Lemongrass Chicken
Cherie F.

Great food, great service. First time at iPho & Grill. My husband and I had vermicelli bowls and my son had lemongrass chicken. Large portions and everything was delicious. Loved the spring rolls which had a unique flair. They brought us soup to sample, also delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Clean and following all Covid protocols. We'll be back for sure.

Super slow service. Placed order and waited 60 minutes for pho's to come out. The place wasn't even busy. If you have an hour to wait before your food comes then this place is ok

Came here on a Saturday around lunch with a group of 6 and got a table right away, seems like the restaurant isn't too busy being so new. The restaurant not to big but SO beautiful. Modern with little hints of Vietnamese culture. However, as a result of its recent opening they didn't have there liquor license (meaning we could not be served liquor) so that was a little upsetting. But they certainly made up for it with the HUGE menu and delicious food. The service was pretty good, nothing out of this world but I have nothing to complain about. We ordered: spring rolls; not a fan of non-veggie spring rolls, but was impressed green onion cakes; i oved them!! dumplings; i don't recommend, they weren't that good, liked the sauce a lot thought, complemented the green onion cakes. #30 beef noodle pho; decent special fried rice; super flavorful beef & black bean sauce; yummy sizzling prawns: not bad, the actually prawns lacked seasoning sizzling chicken cashew; pretty good coconut rice; SO BOMB, completed all the the beef, prawns and chicken sauces. Our bill was about $150! We shared everything so they gave us bowls and plates for the dishes! We also order a bunch of flavors of bubble tea, my favorite was the lychee!! Side note: they carry vegetarian and vegan options so that's a plus :) Overall the service was good and the food was even better. Would totally come back again!

This is the second location for iPho, but separate owners. Price wise, I would say it's more pricier than the average Vietnamese restaurant. At $14.45/$15.45 for a vermicelli bowl, initially my first thought was, nope not coming back here. BUT after picking up the food, I was pleasantly surprised with how much food was included. We ordered the 4 and 5 item vermicelli, and there was a VERY generous amount of meat and a huge spring roll! And the plus was they didn't try to over fill it with bean sprouts to take up space, like many places do. And food tasted good! Overall, a bit pricier, but new and nicely decorated place and good quantity for the price you pay.

This is a newly opened Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered salad roll for the appetizer. I liked the salad roll but nothing special. For the main course we ordered sizzling seafoods and curry prawns. The sauces were a little bit salty for both. But the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The server seemed not enjoying her job though. Never seen her smiling for our entire stay in the restaurant.

Best Pho in Edmonton. Addicted to the spicy beef. Love the deep fried wontons with Vietnamese coffee. Always super friendly. Support local!

However, it can be a challenge to find a parking spot if people are attending church at the time you arrive. My family has been eating here for a few years and I even celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary here. Alex and the rest of the staff ensures all the customers are well taken care of. He had heart balloons and flowers for our table which made the occasion even more special. The food is fabulous, the peaches and shrimp dish is so good as well as the beef with Gai lan and the tofu assorted vegetable hot pot. Noodles and desserts are great as well! We have tried so many dishes here it is hard to name them all. This restaurant is also on SkipTheDishes and with my referral, my office has ordered on several occasions. Everyone was very happy with their lunch choices! Excellent food and service, prices are very reasonable and if this restaurant was closer to my home, we would be eating her all the time!

Huge change from the dark paint and warehouse styling from the previous AYCE sushi place. They have divided the space nicely including a large private room. It also helps that YEG's notorious Boyle St Co-op, formerly next door, has been raised to the ground, thus moving the hardcore zombies a few blocks north. You can actually park your vehicle safely in their free lot now, for up to 2 hours. Security is watching and even checks in with you when you park. As for the food, in my experience it's all been great! The menu is a funny combo of different cuisines, definitely befitting the name "bistro". There are a variety of asian dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), HK-style foods and very traditional western cuisine like beef bourguignon. That one intrigues me, super old school and looks really good. There are also some set menus that come with drinks. It's one of the few places I feel spoiled for interesting selection, hard to make a choice. Chinatown Dining Week has brought me back here three times in as many weeks, got hooked by the beef and sour veg steamed in a lotus wrap. This visit my husband got the gyukatsu set, which was really good if you can live with slightly sweet Glico-style curry. The omurice was perfect. Their katsu particularly is really, really good, better than your average schnitzel, and much cheaper! Have been back a few times and even brought the extended family. There's something for everyone! Everything we've tried has been tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Previously we tried the bistro premium fried rice which had scallops and tobiko, delicious. My food-restricted niece tried the crispy shrimp appy, which were really tasty and more like prawn-size. Not sure she got many back after offering to share with the table. Ah Chinatown. Been coming here my whole life but always get the side-eye, usually from the owner, until ordering. The experience wouldn't be the same without it. The other staff were more genuinely friendly and happy the food was enjoyed. One01Bistro is officially a new family favourite, especially before events at Rogers Place. Psst also... cheap beer.

Also a great place to watch the Oiler playoffs if you are not interested in a noisy pub.

We quickly grabbed a new set where multiple sets were ready for distribution when neccessary. As Asians, we generally wash all of our bowls and utensils prior using as our practice with hot water or tea (depending on what you ask for). Food - 4/5. The chicken casserole was flavourful, just a lot of bones. The beef was very soft and tender. The sweet and sour pork chops had a thick tangy sauce but good that it had a light batter around the meat, which kept the meat moist. The chicken is the typical dish you can get at most Chinese restaurants. It was interesting that it actually sat in a soy sauce base. The ginger sauce is missing the typical green onions. However, it was seasoned quite well. I didn't take a picture of dessert though. It was red bean with glutinous rice sweet soup. I actually quite enjoyed it. Overall: 3.5/5. It's an ok place to try if you are in the area. It's has free parking. Just be vigilent with the bowls and utensils.
