I have been coming to Renew in Redlands for years for my waxing needs, and Kim is truly amazing. She is funny, kind, patient, and makes you feel completely at ease. I was pretty nervous my first visit because I didn't know what to expect, but here I am 10 years later and still a loyal client. In addition to waxing, I've also had facials with Kim, and they were absolutely amazing, relaxing, thorough, and my skin always feels great afterward. She is always professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her clients. If you're looking for a fabulous esthetician you can trust for waxing, facials, or skincare in general, Kim is it! read more

I found Renew Face & Body on Facebook. I looked her up on yelp, sent a text message. I got a response within the hour and lucky me I got the last appointment of the day. Kim is amazing!! I enjoyed my facial!! Kim went over the facial with me and we talked after and I already booked my second appointment in 3 weeks. Very happy with the service. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Kim! read more

I got a Groupon deal for microdermabrasion. Called so many times and left a voicemail then I finally emailed them saying I've been calling to make an appointment for microdermabrasion, they did email me back asking me what kind of appointment I would want to make? Hello? Aren't you reading the subject and body of the email? MICRODERMABRASION or you just didn't care to read it? I emailed them back saying what kind of appointment I am trying to set. They never emailed me back or called me back. This is way back in August 25. What is now? Sept 20. 1 month with no reply is very unprofessional. If you can't accommodate people, why sell on Groupon then? Bad business all over. I finally called Groupon to just cancel my order. I don't recommend this place at all. Attached is the email exchange. read more

(To be fair, if they actually call me back today to honor my groupon deal, that was purchased & given to me back in May, and extend the expiration date, I will gladly edit my rating...) I have not been able to make an appt using the Mother's Day gift my son gave me back in May. The groupon expires tomorrow. I just left another message this morning. Maybe they didn't expect that so many people use groupons and/or are simply overwhelmed by the responses they have received... Maybe they have been short-staffed to take on the groupon deals they have offered or continue to offer... Either way, it would be nice if they realize the problem, and show that they are sincerely willing to fix the problem. These other upset customers would not have given them bad ratings like I am giving if this business was trying to make it right for all. Too bad. Be aware, people! :/ read more

Unprofessional- don't waste your time or money. A family member purchased gift certificates as a Christmas present for all three of us girls and the funny thing is we can't even use them. When calling to make an appointment in June, they don't answer the phone. They have a recording that says we are now booking up until September. I thought no big deal, September isn't that far away. So I send a text message and got my appointment booked. I told my family member about my appointment and she wanted to use her certificate and get her massage with me so I tried to see if they could reschedule my appointment so we can book ours together. The person replies to my text message "that would have to be in October" I reply, that sounds perfect. The person never texts back to confirm a date nor time. I feel bad for my family member for wasting his money on certificates we can't redeem. Unprofessional and inconvenient. A business that uses text messages as a form of communication with their customers. read more

I had a really good hot stone/swedish massage here. Pretty nice place. A little hard to find as it is in a shopping center. I would definitely recommend. read more

Tucked away in a downstairs corner of the same building that houses the restaurant Caprice, this quiet spa offers a variety of services including massages and facials. I opted for a Groupon deal for a 75 min hot stone massage. Nicole was very sweet and did exactly what I asked for---she really made thorough use of the allotted time and targeted my problem areas. I actually dozed off for a bit! The spa itself was clean and has a soothing aura. What would have made this a 5 star experience: while I appreciate that Nicole was quiet (I'm not the type that needs my masseuse to make constant small talk with me), I do wish that she had asked me a few more questions in the beginning such as "Is this pressure comfortable for you?" or "is the temperature of the room good?" And while she was performing the massage it would have been nice to hear "I'm about to lay this hot stone on your back" or "Let's turn your head to this side" instead of just taking my head and moving it. I also would have liked to know what type of body oil was used. A towel wrap or headband of sorts to keep the oil off my hair, and a warm wet towel at the end to remove excess oil would have been helpful. I left feeling relaxed but rather sticky. Anything I asked Nicole to adjust, she seemed more than happy to do so I would just suggest speaking up more. At the price I paid for the Groupon, I am satisfied with my experience, however I would probably have rated this 3 stars if I had paid full price. read more

I used a Groupon to try out this spa for the first time. I was very impressed with the services! Kim the owner did my 60 Minute facial and she was thorough and very knowledgable! It was relaxing and when she was done my skin felt amazing! Then I had a 30 min massage with Rebecca and she made those 30 mins count! She focused on the areas I asked her to without making the massage too painful. I would highly recommend making an appointment with Kim or Rebecca! read more

