My Samsung GS4 could no longer charge. At first, I took it to a different cell phone repair store. They tested my battery and charging cable and I saw that these weren't the problem. Then, I was told that they didn't have the replacement part the day of and they would need to keep my phone over a day. I attempted to DIY-fix it and stripped one of the screws on the back of my phone. ugh! Good ol' YELP led me to IQ smartphone. IQ is honest and considerate in trying to get your phone back to you ASAP. David even fixed the part that I screwed up and replaced the charging part on my phone. As old as my phone was, you have no idea how grateful I was to at least have a working phone-it didn't matter what generation it was. David was timely and had good communication. First time I went to Staples in Cypress on Katella. Never, ever go there. They try to up sale you. The Screen was $ 139.00 then they convinced me to get a military top coat polymer on the screen that "they" said would not EVER crack, shatter or scratch my screen. So total for this service was $175.00. At the time I just wanted my phone fixed. I use it mainly for photos. I had to wait 5 hours and they said I was the only phone there. The painted/sprayed on screen protector dulled my screen and Imprinted a light and dark pattern. Come to find out they only give a 30 day warranty. Well, my phone slipped out of my hand again, fell 10 inches and hit a box. SHATTERED, again. Plus my VGA was flipping colors all over the place. I looked up on Yelp and these guys were rated awesome. Took my phone in. No up sale, no suggestions of cases or glass covers. $85 and 45 minutes later I walked out of the store with my phone fixed. Fixed with real Apple certified parts. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who had the unfortunate event of breaking their screen. My screen was literally shattered. I was hesitant to come to the shop because I wasn't willing to pay much for my iPhone 6, but they offer a great price. I got mine done for about 70$ + glass screen protector. My daughter shattered her iphone6 2 weeks ago. We went to Cerritos mall, apple store trying to get it fixed. Holy krap they wanted $300 dollars for a new one. Then we went to best buy trying to get it fixed there. They said the same thing. Then last i called my insurance company asurion from at&t. They wanted $230. I dont wanna spend a grip because we are planning to get the iphone8 when it launches in a couple months. One of my buddies told me juss to get it fixed at a repair shop. I never been to one before. So i yelped it and found the best one around with the most stars. It was this place IQ. Scepitical as i am. Why not and give it a try. The man that helped me in the counter was honest and proffesional. He opened the shop 5 years ago and has been repairing phones ever since. Its a super small shop in the cut next to cha2O and vape couture. I never new. I vape and drink bobba too. Lol. He fixed my daughters phone less than an hour! Real cheap too! Warranty for 3 months. phone was working perfect when i took it in except for the front camera. the employee told me to come back in an hour and it will be done. i go back and it was flashing the apple logo nonstop and i could not use my phone what so ever or get back on it. I had to take it to apple where they replaced the whole phone where it was completely destroyed! Just had the battery changed by Ken for $39 on my iphone5 because the old battery was expanding and lifting the screen up. If it kept expanding it would have cracked the screen and LCD digitizer screen causing an expensive repair!!!! got it changed before that happened!!Check the internet for iphone5 expanding battery picture! He did a good job... it looks like new. Krystal who wrote earlier about an outrageous $10 increase in the screen price from a year ago, was wrong!!! I specifically asked him about it and he showed me invoices for an iphone5 screen from a year ago and invoices starting 5 months ago where his vendor almost doubled the price for a replacement screen. Ken adjusts the price when the vendor raises or lowers his replacement parts cost. Since his vendor doubled his price I don't think a $10 increase is unreasonable. He also told me my old Samsung S3 with a cracked screen doesn't need to get repaired since I only use it as a backup when my Iphone 5 battery runs out. Ken didn't try to sell me an unnecessary repair. read more
