I have never been so happy to write a review. (I actually started a yelp account specifically to write this review, lol.) Earlier this year, I finally upgraded my old droid to a shiny, new iPhone. I loved my new phone, but never being one to take great care of my things, I knew that, in my hands, it was only a matter of time before this delicate device would be dropped, dinged, scratched or otherwise marred. Sure enough, the unthinkable happened this past Saturday afternoon. My phone slipped from my grasp as I walked to my car, and I watched helplessly as it dropped in slow motion the remarkably short distance to the ground, landing face-first on the pavement. Before I even picked it up, I knew....
For the next couple of days, I gingerly carried my poor, broken iPhone in my purse. Every time I looked at the sad, shattered screen and felt the splintered glass crunching beneath the protective film (that could never have saved it from the face-plant onto concrete) I died a little more inside. What in the world was I going to do...?
I began to explore my options: get a new phone? order the parts and attempt to repair it DIY style? (I've heard this could be done, but who was I kidding???) take it a professional? Naturally, I went with the most rational solution: Craigslist, of course! A quick search for iPhone repair turned up an add for iRepairit. Now, you never know what you're going to get on Craigslist, so I did my due diligence checking out the website and Facebook page and making some price comparisons between businesses offering similar services before simply texting "How much to fix a cracked iPhone 4 screen? Thx!" Within 20 minutes or less I received a phone call from Shahzad. He said he could do the repair for a very reasonable/competitive price same day and at my office no less!
This was BY FAR, the most convenient, courteous and professional repair service I've ever witnessed. Shahzad arrived at my office downtown within the hour. He called when he was en route to confirm the color and carrier of my phone and get a description of the building. When he arrived, I showed him to a conference room and handed him my sad phone, and he immediately went to work. Within minutes he had the whole phone disassembled. He worked so quickly and deftly and carried on pleasant conversation the entire time. Before I knew it he had my phone all put back together and handed it back to me so I could admire the shiny new face. He instructed me to test it out, make sure the touch screen and camera work properly, and he explained that he guarantees his repairs for 3 months! He graciously left me a stack of cards (which I've already distributed to friends and coworkers), and he was out the door on his way to doctor countless other maimed iPhones around Atlanta.
I sincerely hope that I don't have to call Shahzad in the next 3 months - or ever really - but if I find myself with a wounded iPhone on my hands again someday, I won't hesitate for a second to call him to the rescue. I can't speak highly enough of Shahzad and iRepairit's outstanding service. read more
