From the office staff to the 4 movers we had contact with, there could not have been anyone else I would have chosen for this move. I especially enjoyed chatting with the Ukrainian brothers. They didn't wrap my grandmother's 100+ year old porch furniture & took paint off top, chipped legs, sent someone who knew nothing to repair. He gunked paint on everything, it is a hot mess. They expect me to have no porch furniture for 12+ weeks because they won't rent replacement furniture for the best time of the year to sit on back porch. Stay away. Also, check everything, they splintered my dresser mirror & because I didn't notice until I cleaned it yesterday say it's one & done. They should be ashamed. read more

From the beginning they were upset at how we handled the move. I'm in a wheelchair, and my husband had hurt his back, and we are seniors. We pointed out the furniture (mostly upstairs), we were leaving , but they didn't listen. Most of the other items were left - lamps, nick nacks, small pieces of furniture, and pictures which I was specific in saying to pack ALL. The head guy even walked out in anger after telling us we had not organized enough. I thought paying to have it packed was just that- packing everything they were asked to pack. We are now left with getting certain things moved here, an hour from where we moved. I would not recommend them. They one good thing was the ease of getting the glass fixed when during the move one glass panel in an antique piece broke. read more

(My spot is such a way that with the incline from the driveway and the drain you'll get a flat tire if you turn too sharp). I rarely write reviews but this amazing company deserves one! After being highly recommended by many local moms, I scheduled an in person estimate with Danny the owner. He was polite, reassuring and professional. You can tell he has many years of experience and his estimate was more than fair. It was easy to communicate with his office staff (Julie and Linda) and they patiently fielded a few calls from us with questions leading up to the move. On move day, Lou and his crew arrived and they were tremendously friendly, polite, positive and upbeat. We put on some music for them and they laughed and communicated with us very courteously. They loaded our 3400 sq ft house in 6 hours and 2 trucks. The next day for the unload the crew returned and displayed the same positive attitude. They even had a second crew of 3 additional men come help and the unload took about 4 hours. I was very impressed by their respect, positive attitudes and professionalism. These men are trained movers - not day laborers. Danny said his average employee tenure is 9 years and it really shows. This company is doing a lot of things right! We recently moved from Durham to Raleigh using Movin on Movers. The crew we were assigned consisted of three young men who were polite, professional, careful and concerned. We were impressed! The crew chief particularly impressed us--Deshawn was his name( hope I spelled it correctly) In three days they packed, loaded and unloaded, navigated stairs and were attentive to any concerns my wife had about fragile or sentimental items. This company came highly recommended by my friend who used this company once earlier last year and her parents who have used these movers twice. Well, I have to say that I was rather disappointed. For an unloading of boxes/stuff from a storage unit to a house, I figured this would be a rather easy job for three guys that they sent for the job. While they weren't rude by any means, I did find them to be a little "slow." What I mean is...why did they feel that they needed to load three semi-heavy boxes onto a dolly...go 10 feet from the driveway to the door, lift the dolly up three steps to wheel a few feet and then have to unload the boxes to the floor?? The effort that I saw in two guys trying to lift the dolly with boxes just to have to lift each box and put onto the floor or second floor...was wasted energy and time. (*Note - the movers that I hired in Chicago called Move-tastic! were so amazing. Maybe someone should start a business that models theirs down here. Out of 92 reviews on yelp...they average 5 stars!) Oh, and the guy that was in charge seemed very inexperienced in moving. He actually banged himself a few times from not being careful...which definitely didn't give me the vote of confidence that he knew what he was doing with my stuff. About an hour and half into the unloading, one of the guys asked if I had a match. I wasn't thinking and said yes, handing him a book of matches that I happen to have in one of the boxes. Then all of sudden, all three guys are missing in action...and I find them out by their truck taking a smoke break!?! Are you kidding me??? So unprofessional. I couldn't believe it. I was completely irritated but didn't want to raise an issue because they still had more stuff to unload and I didn't want to jeopordize my belongings. Fifteen mintues later, they get back to work. They were done 30 minutes later, thankfully! While they didn't charge the time for their smoke-break, I find it absolutely ridiculous that they took one considering that we were their first and ONLY job that day and they had only been working for 2.5 hours. I would not highly recommend these movers. Now if you are on a budget and you know exactly what you are getting, then go ahead and hire them. From the staff in the office, workers who came to do pick ups or drops offs for me and the owner himself picking up and dropping off, I was very pleased. Moving On Movers moved us three months ago. We never heard from them after the move and had our $3,500. I can't complain about the actual move; they did OK. As they were bringing our furniture in the house I mistakenly sent a piece of furniture to the wrong room. When I asked to have it taken to the correct room, Adam, the guy in charge called me out in front of all his workers telling me that they didn't have time to be moving furniture the second time. He was very rude. Since I had paid a good sum of money I thought I was the boss. The other workers were very nice. Because of this one incident I would not recommend this company. As I said I never heard anything from the owner or the lady who had come to our house in Raleigh to try and make the sell. We moved to Wake Forest, only 7 miles away. I could have chosen other companies that would have been cheaper, as efficient, and I'm sure much more kind. I met with someone for a quote but it seemed like she wasn't really listening to me so it was pointless. I was told that since my short driveway had a slight incline that it would be an additional $500 but she would discount it to $250. Really?!?! That was on top her $1600 quote to move us 13 minutes away. She said it would be flat rate and it would take 12 and a half hours! Last I checked I didn't have that much!! I told her maybe I needed hourly and she tried to use scare tactics to make me do flat rate. No thanks! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Movin' on Movers. They moved my mom from Raleigh NC to Atlanta GA and they did an unbelievable job. Everyone we interacted with from the estimator, to the packing crew that didn't make the trip to Atlanta and certainly the 3 gentleman that made the trip with us, were incredibly professional, helpful and caring. They took amazing care with my mom's items and even made sure I knew what boxes some of her most precious items were in. They knew this move was hard on her and they did everything possible to make it easy on her, down to making sure she had a chair to sit in until the very last minute on moving day. I have worked with many moving companies over the years and all I can say is I sure wish these guys were based in Atlanta. I would work with them over and over and over again. These movers were not the least expensive of the three I interviewed, but certainly the most professional. The estimator, Judy was pleasant and listened intently the horror story of my move from the Gulf Coast to Chapel Hill. She assuaged my fears. They arrived on time and hit my house like a SWAT team! Each person had a specific role/room and even initialed each box so if there was a problem with the contents you knew who to ask. The truck was loaded and secured with serial number tags, verified by me, not to be opened until arriving at the destination. The truck was then stored in their warehouse until transport. The guys arrived on time and ready to unload. The security tags were intact, verified by me and then removed from the truck. It looked just like it did when they loaded it! Sean, Omar and Mike were so professional and involved me totally in the placement of items in the storage area. My son came by while they were unloading and was duly impressed. This was an emotional move due to the recent death of my husband. The team was very sensitive and treated me like a queen. Great job Movin' On Movers! I highly recommend this company!!!!! read more

