Nita has been doing my highlights on waist length hair for years now. I won't let anyone else touch my hair. She helped me go from fried shoulder length bleach hair to healthy waist length in roughly 4.5 years. So today I had to cancel my 1:15 appointment with Bailey due to an unexpected trip to the emergency room. Aside from being exhausted after having been to the ER I was stressing as I have an event tomorrow which I had scheduled the appointment specifically for. I decided to walk in after being released and tell them my sob story (keep in mind it's Saturday which I'm sure is always swamped) and not only did they get in touch with Bailey who had stepped out, but Bailey agreed to reschedule me after her last appointment. I can't express how shocked I was with how kind they were and what excellent customer service they offered. I am a brand new client who canceled my first appointment then came in begging for a same day reschedule. Bailey would have been well within her right to tell me to kick rocks but she was wonderful! And the cut? I LOVE IT! I will be going back and hope you consider making an appointment too! read more

I've found it difficult to balance being a working mom and giving a shit about my appearance. I used to be all cute and shiny, but now I settle for meh. Recently I found myself with some time for...myself. So I opted to get my hair did. I like being a ginger, and like to regingerfy my auburn locks with some brassy color now and again. This a gamble, as anyone who has gone red knows. You can turn out magenta. Or orange. Or worse (don't even ask about the one time I colored my own hair with a hue called chai spice). But the owner of Iris nailed it. To the wall. I was born a redhead, but this is so much better. It's natural looking, but not faded out. It pops without overwhelming my already fair complexion. I just recently moved to the Gresham area from downtown Portland and was looking for a salon near my fiance's house. Decided to give this place a try. I was very impressed. I had waxing and a peel done by Kristi who did a great job. Definitely less painful (the waxing) than the last place I had tried in the NW. Then I got a haircut with Christine and she also did a great job--fast yet thorough and she knows what she is doing. First time I went here and can say I will never be back. When I walked in it seemed like nobody wanted to check me in. My appointment was for 12:30 and Nita made me wait till 1. She didn't listen to what I wanted and it seemed like she was complaining about how thick my hair is. An hour and a half later my hair was not even and had horrible layers. She suggested I wait a couple weeks to see if I liked it and if I didn't she would fix it for free. I called three times and nobody answered. Very disappointed. read more

I went to Kristi at Iris Salon for a full leg wax and had a great experience. The salon itself is very cute and had a great friendly atmosphere right off the bat. The room we were in was very nice and private, it was decorated nice and had a very cozy feeling while still feeling very high end. Kristi is an amazing esthetician. Besides having great results from the wax, she is very friendly and personable and is someone that makes you feel comfortable right away. We talked through the whole service, which makes it go by fast and actually fun to go get your legs waxed. Kristi is someone who makes you look forward to your return visits, and I will definitely be going back to her every month! read more

Bailey was great! She was so kind and personable. Much like my hairdresser I had in Las Vegas. I have been looking for a replacement hair stylist who understood my hair and style and I think I have! I had a terrible haircut back in July and it was growing out into some weird mullet. Bailey was able to fix my hair, but keep it in the style that I prefer. I moved to Gresham for a job, and found myself in need of someone who could skillfully handle thick unruly hair, and keep it colored for me as I'm not ready to embrace my grey yet , a few appointments around town, then I found iris salon. The stylists there are truly wonderful, and I met Christine. Fast forward to 7+ years later, I still see Christine every four weeks and she sends me out each time looking like a lady. I've come to know Jennifer and Monica as well throughout the years of going there and watching them while I'm taken care of, although I stay loyal to Christine. I feel like family there. This place is darling, the stylists were friendly and they gave me exactly what we wanted. I was nervous trying a new salon in Gresham since I have been in the salon and spa industry for 15 years in Portland and know exactly what I want/don't want. I went to Iris Salon while in the area visiting my mother. I found them on Yelp and decided to give them a try. Loved the online appintment scheduling and that they post their prices so I knew exactly what I would be charged when I got there. Jennifer did a fantastic job on my haircut. I love it. She was great at making sure she was doing what I wanted, double checking length and making suggestions as she went along. A really nice experience. When I first moved to Gresham, I looked long and hard for a good hair salon, and I saw this salon while driving through downtown Gresham. I checked out their website online and was delighted to find that you can book all your appointments online. I booked a hair appointment with Christine, and left very satisified with the results. I'm pretty picky about stylists, so I was happily surprised to find her and this salon. Christine also does my waxing, and again, she does not disappoint. She and the rest of the staff are great and friendly. I have become a regular customer for all my hair styling and waxing needs. read more