Really disappointed in the customer service, but the massage therapists do a good job. My boyfriend and I each bought groupons for three massages. I booked them for the same time, and with two female massage therapists, each time. The first two massages went great, but the third one was a disaster. I booked it in person, and wrote the time in my appointment book that I had, right there. The receptionist also told us that we were booked with two female therapists. Now, the two previous times, my bf and I each got a reminder text with the time and name of the massage therapist. For the last massage, only I got a text, it it said my appointment was 15 minutes earlier than I had booked. My bf and I arrived, and the receptionist told us that my bf's appointment was at the original time I had booked, but mine was 15 min earlier, and she didn't know how it had happened. I went in for my massage, and my bf waited. I got undressed and was lying on the table, waiting for my massage, when my therapist came in and said that there had been a miscommunication, and my boyfriend was booked with a male therapist, but he was uncomfortable. I immediately offered to trade therapists, and got dressed. Once I got to the hallway, my therapist now told me that my bf was angry, and didn't want to switch. I then went to the waiting area and my bf told me that he had told both therapists that he was going to re-book and wait for me while I got my massage, and it upset him that I had been bothered after he told them that. Also, the receptionist refused to admit she had messed up our appointments, failed to apologize, and was trying to argue with him while she was on the phone with someone else. At that point, I was too stressed out to get undressed again and get a massage,. I handed the therapist a $20 tip and told her I was leaving. She then asked me not to be mad at the receptionist, because she had only been there three months and the job was overwhelming. At this point, I'm upset that my bf and I each paid for a massage that we didn't get, and I gave a $20 tip on top of that. I don't understand why I was disturbed from my massage, when my bf had already told them he was going to re-book. Neither of us want to return there and deal with that receptionist again. She messed up our appointments and failed to apologize. She's bad for that business. read more

I just have to say, Amy is the best! This has to be one of the best massages I have ever received! I walked out with body tingles all over. Literally from the top of my head, to the end of my nose, to the tips of my toes! The shop is tucked neatly away underneath the hustle and bustle of downtown Redlands, so it feels like a quiet, secret spot. Everyone talks with their "spa voices", oh so calming to this mother of two boys' nerves. Amy's room was warm, relaxing and comfortable, as every massage room should be, but Amy is what made this experience truly great and the reason for the 5 stars. From how calmly she speaks, to how well she takes in to account your concerns and areas of "focus". I truly did not want to leave. After she was done, I wanted to curl up and go to sleep. As it was, I think I dozed in and out through the last 15 minutes. She assured me, I did not snore. read more

I got a groupon for 75 minute hot stone massage, I called and they told me the next available one they have is not until september! Got my groupon in Early June and it expires in October. First of all I think its ridiculous that they would sell on groupon and the service is not available till 3 mos later. read more

I purchased a Groupon which it states you have to make an appointment but they literally never answer the phone. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I've read other reviewers who are having the same problem. Don't offer the Groupon if you don't want people to purchase your services at a discounted rate. read more

I have been here once for a massage I believe it was still when Amy worked here. anyways, thankfully Groupon lets you trade in now because I spent months trying to call and make an appointment with NO answer! Who does that? If you don't want new customers through Groupon maybe don't be on Groupon. I always try and shop local but I'll never give his place my business. read more

Do not get a groupon from this place! For one, they don't answer their phone so its impossible to get an appointment conveniently. I had to show up in person after I purchased the groupon deal and they said they were booked up until end of May. Again, do not use their services and definitely don't buy their groupon deal read more

OK FIRST OF ALL!!! for those people who kept saying they're bogus! they're not!! i admit i did called them, all i get is a voicemail but they would usually call back or leave a voicemail if you dont pick up. ON A DIFFERENT NUMBER!! i happened to get their deals from groupon for a half price! so you get what you pay for!! ok my schedule are always booked! but when i called the first time, i didnt expect them to call me right away, i managed to confirm an appointment on a monday! after calling on a thursday.. (on that following week) btw they called me on friday... it was good, i filled out some papers before my massage, then when i was placed in a room, the person who was giving you the massage, will ask you which parts of your body are aching, i told them everywhere lol so she did her magic!! it felt really good afterwards but the next day i felt like i got run over by a bus.. but it was expected. I forgot who gave me a massage, it must be Natalie or Naomi?.. i'm sorry if i forgot the name.. but i really enjoyed it! it was a 75 minute deep tissue massage. the room temperature wasnt that cold, cuz it was really warm outside. the music is very gentle and relaxing, the only thing that bothered me is that, my allergies were acting up so my nose are clogged while laying down. after that, i thought that i should have another massage again next month. then on my 2nd purchase from groupon, i called again for an appointment, but the next time i spoke to them, they were booked until july!! i mean wtf!?!? why was i able to get an appointment so fast at that time?? then now i have to wait until 2 months??? (-_____-) ok there's nothing i can do, i mean i already paid for my groupon, so i just booked my next appt on july unless someone cancels. so thats 1 star off. i guess this place is just a hit or miss. it was located in downtown redlands, i got lost looking for the place at first, but it was kinda hidden, just always pay attention to the #s, bec. there wasnt any name on the store, bec. it was inside the building! read more

