Things I loved about the Grand: - Easy parking within a block (or two) via street and dirt lots. All of it was free parking. - Not fighting huge traffic other than I-580-EB on an evening. - Along a really cute downtown area that was about 3-4 blocks by 3 blocks. - Cheap snacks at the Grand that included beer on tap, wine, sodas, bottled water, candy, and nuts, all of which was very inexpensive by comparison to the Orpheum in SF. (Water, soda - $3; candy - $3; most alcoholic beverages were $6-9, IIRC.) - All great seating once you get inside. I didn't feel like there was a bad seat in the house. - Beautiful interior, just as ornate as The Orpheum. - Awesome lighting and sound, unlike the Golden Gate Theater, which has had terrible sound in the last two years. - Not a huge line to get to the restroom. - A space indoors for merch sales, for groups like All-4-One that choose to sell things. Our initial intention was to teach our children perseverance and not easily giving up in the process of learning ballet. We wanted them to stand tall and not hunch when they're on their feet. Under the dedicated guidance of Mrs. Chris for over a year, their ballet skills have made significant improvements. They can confidently perform the learned dance steps in the recital which held every six months. As parents, this makes us incredibly proud.

They help keep people off the streets and gives people some basic human needs and they need a lot of help. The ladies at this store give a warm greeting and a smile to boot, every time I come in. I know one thing all of these awesome ladies are volunteering their own time, I would have never thought this seeing how much and how hard they work. They also have killer deals on stuff you would have paid 3 or 4 times the price. So these girls work their tails off and expect nothing in return but to maybe shut the damn door after you come in its not a barn lol.
