I just had the worst experience I ever had with a restaurant. Understanding that it's New Year's Eve, we planned to place an order early and pick it up and reheat tonight. I was surprised when I placed my order online at 1:30 that it had an option for delivery and to choose a time for delivery. Skeptical, I chose delivery and put in my information, and the order went through. Great, my husband and I thought! I assumed it would be delivered late but beginning at 7 o'clock, I began to call to 1) make sure they received the order, 2) to find out how late it would be delivered and 3) if they couldn't deliver I would know to order from another restaurant. No answer or a busy signal for 3 hours. After 2 hours we gave up and scrounged around and reheated leftovers (for guests). The whole evening was pretty much a disaster. They did call three hours after our promised delivery time to see if we still wanted the food. Are they serious??? But they did assure me that I would get a credit. How nice of them! They will actually credit me for food I never received! They needed to change their online order system if they cannot take online orders for delivery or pickup. As it got later I noticed when I got on their website there was that message that pickup or delivery was not available if you tried to place an order, but there was NOT that message when I placed my order earlier that day. And I placed it early so we would get ahead of most orders. So we thought. Never going there again. My complaint is that if we were not early enough and they could not fulfill our order there HAS to be a way to communicate with them. By the time we realized we obviously were not going to be getting our order, none of us wanted to drive over there after having had drinks. read more

The avocado in their sushi was browned and they decided that Martin Luther King Day was considered a holiday to charge $2 extra for lunch specials. I was told that rice would come with my lunch special when I asked and was informed on my arrival that it didn't come with the take out version of the special. So, in overview, I was charged extra for my lunch special to get less food. This is a deceitful restaurant that you should avoid because they will try to swindle you at every corner. Great place for Chinese food. We like their Crap Rangoon, Fried rice (also spicy Thai version), Saigon Noodles and the Hot and Sour soup. Staff is very friendly, the orders come always fresh and the presentation is inviting. There is plenty of food to have some leftovers for the next day. read more

I used to love coming here, however my last experience here was not so good... First off, we were the only people in the entire restaurant, it was wicked hot out, and there was no AC on.. as soon as you walked it, the entire place smelled like chemicals (maybe they just had their rugs cleaned, but it was very overwhelming).. The soup was really off (tasted like cornstarch not broth and spices and it had a jelly-consistency), and while waiting for my sushi to be made, the owner (who was making it) sneezed so loudly WHILE making it..he was sniffling the entire time I was there and probably shouldn't have been preparing food if that sick. I was disgusted and wanted to leave even before putting in my order, just due to how hot and smelly it was that day in there. Last, we were the ONLY table there and yet our server barely came to fill our water glasses. Sushi is salty! Water is a necessity! read more

I've been getting take out here for years. The crab Rangoons are AMAZING. I can eat like a thousand of them. The sushi is top notch too, and the pork fried rice is great. The orders are always ready when we get there and everyone is super nice. I generally only do take out here because it tends to be super empty and makes me feel like I'm being watched while I'm eating (I'm probably not). I will always recommend this place! read more

Not only was the order incomplete but it could have killed my child who has a severe peanut allergy and we informed them in advance. It looked as if Mr. peanut himself sprinkled peanuts all over our food. It should be a larceny for charging for this food! read more

We sat down and ordered at 6:30. by 7:15, we had received a bowl of won ton soup and asked that our meals be to go. We did not leave until 7:35. I felt as if the waitress there was ignoring us, and she didn't even bring us water for the last 40 minutes we were there. We saw couples sit down, order, eat, pay their bill and leave before we got our food. Didn't even have the courtesy to give us any sort of discount or take the soup off our bill. Will not go there again, and when we got back home to eat at last, the sushi was half decent at best. If you are going there to eat, be prepared to spend the night there. read more

We have been ordering take-out from this place for many years and it is getting progressively worse. Tonight for at least the 3rd time we came home with the food and there was something missing from the order. I am pretty patient with restaurants, knowing that they can have the occasional bad day, but these people have screwed me for the last time. Not only did the order come up short but ALL of the meat dishes that I ordered had significantly more vegetables than meat! There are so many other much better options....Buh-Bye read more

I have been coming here since they opened(8 years) and I have no complaints! Friendly staff and outstanding service. Good quality food for a fair price. There drinks are always strong and worth the money! I come here anytime I want Chinese or Japanese cuisine(which is at least once a week). They have a nice bar you can sit at and a nice dining area for dates or casual lunch or meals. I can't praise them enough on there service and especially there food. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Chinese/Japanese cuisine and/or drinks. read more

Food was surprisingly good. Service was super friendly and didn't make me uncomfortable dining solo. I had scallop and shrimp in mango chili sauce, seafood was perfectly cooked and not over cooked. The menu is a little too overwhelming, but I'll need to try other dishes soon. read more

Portions were small and nothing extraordinary. The server was not very friendly but overall service was okay. But very strange atmosphere. Tried their online ordering. Waited an hour and a half for my order. Called them and they said it was on its way. Got a call back 10 min after saying the order was missed. Not how a business should be run. You just lost a local customer. read more

FYI for anyone reading the poor previous ratings other users have given Iron Chef, please be aware that Lee (the amazingly, super-friendly male who used to be the server) is now the restaurant owner as of January 2015 (I believe) and will definitely do whatever it takes to be sure you're satisfied! Try going there and don't let the poor reviews turn you away as the restaurant is under new management. Lee usually waits on us (probably because he knows us by first names and remembers our orders) but I think he might be one of the few servers too, so you'll definitely get good service. The meals are excellent, drinks are great, and the sushi is wonderful! Particularly the sweet potato maki. read more

First time here. just got take out- the house Lomein was disappointing- very little beef , shrimp and chicken. That's what you pay for when you buy a house item- I could have cooked my own noodles for less than the $11 it cost me- not interested in trying anything else. read more

Where to start. I've been meaning to write a review for some time. This place is such a treat for us. We eat here at least once a month. The service is incredible and the atmosphere is quiet and intimate. When it comes to the food quality, I can honestly say that it is far beyond any expectation that I originally had upon trying the place for the first time. The food is fresh, delicious and complimented by impressive presentation that really makes this a wonderful experience. I order sushi while my boyfriend orders more common dishes like the Pepper steak or sesame chicken, and we are both always stuffed by the time we leave. I've never had to wait for a table and am always greeted with a smiling face. Overall the restaurant is a special place that I'd prefer to keep to myself forever, however they deserve to have their name praised in a public environment. Choose this place for your next night out and I know you'll be pleasantly surprised. P.s. There is an excellent waiter named Lee who will make you feel like you are being waited on at the most expensive restaurant in Boston. He is a wonderful addition to an already excellent restaurant. read more