I had interviewed two other companies and even though the bid from Movin' on Movers was not the least expensive, I found them the most professional and the owner who personally came over to estimate and give me a bid made me feel extremely comfortable. If you do your research online before you hire a company you will learn things you should expect and look for in a moving company when they come to bid. Movin' on Movers owner DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. I was so impressed. He explained all the charges and the procedures etc. His guys were more than professional when they came to pack up our belongings and move us. They were EXACTLY on time and polite, professional and very hardworking. Most of those experiences I would definitely not write a positive review about. My last experience prior to using Movin' on Movers was horrendous. Movin' on Movers was fantastic from the start. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional. They arrived on time, finished early, and even sent an additional truck with two more guys about half way through just to ensure they had enough room and would finish on time. We were told if he had a back-haul and could choose the delivery over a couple week period we would get as much as half off the fee. The company and crew manager lied to us on the phone saying they did not have the item. Finally the owner confessed that the item was broken and magically 'found' on the truck. The initial interview was great, thought it would be a great move. The actual move was terrible. Items inappropriately packed, Items packed but left behind (their excuse was me missed them, it happens). Items are missing. Boxes marked master bedroom placed in the attic, etc... My self contained socket set was on a self prior to the packers arrival, it must have popped open when they went to pack it, instead of of putting the sockets back where they belong that set everything on the other side of the garage from to fix, They moved my refrigerator with food in it (my wife had a cooler to empty it when the crew chief Andy told her he had it but forgot to empty it). I discussed all this with the owner Dan Wilson and he told me that I got an "excellent" move for the $6700 I paid to move from Fuquay to Lillington. Movin on movers were great! They helped us with a move from NC to PA. The price was reasonable, the movers were careful and courteous and everything arrived on-time. They also stored a pod full of our furniture while our house was on the market. They have the best prices on temporary storage pods. Danny, the owner, was willing to work with us with several unique requests. On moving day, the guys packed up the items in our home and then went and packed up the items that we had in storage as well without charging us an added fee. There were several days in between leaving our home in NC and settling in our home in PA and Movin on Movers held our items for us. Everything was delivered on time and only one chair was damaged during the move. The gentleman took the chair with them when they left and then mailed it back to us after they fixed it.