I had an amazing experience with my masseuse-REBECCA! I highly recommend her! I will say that I've been exposed to many different massage therapists since 2007 but I have to say Rebecca is by far thee best. She simply knows what she's doing... And I felt like she gave me a lil lagniappe at the end... I would have been content with my back massage but she spent another 20 minutes focusing in the tense areas of my shoulder and neck as I verbalized to her that I've been under a lot of stress lately! Plus this place will surprise you coz the outside appears unassuming (it's located in cute DT Redlands) but the beds and the inside is serene and just pure. I loved it... I've had a membership at Massage envy for a year, which by the way the worst place I've ever gotten massages aka back rubs which anyone can easily administer... read more

I had the worst massage I have ever had in my life here. I even told the front desk and they reassured me that the owner will call me and I never heard anything back. I am so glad I did not pay full price on this massage, it wasn't even worth the money I did pay. I waited to write this review thinking someone would call me back so I can tell them about my experience and nothing. I think the poor gal was new and when I kept telling her I need a massage not a rub down she didn't understand. I definitely do not recommend this place. Sad part is I bought a massage for my husband to go as well........ read more

I found Amy through a Groupon deal, and she has made my first-ever massage experience AWESOME! She is very warm and personable, and attentive to my needs. The ambiance and her hands were so soothing and relaxing and the massage table was so comfortable that I pretty much fell asleep. I highly recommend her, and I look forward to seeing her again! I'd have to say by far this has been the best experience at any spa. Booking an appointment was easy and they were very friendly over the phone but they are even more friendly in person. I got a groupon for my momand myself, and it was worth it! Cute place, hidden gem in downtown redlands. Downstairs in building 104, it was a bit tricky to find but we came on busy Saturday when there was a farmers market going on in town. Maria (gave the massage) and Kim (gave the facial) were both so friendly and fun to talk with. They did such a wonderful job on both my mom and myself. Very relaxing, thank you ladies! We will be back to used our other vouchers we purchased. 2-one hour services for $99 but hurry it ends on mothers day! read more

I love this place! I first got a groupon to come here for a 90 minute deep tissue massage and that's how I discovered them and then I just continued to come here because I fell so deep in love. I have now gotten the microdermabrasion with there special of 2 services for $129. My face feels amazing and my skin is looking so radiant and I could not be happier! The atmosphere is so relaxing and all of the wonderful workers know what they are talking about and are very friendly. Renew face and body is the adult disneyland for women in my opinion (and men). They even do botox and fillers! :) read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE Amy is AMAZING! It's a very calm, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere at Renew Face and Body. Everyone greets me immediately, and they always offer a glass of water. I've now had three massages by Amy, and she literally goes to every spot I'm having trouble with, and it's perfect! Nice, soothing sounds during the massage, bed is heated, and the hot stones are a must! Just do it. Add the hot stones. So once again, I'm a happy camper. I fell for their scam of the package deal last year which makes each massage $50. It's been over a year and every time I try to make an appointment they claim that they are booked 2+months in advance. I don't know about other customers, but I don't know my schedule 2 months in advance. When I call other places I can book my massage within two weeks. This business is shady, they get your money but make it extremely difficult to make an appointment and eventually people give up and go to other places and they keep your money. Save yourself the headache and pay the extra $30 and go to another massage spa. This place is not worth it. read more

Had an appointment with Amy today after purchasing a Groupon for a 90 minute Swedish massage/body scrub/facial combo several months ago. She has such a welcoming warm energy about her that I felt immediately at ease. Sometimes there can be a little bit of awkwardness when you first meet a massage therapist, but none of that with her. Her room was cozy and relaxing and fit perfectly with her demeanor. She has a firm but gentle touch and I really couldn't say which part of the experience I enjoyed the most. I really loved that she used lotions and scrubs infused with essential oils too. The whole visit was wonderful from start to finish. My skin feels so soft from the body scrub and the moisturizers and my entire body was happy and relaxed when I walked out the door. I really did feel renewed after my appointment and I'd like to return for a hot stone massage sometime very soon! Thanks Amy! read more
