and abroad. Yes it's true, the "crowd" at Town East is no longer 90% white like it was in the 90's. Whoop de do. People of all colors and races need to shop too, and there is nothing wrong with that. Theft is an issue at all malls, as so is security. Your car is no more likely to be stolen here in Mesquite than it would be in Dallas. Anything can happen anywhere. If you feel better driving an extra 20 miles to shop with "your kind" of people, go for it. My kind of people are the ones who don't care what you look like. Town East Mall, I still love you, and I will still come shop at your stores. When you get some better tenants for me to spend money at, I will bump you to 5 stars. read more

Town East Mall is a landmark in the Mesquite area. For highschool students, Town East is THE hangout spot. Though it is pretty basic, in comparison to surrounding area malls such as Valleyview and Northpark, Town East is definitely a branded mall in the Dallas metroplex. A great new and creative attraction that has been added to the mall is Welcome 2 TX studios, which is a studio where aspiring and budding artist can go to record music and purchase production which is such a great and original concept. Forever 21 has become the premier store for teens and twenty-somethings as well. Along with this, they have managed to collect a huge amount of traffic to their store ( a title that Charlotte Russe and Agaci previously held.) Al in All, Town East is a great mall when your looking for a casual, fun, atmosphere. read more

Oh Town East how do you do it? Town East may just be the blue collar cousin to Northpark. Somehow this mall has stayed vital for nearly 40 years. It's not a terrible place, but well there's just nothing remarkable about it. Typical middle America mall, with the typical middle America stores. Anchors include Sears, Pennys, and Macys. Non-anchors are typical mall chains, lots of teen friendly stuff like Hot Topic, and Abercrombie. Town East is also home to one of only two Fredericks of Hollywood in the DFW metro, in case you find the wares are the other big lingerie chain a bit too boring. There's a seedy pet store at the end of one of the corridors, the place has been there forever. Pet stores are already sketchy places, but this one just seems especially trashy. They recently added a BJ's Brewhouse, now all the lovely citizens of Mesquite have a place to get some real beer. The mall itself has been remodeled in the last couple years to keep it relevant. There are certainly malls worse off in the area, such as Valley View which is just a lost cause, and Collin Creek which is dying the same slow death of Richardson Square. There is the odd third level which is very small and houses the food court. One would probably be better off not eating at any of the places in the food court as it is nothing but Mcdonalds, Taco Bell, and the like. read more

Nothing but mall rats running around. Kids can't behave and act like a bunch of animals at this mall. Security has no control over them. This will be Big Town in another few years if they don't turn it around. Food court is certainly lacking. Two sandwich shops, 3 Chinese restaurants, a couple of burger places and a pizza place. No real variety. This place really needs a remodel. It's starting to show it's age. read more

Not a bad mall....not a GREAT mall either. Usually filled with a mixture of jr high and high school kids on the weekends...avoid the crowds by going on a weeknight. They have the typical anchor stores (Dillards, Macy's, Sears) and the typical "teen" shops (F21, Hot Topic). Don't expect too much beyond that...and if you're looking for higher end...go do Northpark. They also have kiosks with knock off/cheap merchandise for that true "bargain shopper" not afraid to carry around a counterfeit bag or blinged out belt buckle. The food court is "ok"...a Chickfila...Subway...and other no-name places. Seating is plentiful...but its on the 3rd level by itself. I think you get where I'm going with this...if you're used to NorthPark/Galleria...you'll probably fear for your safety here. Just stay on your side of town and let us have TownEast :-D read more

I've been coming to this Mall for many years and I've come here since it's the closest one to me since I live in the White Rock Lake area. For the most part, the selections of stores aren't bad and you'll find your major brand stores Dillards, Sears etc...but, I do see that in time the Mall has been slowly transforming to a Bazaar type of Mall with these type of businesses that have individuals outside their doors trying to lure you into their stores. Don't get me wrong, you're not being pestered all throughout the Mall....but, I remember the days of going to the Mall to shop was about exploring, and finding good deals as you enjoyed your time shopping. This Mall is slowly losing that appeal...and it's forcing me to seek other Malls like North Park Mall or the Galleria that are bit further but have this appeal. Come to this Mall if you don't mind it being filled with High Schoolers that at times seem to be rowdy, and overcrowd the hallways. Which make the shopping experience a bit stressful if you have to shop as a family, (especially if you have kids), the walking around people just to get through isn't for me at all. read more

