We are definitely returning to Lux Nails!! Kevin worked with my daughter and her nails are stunning. She really appreciated the experience and we are making plans to return for her Birthday. I had a pedi while waiting for my daughter. This was by far the very best experience I have ever had at a salon (aside of McMenamins Ruby's Spa). Kevin is a perfectionist, be prepared to spend some extra time in the chair if you want a design. My pedi experience was awesome! The massage chair was great, and the complimentary mimosa was such a sweet surprise. Lovely, soft music in the background with a YouTube video of rolling hills, zero chatter (yay!!), massage chair and wine. This was such a chill experience. My daughter showed off her nails to friends/family and they immediately asked where she got them done because they want to see Kevin also. He's going to have a very busy Summer! We so appreciated their hospitality, environment setting and talents. My only regret is not tipping them as much as they deserved. Next time!!! We paid $145 for one mani and one pedi. The length, design and jewels made the price increase but per my daughter, it was totally worth it. I believe my pedi was $45 which included a 10 minute massage. I have happy feet! The mini and pedi were good but they rushed my whole app all together. While I was getting my pedi I wanted to relax and read my book and enjoy their complimentary drink they offer, but the guy came and sat and start doing my manicure during the pedicure time. You can't say the place was busy I was the only one and the place was empty. Future note plz don't rush customers at their app some of us come to relax and have a good time. read more

I did a walk in and asked them to take off gel nail polish. The girls sitting down acted like I was an inconvenience to them. Then the guy spent 10 minutes looking for the right tool. Left the nails looking unfinished like I had done it at home. I didn't ask for anything new just to take off the gel finish but I figured he'd make it look decent at least. I received a gel pedicure. My feet weren't really scrubbed to remove dead skin cells, the leg massage was uncomfortable and rough. The worst part was the nails. They were cut and filed poorly so it nearly created an ingrown toenail on both of my big toes. I had to correct it myself two days afterward from the discomfort I was feeling walking around. They also put the clear top coat all over my cuticles so it yellowed quickly and looks awful with white gel polish. The tech spoke clear English but unfortunately her conversation was a bit rude and took me off guard. read more

