I had an awesome experience from beginning to end. I was greeted by Brooklyn with a kind smile and welcome and given some direction as to where I needed to go. I was then kindly greeted by Mannie, Mgr and was connected with Norman; who took it from there and made sure that my needs were taken care of. I was in and out in very little time. Each one of the above individuals mentioned, was very customer focused; kind and went over and above and made me feel like such a part of the Walmart family. The store was super clean and the smells of perfume made me want to shop lol. Due to my watch being so tiny it took a minute for them to service it but in the waiting time the store clerk was really nice and state the issue. After about 30 minutes I was able to leave with my links taken out and now I can finally wear my watch! Everyone was accommodating and pleasant and I have no doubt I would be a repeat customer.

For starters it appears as though they have removed or limited some of the higher end brands (i.e. Marchesa, Eileen Fisher, etc). They also have lots of clearance items that are cheaper at the Dillards outlet. Also, they've added more casual and what I like to call "Little House if the Prairie chic" except there is nothing remotely fashionable about these clothes. And on top of all that, the staff is so unfriendly. I spent a good 30 minutes in the second floor women's clothing areas and no one greeted me or asked me if I needed help finding anything. And it was in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday so I could count the number of customers on one hand. Super disappointed that this location has devolved in this way.

Mexican-American with long straight hair. She didn't want to help customers it was very obvious. I don't know if she was new or is terrible at customer service etc. Not sure why she decided to work there. She only probably gets paid minimum wage anyways. Which I believe in Oregon is only $15 an hour. That is not my fault or my problem. I literally try to explain why I was returning the item. And the item was only $16. I told her I got the wrong color and wanted to see what they had an inventory. Just wanted to return the item. She had an attitude and rolled her eyes. And then she asked where the receipt was. I said hold on a second let me grab it. As soon as I gave it to her she rolled her eyes again and literally told me that she wanted to call up the manager. So I had to wait 10 minutes for manager to come up because she didn't want to do her job properly or be nice to customers. When the manager came up I explained everything to him. He acted like he didn't care either. I guess these people are brother and sister are dating or something. Total losers. This Ross used to have good management for over 15 years. I was actually personal friends with the previous manager of the store. That is why I decided to do this specific no preview today. I'm going to let my friend know that her store has turned to crap. I also told the manager guy or the man who claimed to be the manager of the store. That he should have a talk with his employees and review customer service etiquette. But he acted like he seriously did not care. And didn't believe me. Will not return to this Ross location. I have been shopping at Ross since 1992. This is more of a warning for anyone that might want to buy something for someone before they might actually need it. You can't even exchange unused items after 60 days. This issue is also not specific to this JCPenney location. It just happens to be the location that I purchased my items from. I bought my grandson some Thereabout jeans during a sale right before school started. Unfortunately, he outgrew them before he had a chance to wear them. If you live in Texas then you know that we're still pretty much having summer even though it's almost November. So it's just starting to get cool enough for jeans. Anyway, I went to JCPenney to see if I could exchange them for a bigger size and was told that unfortunately after 60 days, they won't even exchange them, give you store credit, nothing. You're just stuck with your purchase. I have never been a regular JCPenney shopper (I wasn't pleased with the quality of my purchases in the past). If I ever do happen to shop there again, I will definitely not be buying anything that won't be worn or used immediately. I think I'll just stick to TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Even Ross will give you a store credit for the current price of the item and you have a year warranty on Cat and Jack brand at Target (i'm exchanging another pair of jeans for the very same reason. Thank goodness it hasn't been a year, yet.) I guess I'll be donating these jeans to someone else since my grandson cannot wear them and I'm stuck with them.
