First time I tried their services I was ecstatic that I had found quality on the east side. Went back a second time and I think the lady was still learning, so I was somewhat understanding but man was it painful! Third time- so awful. I had the experienced lady from my first time, but for some reason she chose to go super slow - maybe to inflict more pain - charged me more than she had the first and said that she could not do it well because the hair was too short. I understand that part as it is her craft, however why charge me more than she had the first time? And why change the method of execution. read more

Yeah, free mimosas are SUPER awesome.... but I'd rather have phenomenal service and professional waxing. It was VERY easy to book an appointment online. Had several text and email reminders so I wouldn't miss my appointment. Parking is limited if you visit during busy hours as the street parking is taken, otherwise it's not too bad. My eyebrows were done by Amanda. She was VERY friendly, approachable and informative. We did a quick consultation before and mapped out exactly what I wanted. As advertised, The wax they used is much more painless than any other salon. I wasn't irritated or in any pain I love my brows and I'll be sure to visit here again!!!! Let me preface by saying I've had my eyelashes done several times by 4 different people. I would put this place at the bottom of my list. Owner wasn't warm at all. She grumpily asked me if I wore mascara the night before and I told her I hadn't. She kept sighing and wiping off my eyelids sounding exhausted by having to merely wipe away what was entirely not visible to me. Then I remembered that three days ago I had worn fake lashes and used glue for those. I said: "Oh you know what I wore fake lashes about 3 days ago. Do you think that's what it is?" She then responded with a pissy: "Yeah, that's exactly what I asked you. I made a girl go home the other day because she came in with a full face of make up." My mistake was I should have left at that moment. I should have taken my money elsewhere. In the middle of our appointment she proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation with a customer who was asking for a wax. Then she continued to have a 5 minute conversation with her secretary/assistant/trainee to convince them to try and do the wax for her. She kept answering the phone during our appointment. So it got pushed out longer than the time she told me it would take. I sat on the table for a brutal 3 hours listening to some mix of music that was a blend between whiny heartbreak pop and Christian rock. When I've gone to other places they've asked me what I like to listen to or they ask me if the music they're playing is okay. I asked for high volume lashes. Something that looked very fake and not natural at all. I wanted them as long as possible. I've seen PTA moms wear longer fake lashes then the ones I got. I've since found the lash salon that has delivered the high volume lashes of my dreams and if you look in my reviews I've reviewed that business. Maybe this sounds like your kind of place and I encourage you to go there if you're looking for a shorter natural lash look or if you're style of music something between Switchfoot and Taylor Swift then this is the place for you. read more

It's a bittersweet thing your brow/lash girl moves away & you have to search for someone else you can trust with your precious eyebrows. Thankfully I didn't have to look too far at all! I messaged Wink & Wax through Yelp and they responded within 5 minutes. I told them my situation and that I was looking around for a new brow girl and wanted to see if we'd be a good fit. She was able to get me in the following day! Her studio is aesthetically pleasing from the outside. I can tell a lot of thought went into her business and the look she was going for. The Wink & Wax logo catches the eye! It definitely caught my eye 6 months ago when they opened up shop! Anyway, Aliva greeted me warmly and led me to the room. It a very clean operation! She made me feel super comfortable and asked me how I like my brows. I showed her a picture of how my brows look when they are fresh and that is what she gave me! I love that she uses that soft wax. I was anticipating the normal wax-strip pain but it was not bad at all! After the wax she applied some witch hazel to calm my skin down and offered to fill in my eyebrows. I love that she went the extra mile and took her time. My eyebrows look great! I will forever and always love my first brow girl but I'm happy to have found Alivia! I love this place and I think LOVE is an understatement, because in this place is great and everyone there is AMAZING. From when they greet you from when they are servicing you until the end that you are walking out of the establishment. I have gone three times now to this establishment and I've always had great customer service. I felt super comfortable and I just got a Brazilian done for the first time and I don't think it could have gone any better than it did. I was SUPER comfortable I got to talk to throughout the whole process with the details of what was going on what was next and what was left. As a bigger person I am already self conscious of my body being different than what the norm is.
