I went to NW Lash and Beauty studio a few months ago to get a lash lift and tint. Shortly after I left my appointment, my lashes started curling inward rapidly to the point it got uncomfortable to close my eyes. When I reached out to Glenda, she told me this was normal. I reached out to other studios and they told me that the wrong rod was used on my eye and I would need to get this relaxed. When I brought that up to Glenda, she told me this is normal (once again) and that this is just how my eyelashes react to this process, but that she could try to make it even. My eyelashes became even more curled and uncomfortable. On top of this, she left the room a number of times while I had the perming solution on my eyes. This made me uncomfortable because I had never had these products on my face and did not know how I would react. I thought this was a normal process, but I have gotten my lashes lifted twice since this service, and each time it has been significantly more comfortable and the results have been better, for over half the price. Glenda is one of the rudest, least professional business owners I have ever had the displeasure of coming in contact with. I'm not a client of hers (Thank God) but I am a client of one of her associates she shares her office with. I recently was in the office and she treated me as well as a child with complete rudeness and the nastiest looks on her face. She is exactly why people are unsure and turned off by med spas and beauty salons etc, which is so sad. Clients should feel welcomed and unjudged as this is a place where clients are vulnerable and wanting and needing a change in their life and this office offers many services here to assist with those exact needs. Went in for a classic set of lashes, unfortunately the lash artist that was suppose to do my lash set had a n emergency! Luckily for me I was able to get squeezed in with Taylor! (I think that was her name) Such a sweet and detailed oriented lash artist! She took her time and made sure I was comfortable! The studio was super cute and everything was cute & pink! Loved the interior decoration and the music! If you're in the Gresham/ Troutdale area I highly recommend going to this place! The hours are 0700-7pm! I called and talked to Glenda to supposedly schedule my first lash appointment and wanted the full service signature lashes for $175. I also asked about their $99 Junior Stylist special. These two services and their corresponding prices are clearly stated on their website. However when I told her I would like the Full service signature lashes, she said the price is $200. When I politely clarified that the website states it is $175 (nowhere in the website did it state a $200 price for the full service signature lashes), she said "Honey the $175 is for the Junior Stylist..takes 3 hours".. "$200 is with me..two hours"..so I asked again to get clarification that it states on their website that the Full set with a Junior Stylist is $99. She quickly responds (again with a "honey")..that $99 price is for a Junior lash artist. When I said I wanted the $175 full service signature lashes..she goes on by asking if I don't want to get it done with her (for $200)? At this point I'm obviously perplexed! I really would like to like to go to her but if I am not getting clear prices for services even for a mere $25 price difference, I know that is not right and decided to not go with her. By the way I found a very professional and excellent ratings lash artist. It would be nice if the prices and descriptions on her website be changed to accurately reflect the prices she gives out to her potential would be customers. Glenda does an amazing job with making sure you are happy with your lashes and has amazing customer service. In addition, the salon is so nice, clean, and modern. I did my initial full set from her after not having extensions for a while and she did them beautifully. After you book the full set and get your lashes done, they give you a little kit at the end of your appointment to help you upkeep your lashes. The prices are very good for the quality of lashes you get. Also, a side note is that the extensions I had from Glenda lasts so long! I live in San Diego, CA but was getting married in Portland. I searched all over SD for someone who could fit me in for lash extensions right before we flew to OR and no one was available in the busy wedding season. I took to Yelp and found Glenda in Portland. Not only did she do a fabulous job but she was also extremely gracious and fit me into her schedule early on in the day. This was my first experience with eyelash extensions and I couldn't have picked someone better if I had tried. Glenda explained everything that she was going to do, made sure I was comfortable, and answered every question I had. As it turns out, I don't do well with people near my eyes. I had a really tough time keeping my eyes open long enough for her to place the gel pads under my eyes. Glenda was extremely patient and spent what probably amounted to an extra 20-30 minutes just making sure we got everything right and correctly in place. She has an extremely serene work space complete with a cozy, formed table and blanket(if needed). With music playing in the background it was the perfect 2 hour nap. Lashes lasted 3ish weeks. I can't rave enough about her work! I received MANY compliments and people could not stop staring at my lashes! Funny enough, I was talking to the girl doing my makeup for my wedding and she loved my lashes. We got to talking and I was raving about Glenda when we put it together that other clients had recommended Glenda to her as well! Long story short, you can't go wrong with Glenda!
