I have two panels that are not working-they need new micro-inverters-and I cannot get them to come out and repair them. Also, the system they installed is too small for my house(how would I know) and now I have to consider installing more panels. My monthly electric bill has doubled since they installed the whole system. I have called and called asking them to please come and service the system. The response I get is they to agree to do it and then promise to call me back with a scheduled time.....and, of course, they never call. The salesman that sold me the system no longer works for Lotus Energy so I am left with an inefficient system and no one accountable. I would advise anyone looking for a solar installation to AVOID LOTUS ENERGY And SOLAR like the plague.

These guys are AMAZING!!…read more We installed solar panels on our home in 2021 and unfortunately the experience turned into a long and frustrating saga. The two companies we originally worked with both went out of business one after the other, leaving us with a system that wasn't working and no one willing to service it. For years I basically had very large, very visible solar panels on my roof that you could probably see from space... producing absolutely zero energy. Thankfully Randall from Restore Roofing connected me with Blake at Florida Solar Contracting, and that changed everything. Blake and his team came out and within about 15 minutes had our solar system up and running and actually producing power again. After years of getting nowhere with other companies, I was honestly shocked at how quickly they diagnosed and fixed the problem. If you need solar panel repair or solar service in Wekiva or the Central Florida area, I highly recommend Florida Solar Contracting. Blake and his crew were punctual, efficient, extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything in terms I could actually understand. They walked me through what was wrong with the system, what they repaired, and what should have been done correctly in the first place. After five years of my solar panels acting more like roof decorations than energy producers, they are finally doing what they were supposed to do. I truly cannot say enough great things about Florida Solar Contracting. Blake and his team were fantastic and reassured me they're always just a phone call away if I ever need help again. Highly recommend them if you need solar panel service, solar troubleshooting, or solar repair in Wekiva and Central Florida.

In July, 2013, Brad from Everything Solar came out to give us an estimate on some solar panels for…read moreour pool. At that time we expected to be replacing our roof in the next few years. Brad told me that when we decided on the roof, the company would come out and take down the solar panels and then replace them once the roof was completed and it would be free of charge. He said they do that as a one time courtesy and that any subsequent roofs we would have to pay. I remember chuckling at that because who replaces their roof every few years? We signed the contract and had the solar panels installed with Everything Solar. The solar panels did not pass inspection by the city and Everything Solar had to come out and put more screws down to secure everything and on the second inspection, it passed. The solar panels worked as expected for the past 9 years. Several months ago, we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of our upstairs bedrooms. We got several roofing companies to come out and assess the problem. The consensus was that it was finally time to replace our 17 year old roof. It lasted longer than I projected back in 2013 so I'm not upset about that. What I am upset about is that the water damage on our ceiling, the roofers and our insurance company concluded was caused by the solar panels coming loose and water getting in through the holes that no longer had screws securing them. The solar panels were not all secured to the trusses as they should have been in the first place. Today we called Everything Solar to talk to them about the one time courtesy removal that Brad promised (apparently just to make the sale) back in 2013. We were fortunate enough to actually get Brad himself on the phone. He claimed that they offer no such thing and he had no idea who would have promised that to us originally. It was you, Brad. You promised that and it was the reason we decided to sign with your company instead of one of the others we received estimates from. We weren't even complaining about the holes in our roof from improper installation, we were only asking for the removal and reinstallation before and after the roof replacement. The way a company treats it's customers after the sale is far more important than the pie-in-the-sky promises they make before the sale. I'm sorry I gave them my business and now that we are looking for additional solar panels once our roof is completed, Everything Solar will not be a consideration. Buyers beware.
