Where do I begin, Massage therapist was very inexperienced or did not care. She did not have the ability to use her hands in a skillful way, nor did she have the stamina and did not know how to compensate. She would apply pressure to my spine and shoulder bone, it was very painful. She was nervous, full of anxiety and her entire demeanor was off, she did not create a relaxing atmosphere. The room was COLD, OLD and not inviting. The floor had very small tiles and the therapist kept scraping the chair across the floor, which caused a loud, screeching, high noise that was unpleasant to hear, especially during a massage. Been here a few times over the years, I just like their aesthetics it is very relaxing. Services does vary depending on who you get, I would say it's 50/50. Front desk service isn't that great though and always off putting, either rude like you're a burden being there or they try to get you to buy something before leaving. I called to see if there was any availability today and was responded with we don't do walk ins you would have to make a reservation, like obviously that was what I was asking. My facial went well but towards the end I felt very uncomfortable when paying. They seemed bothered that I didn't have a cash tip and not wanting to buy products. I didn't like that. Unfortunately I just found out her time at the International Day Spa is ending so today was likely my last massage from her! (Wish I could find out where she is going). Cute and calming space. I thoroughly enjoyed my deep tissue massage with Amanda today. As I walked in I was greeted by two front desk representatives. They offered me a complimentary foot soak with the choice of an essential oil and heated neck thing. Amanda checked in with me throughout the massage. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. As soon as you walk into this establishment you feel welcomed. It's serene and peaceful. The staff is very accommodating and attentive. The services (facial and massage) were great. The quiet room is a bit awkward. It's like a lobby but at the same time people are trying to soak feet and relax. The front desk lady (red head strawberry hair color) presented a bit short and dry. When I was looking around she kept eye ballin me. At one point they were gossiping whispering. The faces that they had as they walked people to the quiet room said it all. I heard how they responded to other guests. The esthetician and massage therapist were great. It's the front desk that needs a bit more training on customer service. Some people have accents or not comfortable with certain things. A cultural training is a must. Just had a massage in this spa and was very poor. I booked a 45 min massage because they were all booked for more time. The therapist says that would be lower or upper body not whole body for 45 min. So I decided to do upper body and she told that she would do feet, but didn't. She was like 10-20 min on my face , and started to pull my ears and I told her to stop. She did shoulders and back but very little, never did feet like she mentioned. Worst Massage ever. Yesterday I had a facial and I liked and tip well. Today I have no reason to tip. Terrible cancellation policy! I just arrived for my scheduled massage to find that my masseuse had called off. Staff indicated they had been trying to get a hold of me, but I received no phone calls from International Day Spa and no voicemail. They were going to charge me if I canceled the appointment with less than 24 hours notice. I should be reimbursed or comped when they cancel the appointment with less than 24 hour notice!!! A new favorite ! I'm not sure how I've lived in redlands for 4 years and not visited this awesome day spa. All the little touches like warm foot soak and warm neck wrap when arrive is worth checking in 15 min early !!! Had salt stone massage and light skim facial. Both were very good and even better than some past experiences with much more expensive spas. The staff were spectacular - my apologies for not remembering the welcome desk persons name and young staffer with the welcome soak and neck wrap. It was my first massage ever so I was afraid to get the deep tissue massage and was mainly booking due to my shoulder having a lot of pain so I went with the therapeutic massage because it sounded like it was a good mix of both and would be more focused. It was very calming and relaxing and the girl was so sweet but I will say it felt mostly like a gentle massage and minimal time was spent in area requested although I thought thats where more time would be since that's how it's described on the website. Id say skip the extra money for the "therapeutic" and either do Swedish or deep tissue. This place is inconsistent. They treat their loyal customers badly. I called today to reschedule my appointment from 10/15 to 11/20. I am use to a credit card in file, but today they wanted me to prepay in advance. I refuse to do that as I am often given gift cards and I gave more than sufficient notice to change it. My friend had a bad experience as well. She went to get her eyebrows done and was treated badly because she chose to wear her mask. It is too bad International does not value their customers. My mom, sisters, and I have been coming here for possibly almost 10 years now, about 2-3x a year. I have to say, that ever since Mimi Barre retired, Intl Day Spa hasn't been quite the same. While it still has its country shabby chic comfort set in a Victorian cottage, there are some things- which I can't quite put my finger on- that feel different. Maybe it's the price hikes on services, or that one hardly ever sees the same massage therapist more than once (do they have high turnover?), or that their front desk ladies aren't as nice as they used to be, or that their gift card account system doesn't make it easy to see how much you actually have in your account (to be fair- it's Always been like this) I'm not sure! I can attest to management being on top of customer satisfaction. After having a not so great experience and reviewing it on my Instagram, Corri, the new owner, reached out to me, which was nice. While I started off at Int'l Day Spa with specialized Murad facials, I quickly moved onto deep tissue massages. This is where it gets kind of tricky as "deep" tissue can mean something different to everyone. As I mentioned above, I just about never get the same massage therapist more than once so it's always a gamble at how it's going to be. My last appt was a bit on the gentle side, while one before just about killed me. So, communication is key. *Side note* My mother Loves to go to Daniela for deep tissue. If you arrive 30 mins before your appointment, you can take advantage of the steam room (my favorite!) or foot soak for free. The waiting area has comfy couches, and little snacks like pretzels and tea. The front room has an area with tons of skincare (Murad and I believe NuFace as well), lots of bath and body items as well as other goodies like handmade deodorants and candles and lotions from local Redlands merchants. There are lots of pre-made gift sets and they do also carry stuff for men. Gift cards are also sold here, just make sure not to lose them! They do also accept SpaWish/SpaFinder gift cards. While I feel like it's sometimes hit-or-near miss, would suggest trying this place at least twice (once for massage, once for facial) if you prefer more of a warm and cozy experience as opposed to a bright and sterile experience other chain massage places tend to have. read more

I booked a package that was $215 not including tip; the reviews are good, this was a gift; usually I am gifted a glen ivy card but I couldn't make the trip to glen Ivy so my MIL got me a local card. I wanted a massage, scrub and facial...ok, got the mud and scrub, the facial (I've had at least 25 in my life time) was a "scrub, cleanser and moisturizer" but she forgot the moisturizer, so she put the massage lotion on my face which is lanolin; I paid for a facial, the last facial I had before this at another spa was a full on scalp massage, hair treatment and amazing facial not a half ass scrub which I do at home once a week, cleanse which I do daily and a lanolin "moisturizer" which is massage oil, my skin felt like shit. Sure the body masque and scrub were good, massage, meh, not great and facial a complete rip off. read more

I have been going on a monthly basis for a 90 minute massage. My massage therapist is amazing. Today they scheduled a tub therapy session right next to my massage. So about 20 minutes into my massage I hear a tub being filled at full blast, then talking then the jets running for the remainder of the massage. It was so loud you could not hear the soft relaxing music in my room. I could not relax and it interrupted my massage. When I talked to the front desk the attitude was we will note this on your file to not schedule you in the room. No apology it was just they had to "accommodate their appointments", they didn't even ask me if I wanted to make an appointment for next month. I have been going here for years. Poor treatment of a regular client and I have many friends and coworkers that I have referred here. Not any more. read more
