I don't feel very comfortable with DIYing. I noticed a lot of scrap materials for building. I was curious about the cabinetry because I've been wanting some for a useless nook area in my house. Individual cabinets there run about $1500. Though the sticker shock really got us, I still wonder if that was the right price at all. I think new items at Home Depot cost less than that. If I had a rental home maybe some of the materials might be worth it. They have some very decent looking countertop materials. We decided there wasn't anything we could use here at the time.