Went in with my daughter and we both got shellac manicures and pedicures. The numbers listed on the color swatches didn't match what they had on the bottle and they looked different than when applied to my nails. I got the standard pedicure which comes with the wax treatment and I did not get it. They were really busy with only 3 workers for a Sunday and I didn't want to keep waiting. I don't usually leave reviews to places, but after this experience I felt like it is necessary to share. I went into Bella Nails to get acrylic nails done. Right off she had grabbed dip power and I had asked for gel. I got two different colors and the red she gave me wasn't the right color I had picked. So nothing I asked for. After she had put on the tips she went to file down the nail more. While doing this, she filed down my pinkie nail too far and causing pain and a burning sensation and I pulled away. I didn't want to stop at this point because it was half done. (The electric file heads were stored together in a Altoids mint container and not sanitized afterward). This took over 1.5 hours and I came out with bumpy nails. The next day I woke up to the same nail that was filed too far had lifted up along with my actual nail and was very irritated. We called Bella nails that day to tell them the situation and they seemed to not want to deal with the situation until we mentioned that I am a type 1 Diabetic and it looks like they could've given me an infection. They asked us to come in. Which we did the next day. When we came in it was busy and a guy greeted us. We told him we had called about my nail and he came over to look at it. He tried to blame us of the nail being lifted because I had cut it done to allow a band aid to fit around it. After repeatedly explaining this to him he still tried to blame us. While looking at, it he kept touching my hands even though we had told him not to touch anywhere near the nail. He kept saying my nails were good and walked away back to his other client. It wasn't until I asked if he could do anything for us like a refund and that I was going to write a review. He finally came back and asked for the card and wanted to copy it which we said no he couldnt copy the card number. He finally after a while wrote us a check for the refund. I use to go here a lot. And as stated in the post below, Everyone is new. Which may not be a bad thing, but in this case it is. No one is friendly or kind. SAVE YOUR MONEY & GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place use to be sooooo amazing and such a vibe when I brought friends to get our nails done. Don't waste your money here. I tried this place because I had a gift card. I got both a mani and pedi. They rushed the whole time and kept switching people. They didn't cut any of my cuticles or anything before painting. She didn't even take off all of my previous polish off before painting. I already had peeling on my hands and feet when getting home. I went in with hopes of getting nails similar to ones I had seen on Pinterest. I looked up pictures and reviews and they looked good. I called ahead of time to make sure they had time to fit me in. Once I arrived the lady in the front began yelling at another lady in the back to come help me (the place was empty). The girl came out about 5 minutes later after the front lady kept yelling to her. She asked what I wanted and I showed her a picture she told me to go to the other girl and that she doesn't do designs and then disappeared into the back. I went back to the lady in the front and let her know the other lady wanted her to do them. At that time she was in the middle of decorating a fake set. She showed me what she was working on and it was very pretty, so I figured she was better with designs. I asked her if she could do the ones in the photo because if not I just want a plain color, she said she could do it. During the process she kept talking and laughing and I was honestly confused until after about 20 minutes I realized she was on the phone. She told me she was talking to her boy friend (which didn't bother me). I was doing gel and she forgot to dry my nails multiple times and kept smudging them and having to fix them. I wanted a maroon color and she did them a deep red. She forgot to put too coat on one of my hands until I reminded her and she put two coats of top coat on the other. The waves did not look in my opinion very well done. She was super nice. The only thing that really made for the loss stars I would say is the fact she repeatedly did not dry my nails and then smudged them. I would tell her she forgot and she was like no I did and then would smudge it and say oops and have to redue it. I was there for so long that I was about to fall asleep as she was doing them. This whole time there were no other clients there AT ALL. She did give me a free mail file which was nice. They cost $70 which I feel they weren't worth because they looked nothing like I wanted. This is my very first time leaving a review. And sadly it's not a good one. i have been going to this nail salon for 6 years already and had never had a complaint til now...the people are all new. I wasn't expecting all of them to be new, the old people before were so good. This nail salon WAS my favorite unfortunately the new people made my first time experience shitty. The lady that was doing my pedi's was giving such an attitude when I asked to make my french tip thinner and said it was going to be $10 more when I was already paying $95 and specifically showed her a picture of how I wanted my French tip to look. I'm sorry but I'm the type of person that if I'm going to pay the cost I want to be satisfied with the work. I was so annoyed and disappointed I didn't even want to tip her. First and last time here. Went in for a fully set and came out with nothing I wanted. I wanted a French manicure with glitter base and purple tips. I was told no I don't want color. These lazy person used white tips and fought me the whole time about color. He Tony did not push my cuticles back, clean up my nails nothing. Made them too long and miss shaped. I had to try to fix my nails when I got home. Don't go here. File you Fancy in Gresham is hard to get in so make an appointment, there you will get what you want while being totally pampered. I have been a customer here since maybe about 2016 for pedicures only. it's been my favorite place because they're clean, polite, and their work is 10/10 times really great regardless of the different nail techs i've had. over time i started spacing out my pedi's even more because this place seemed to be inconsistent with prices which could vary by day it seemed like. i came in recently, place looked a bit different (less nail stations, complimentary drinks gone), i asked the male tech that would be doing my pedi if there is a new owner and he said yes and started bad mouthing the previous owner. he seemed so annoyed in general and quite honest gave me anxiety. he would talk nonstop with the another tech there, me being on my phone i couldn't easily distinguish if he was speaking to me or not with the accent being quite thick-- which i could see made him mad. they would have people hanging out by the back door smoking, while the door was wide open and allowing the horrid smell of cigarettes to permeate the place. he RUSHED my service, i was in and out in 30 minutes, didn't shape my nails or any of the bare minimum things. in addition, their ipad/chip reader wasn't working, they humiliated me and made it seem like my CARDS (multiple cards were tried) had no funds, when in fact it was their wifi that was not working. i offered other cards and it got to the point where someone took my card along with the ipad OUTSIDE and out of sight to get "better signal". super sketchy. on my way out, they started arguing with a couple of girls who had scheduled an appointment and their tech was no where to be found, and somehow taking it out on them instead of apologizing or offering solutions. i was better off painting my own nails. coming here and getting pedi's used to be a treat but after this stressful anxiety inducing experience i will not be back ever. this place used to be great and so welcoming, now it gives me chills and makes me upset. very sad to see all the hard work Tony (previous owner) did to make this place thrive all go to waste so quick because of the new owners and staff. read more

I had gone to this studio for years. But over time, my manicurist began to slack off in the work and my last three sets were a disaster. I ended with extremely damaged nail beds and then found out recently, from the pedicures I ended up with toe fungus where my nails of my two big toes came off from the bed. The manicurist was always on the phone and seemed like many personal issues going on and I could not relax at all. I would not return to this studio. read more

I normally come here for my eye brow waxing but the main lady who normally does it wasn't working and another lady who has done them before was busy with a pedicure. So this lady, who has never done my waxing before, approached me after waiting 35+ mins and told me to come back into the room. Her name is LOAN. She is by the far the ABSOLUTE WORST!! I advised her to please make my brows a little thinner due to them being so thick (my fault due to hate plucking). Well to start off, she dropped the tweezers on the ground, then picked them off the GROUND and laid them back down by my head and continued to use them on me!!! She then got wax in my hair!!! Then after the waxing, she put some oil solution on a cotton ball and put it on my brows and the cotton was so drenched with the solution that it went into my eye. I got to take at look at my eye brows after this one hot mess of an waxing session and they are so freaking thick! She seriously didn't listen to the only thing I had said to her. And not only that, they're so straight on the bottom. And they're so square! LOAN WILL NEVER TOUCH MY EYE BROWS AGAIN!! By far, this is the worst experience I've ever had here. read more

