I'm not sure what the issue was as nothing was communicated to me but my appointment for hybrid lashes took 3 hours! I fell asleep for most of it but woke up as soon as it started hurting. Thank you, Sam. Your amazing! I highly recommend checking this gym out. And trying the personal training. I feel like I get a much better workout with a trainer. I'm not a wealthy gal, btw. I only buy training sessions when they're on-sale (2-3 times a year). And they have a few ways to earn points that can be traded-in for trainings. I really appreciate these efforts they make to make fitness more affordable for everyone.

I really liked this gym, which is why it's especially disappointing that I ultimately decided to…read moreleave. One of the main reasons I chose an all-women's gym was the sense of privacy, exclusivity, and safety that comes with knowing the space is specifically designed for women. Recently, the gym hired a male massage therapist, and the massage room is located within the same area as the gym. For me, that fundamentally changed the environment. It defeats much of the purpose of paying the premium price for an all-women's facility if men are now regularly present in areas where women are working out and receiving services. The gym has also opened a café that leads directly into the gym. Since the café is open to the public, it has brought people into the space who otherwise would not have access to the gym. I've noticed men lingering around the café, which made me increasingly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the coffee hasn't exactly been good enough to make that tradeoff worthwhile. At this point, I have to question whether the owner is more interested in taking women's money than protecting women's safety and preserving the environment that made this gym worth the premium membership price in the first place. That may not be the owner's intention, but that is unfortunately how these changes have made me feel as a member. I understand that a business can evolve and expand its offerings, but if the gym is moving toward a more co-ed experience, I think that should be communicated transparently. The value proposition of an all-women's gym is very different from that of a traditional gym. If the exclusivity and privacy are being diluted, members deserve to know that before paying the premium price. I really enjoyed working with the trainers here, and I would still recommend connecting with some of the personal trainers if you can find a way to work with them independently. There are genuinely great people here. Ultimately, I left because the gym no longer felt like the all-women's space I originally signed up for. I hope the owner seriously considers whether these changes are consistent with the reason women chose this gym in the first place. I also anticipate that the owner's response to this review may emphasize the gym's commitment to women's safety and explain why these changes are supposedly consistent with that mission. I would encourage prospective and current members to look beyond the polished response and consider the actual changes taking place. For me, the issue is not what the stated mission is; it is whether the experience and policies in practice continue to reflect that mission. Unfortunately, my experience has led me to conclude that they no longer do.

Can you imagine a pedicure in a PRIVATE room, with someone who speaks perfect english so an actual conversation can possibly ensue, and communication about how you'd like your feet/nails done is a breeze? I couldn't. It was refreshing not to have to ask, "What?" 10 times throughout my pedicure. Have you seen Anjelah Johnson's nail salon comedy bit on youtube? That is much closer to how normal pedicures go. This was delightful; a private room, sanitary procedures and a very fun and personable lady. The nail colors (OPI) were all on artificial nails, in a little box for you to pick through while you sit, and you can see what they'll look like on your nails, no surprises once they're applied. This was the best Mani/Pedi I've ever had, in a private room where people are not walking by, walking in, or sitting anywhere in your view. It's amazingly relaxing. That being said, I am the kind of person that mostly allows myself these luxuries because you get a free massage from the fancy massage chairs that almost feel like human hands. Hands Face Body Place had a massage chair but it was lacking, one that just kind of shakes, and now I need to book a massage instead. Call me cheap, whatever, but next time I guess I will take the language barrier and public gawking at my adorable toes in order to get the massage.
