It might seem crazy that I'm writing a review after one treatment, but my experience was THAT awesome. I will update once my treatments are complete with effectiveness info. I've had IPL treatments previously. As we all know, they're not the best. Laser Smooth utilizes electrolysis, and the difference is paramount. I had ONE treatment on two areas over a month ago, and haven't had to shave my armpits since. I am considering doing more treatment areas now that I've seen how incredibly effective this is. I was so pleased with my laser hair removal session at Laser Smooth! At first I was looking on Groupon to find a cheap place to continue my laser hair removal treatments as we just moved from another city. But then I came across Laser Smooth and realized they had the LightSheer Duet hair removal laser that a friend of mind had raved about years ago because it can do bigger sections at a time reducing the amount of pain you feel. So I decided this was the place I needed to go and knew it would be worth it even though it was going to cost a little bit more. (Kim also mentioned there are only a few of these type of lasers in the whole state of Oregon.) Kim was fantastic. She is warm and friendly and immediately puts you at ease. We laughed a lot throughout the treatment as I worked through the pain! I'm not going to lie and say laser hair removal doesn't hurt because it definitely can but I will tell you that I would do it any day over waxing!!! LOL The best part though was that Kim was EXTREMELY thorough! I had my lower legs, upper lip, underarms, and brazilian done all in one session. She made sure to get all the nooks and crannies and did not miss any spots. She was not sloppy at all like other places I have been. The owner, Kim, is very nice and put me at ease right away. I had never tried laser hair removal before, so I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. She had me fill out a medical questionnaire then explained the process and answered my questions. I had a Groupon for 6 treatment, so I chose to have my chin done. I only had a few stubborn hairs that felt like whiskers, but surprisingly it only took 2 treatments. So, she let me use the other 4 treatments for my feet. Kim uses new state-of-the-art laser. It's really fast, all of my appointments were on my lunch breaks from work. It has been 6 months since the treatment on my chin and none of the hairs have grown back, I'm thrilled! However, most of the hair on my feet/toes continued to grow and was not removed :( I think maybe the laser wasn't on a high enough setting? That's the only reason I didn't rate with 5 stars. I plan to go back in the future to retry hair removal on my feet. And, I have referred several friends and co-workers to go here. read more

Today I went in for a free consultation. Kim was super friendly, easy going, and put me at ease. She explained the two laser options she had and treated one of my armpits so I could feel what the laser was like as well as see the difference between my two armpits in two weeks. The location was very discreet. I liked that the majority of the building was an urgent care and the building felt like a professional clinic, so I wouldn't be as embarrassed if someone I knew saw me walking in the doors of the place. I'm going to wait two weeks to see the difference between the area treated by Kim and the area untreated. I'm being completely serious, the laser did not hurt! The one she tried on me had a fairly large head (like the size of a dog tag) that had a vacuuming and warming sensation on my skin. It took less than 10 pulses on my armpit to be complete, and definitely less than 5 minutes. The only part that could be scary for some people is the fact that you can't see what's happening because you're required to wear goggles to protect your eyes from the light. One other potential downside (and this is generally for laser hair removal, not specific to Laser Smooth) is that 6 treatment would take 9 months to complete the area! That's quite a commitment when you're not supposed to use any other type of hair removal on the area. Thank goodness it's at the end of summer... Later today I went to another laser hair removal place, just to compare. They had a doctor on staff and an RN did all of the treatments. However, the RN did not make me feel welcome, the cost would be 3x what Kim quoted me, and if anything I felt like she wanted to get me out the door. It did not feel personalized and she did not try her two laser options on me. By the way, the one she said she'd use was the smaller of the two types Kim had. It supposedly was cool against the skin and felt like a rubberband. The tip was the size of a toothbrush head. Anyways... I hope this information is useful to someone considering laser hair removal! read more

After calling a few places I'm happy I chose Kim. She is so sweet and knowledgeable and really takes her time to explain the process. I really like that she is honest and wants the results to work. I've started my armpits and Brazilian, I'm on my fourth session and have seen a huge difference. My armpit hair is almost 90% gone and I've noticed s huge difference in my Brazilian. I have since used up my Groupon, could not go during my pregnancy, but since giving birth have gone back for touch up twice this year. Kim is very gentle, goes over exactly what's gonna happen before she applies the laser to your skin and tells you which spots she will treat first, so you are not surprised when you feel the laser. Some spots you can feel the zap, it feels like a rubber band. I am loving the results, I can see the reduction in the hair and less frequency for shaving. I was someone that wanted laser hair removal for years and it took forever for me to finally bite the bullet and do it. I'm so glad that I came to Laser Smooth! Kim is so sweet, flexible, and her services are very competitively priced. I've been extremely happy with the results; I'm five sessions in and my hair is almost completely gone. Even in sensitive areas the pain isn't that bad and it gets less painful with each session (sessions don't last very long either for a small area like I did, my average appointment was probably 7 minutes from the time I walked in the door from when I walked out the door). I recently had my first laser hair removal session with Kim, and I'm thrilled. I spent a good amount of time researching where to go, and Laser Smooth seemed like a good bet: - they use a laser, not IPL, which I've read isn't as good for permanent reduction - they're not a salon that offers a variety of services - just laser - Kim will do each of my treatments - not a different technician every time - good pricing - not many reviews, but all good (who knows with reviews - eventually you just have to go with your gut) Based on these factors I picked Laser Smooth, and so far I'm really pleased I did. Kim was great - very friendly, helpful, very clear about the the process, and insisted we not continue unless I absolutely met all the criteria. She never once tried to upsell me - it all felt very easy going and friendly. As far as the results of the laser hair removal, I can't say of course because I just went - I'll do my best to write another review a few months down the line. read more