Love how great they do my nails each time! Definitely the best acrylic nails I have ever had and don't even feel like I have one fake nails. Okay first they gave me cold water for my pedi. I asked for hotter water no biggie THEN I got completely grosse out when she rinsed off the tools she used to scrub my feet! I called before hand to see if they had any opening in 45 mins a bit last min on my part but she excepted the walk in. When I got there it was packed! Like everyone in town decided to go packed. So my fault I guess. But them allowing walk ins did seem to effect the quality done on my nails because they except anyone instead of making an appointment for another day. They got black powder from my acrylics all over my hands, and it already looks like I'm going to need a fill in the next couple of days. My friend also had her nails done there, and they messed up horribly. At first, they refused to give her acrylics because her hands are too small (which they aren't because she has had her nails done many times before) But then the suddenly changed their mind, and now her nails are crooked and about to fall off, AND her cuticles are completely shredded (she told her to please be careful six times). She's very experienced and always helped me to get the right things for me. She's great at hand painted nail art and has waxed my brows up numerous times. I can't say enough terrific things about her. If Kim isn't available, I try to wait. If I can't, I go to Tina without hesitation. Another hard-working professional who has always given me exactly what I've asked for. I really can't say enough kind things about Kim, Tina or the salon. Everyone there goes the extra mile to accommodate you. Love this place! I've visited Bella Salon often on over the past few years. The last three times that I have been in I have gotten the same gal. As a result I will never, ever go back to Bella! Let me explain why... This gal turns a relaxing procedure into a painful one! A friend has had the same experience, & for the same reasons will not return to Bella. This last time this technicians' work was yet more incomplete. I'm very ticklish so I request that she uses the scrub stone on my heels only. Each time she locks down my foot and does my toes. When she uses the emery board the it cuts into my toe and this last time she cut my toe with the emery board . She ran the cuticle tool over the top of my toenail but never pushed back the cuticle. She left jagged edges on my toenails, didn't paint the whole toenail, and was falling asleep while doing the pedicure. Did I mention that a week later I had a raging case of foot fungus? I just left this place. Went to soak off my nails and getting overlay over my real nails which were long. She began the process which was okay at that time. Then did not get all the acrylic off before applying the new set. She began to file my nails with a dirty polished worn-down file and had an old buffer waiting to buff. I corrected her and ask her can I purchase a file and a buffer which she tossed it up on the table for me. She began to act as if she was angry with me for asking for a brand new file. Once the service was complete she did not want to shake my nails she was just going to start painting over unshaped nails then when I asked her about it she filed my real nails down to nubbs. She was acting like she really didn't want to do it I told her I could do it and began to file my own nails and shape them the best that I could so that I wouldn't walk out of there looking crazy. She loaded my fingers up with five coats of thick gel my pointer nail is so thick and wide it's ridiculous this was a horrible experience and I came there explaining to them about my previous horrible experience. at this point I don't think it's too much to ask for my nails to be done the way I want them done and not be almost in half an inch thick. read more

Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would! I came in last Friday with a friend asking if they had available time to do two shellac manicures. They said yes and seated us. However, both women were in SUCH a rush, my friend and I were just giving each other surprised looks. They were disrespectfully speaking over us, loudly, the entire time- which isn't a problem with me unless you're completely ignoring the client. At one point, my nail tech grabbed my fingers and was finishing the job STANDING because she was in such a rush! If there was an appointment I didn't know about, we should have been told to wait 25 minutes. We were out of the salon with "manicures" within 7-10 minutes TOPS. They slapped both of our polishes on incredibly fast, the top coat was one messy swipe across each fingernail. There was no nail/ cuticle cleanup whatsoever. I literally had nail polish caked on to my fingertips and the sides of my fingers on my way out the door. Frankly, I was shocked! Come Monday and my nails are already all lifting and peeling (no surprise!). I'm ok with paying $45 for a good manicure, but this unbelievably horrible experience was the WORST $25 I've ever spent. I hope they learn some customer service skills and at least SIT while doing someone's nails. I want my money back but won't ask- because I wouldn't want them redoing them anyway. Horrible nail shop. I came in for a fill and left out with crooked, uneven, bumpy nails. I told the nail tech who did my nails that I was dissatisfied with my nails. Her response was " sorry you don't like your nails but we have a long line of people waiting", indicating that she wouldn't be able to do anything to fix my nails. When I went home I called the manager to let him know of my dissatisfaction. His response was to call back tomorrow because everyone was going home. I called back the next day and another tech answered the phone and told me that the manager was not in today and that they were too busy to help me. Terrible customer service.