I have worked at the Auntie Anne's in this mall for about 6 years, so i know the mall pretty good now. I feel like the mall its seperated. You have a more 'classy side' and a more 'clubbing' side. The classy side i would say are the more common stores. Like Victoris Secret, New York & Co, Macy's, Fanz, Dallas Cowboys Pro. Shop, Fredricks of Hollywood,, Coach, Forever 21, Dillards are just a few. Then you have stores like Image, Wax and Wave. IF you get anything here, expect for it to be a one times use, MAYBE a 2 time. (there are more stores, but i dont shop at them, if you can tell) But overall I enjoy it. I feel like the other malls around Dallas are more 'upscale' and to be honest to expensive for me. This is just my opinion. read more

Sears Town East Mall Mesquite has very good sales, on Women, Men, Children and Toddler clothing. I am retired after working for the County of Los Angeles, Children and Family Services as a Senior Clerk * (known as) Administrative Assistant. I decided to move to Texas with my Sister, Dallas County. I've had several jobs since moving to Texss in June 2019. Texas has very low minimum wages and pay wages. It appears if you don't have some sort of degree. You are a paid slave. This was also happening just before I left California. But California minimum wage is $11.25 to $12.00. Texas minimum wages is $2.92 in restaurants as a waitress and a regular job or driving job. The minimum wage in Texas is $7.25. The cost of living in Texas is not that cheap to get paid so low in wages and be worked like a slave and talked to like a slave as they Do at Sears in Mesquite. After discussing what happened to me working a seasonal job at Sears in Fulfillment. I'm told all retail stores talk to their employees like slaves and like crap. They have no respect for Senior's, Retirees and strong independents employees. They like to hire student minors and youngsters who cannot stand for their rights. The Management Team in Sears Mesquite need to be replaced. The orientation and training is mandatory . But they don't abide by these trainings or policies themself. You can get away with it too. If you allow them to disrespect you and become a part of the negative political click or be a slave driven employee for $9.00 a hour with no benefits. The Management and a few lead worker's ( supervisors) are permanent. But everybody else they hire are seasonal and or part time with no benefits and lots of senior Retirees who need a supplement income. You can get hours and can do most anything without them bothering you. If you to need them and come to them like Children. I have always liked Sears. My family used Sears for decades. My mother ordered our school clothes from Sears. They pay $9.00 an hour and the Management talk to you like crap. They are making the money and want you to make them look good to the public and corporate. I refuse to be talked to or disrespected by anyone. I am an intelligent adult and a hard worker. You don't have to talk to me as I'm not human or like " Mamas Dearest ". The world need to take a look at Management in a lot of business. Because without consumers there's no business. You don't have to abuse or disrespect your employees because it's Black Friday " the people on " Black Friday" is going to all the stores anyway. They are looking for the best deals in Retail stores. That's it and that's all. If you treat your employees or people right in general. The Lord will bless you. But wake up people. " It's a Man's World " they have taken the Lord God out of everything. That's why the treatment is like it is. They have a supervisor in Fulfillment name Monica. Who like to form a click and is not professional, a woman who is strong, and there's no confidentiality with her. Monica turns coworkers against each other and want everything her way. Monica couldn't deal with a real, strong and experienced woman as me. I tried to respect her as my superior and I did. But she approached me with childish, and petty stuff. Monica also runs to Henry her boss like a child and cry baby. Monica has no business in the position she is in. But as long as she makes Henry feel big and run to him about everything. This is what most bosses like. For you to need them and not stand on your own. It's not saying you're not doing your job and following instructions. It means you can handle your unit or section without running and crying to the boss or Management. Monica does that. If you are not likd she want you to be. Monica will throw you under the bus and throw you to the alligators. That's the type of lead super Monica is and she's a black woman. I a black Retirees. Be careful working for Retail...it's very clicky and the Managers only care about numbers and looking good to Corporate. They do not care about you. Retail doesn't want to pay. It's a job of competition and extreme pressure. read more
