From the office staff to the 4 movers we had contact with, there could not have been anyone else I would have chosen for this move. I especially enjoyed chatting with the Ukrainian brothers. If you are in the fence about which movers to use, I would HIGHLY recommend the team from Movin On.

I was promised a repair but the company has ignored my repeated emails and calls to get that arranged. To start off, one of the movers made inappropriate remarks to me, starting with "I broke up with my girlfriend yesterday" as he inquired as to my relationship status within TEN minutes (cannot make this stuff up). The driver then got their moving van STUCK in my driveway for more than 3 hours. They arranged a tow truck to free the van and they allowed my stuff to be towed to an unknown tow yard. Abdo was unable to get the truck that day, so my items say somewhere overnight in a tow yard. They promised me a refund of 200.00 for an inconvenience fee. Instead, they had the NERVE to charge an additional 459.00 for the day they unloaded. My favorite part: They attempted to charge my credit card more than 20 times for their additional charges! They kept trying different amounts to get every possible dime out of my account: 25.00, 50.00, 20.00, 100.00....they were successful at maxing out my card. If I could share a screenshot I would! Per the moving contract, they will erase the credit card info on file per request. So, of course, I did request that once I realized what they were doing. Lo and behold, they have still tried charging my card TODAY. I have now had to freeze the card and request a new one. Do NOT use this company. In the moving contract, they specifically state they can basically use your credit card anytime for fees they believe you might owe. They just sent me another invoice this morning.

I searched and found Raleigh Moving Company and they had some really good reviews. I called and was very pleased to find that they had availability this weekend. Johnny and his team, Travis and James, showed up on time and were both personable and very efficient with their work. They were careful with all the pieces (there were some older pieces of furniture that needed to be handled with care). In one case a bolt & washer unscrewed from the stand they had been on, but they found them on the truck for us. They were also very fast with both the loading and unloading of the truck which was great since we all had to drive back to the Triangle from Charlotte. Overall it was a pleasure working with Johnny, Travis & James. I would highly recommend them if anyone is looking for a moving company in the Triangle.

Made this account just so I could leave a review here…read more If I could do 0 stars I would. There's a saying that when hiring a service, you can usually choose two out of three: fast, cheap, or good. Unfortunately, this company delivered none of those. From the beginning there were red flags that we should have recognized alerting us to the disaster ahead. We never received a formal written quote or a contract, and the owner, Ken, handled all communication through unprofessional text messages. On moving day, we had to send multiple texts just to get confirmation that they were actually coming and time. Once they arrived, Ken and one other mover took nearly 10 hours to move a fully packed and wrapped two-bedroom apartment--with no appliances! Everything was organized and ready to go before they arrived. Prior to the move we had also provided a detailed inventory list yet they showed up with a truck that was too small for the job. As a result, they had to make multiple trips, significantly increasing the time and cost of the move. By the end of the day, it felt like they took advantage of our desperation and effectively extorted our family. What should have been a straightforward move became an unnecessarily stressful and expensive experience. I would strongly encourage other families to avoid this company and look elsewhere. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Furniture looked great after the move and movers were even early to unload the next day. The movers went above and beyond by tightening some legs on a table that were loose before loading it. Dimitri called to let me know they were on their way. It was a 2 man crew with a 26' Truck. I didn't have enough stuff to fill it but they had tie downs to keep the items from moving around while in transport. This is the first time I used movers and I didn't think that I had that much stuff to warrant it taking a while to load the truck. The only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because It took almost two hours to get the truck loaded. Unfortunately, the younger gentleman, Shawn... I believe was his name, did most of the work. I helped as I could. They did take care to wrap up the fragile and bulky furniture. They also helped me set up my bed frame and dresser so I didn't have to move it by myself. The gentlemen were very nice and friendly! Their deal was a great opportunity and saved me a lot overall. The other places I called quoted well over 400$ for a 1b/1b apartment.
