This is one of the only party supplies stores in the area, and are still limited hours due to COVID. I was excited to get my coworkers a ballon bouquet for a special occasion only to find out they they close at 2pm. I took away two stars for being a bit pricey and for not asking me if I needed help when I came to the store . Yup, I just became a fan! I was looking for #1 balloons so I can use it as part of my Paratrooper Costume last Halloween. I wasn't expecting it but they actually tied all the balloons for me. I recently visited their rental location and party supply store. The rental portion was so smooth. I came in told them what I need and was in and out in 5 minutes. When we came to pick up and then to drop off the tables and chairs the people were so friendly and helpful. The party supply store is okay. This place is a NIGHTMARE!!!! Party planners stay FAR AWAY!!! Where do I begin? My husband and I rented some tables and chairs for our wedding reception that was held on a sunday, since they aren't open sundays, we picked them up the saturday before & were supposed to return them the monday after. Well, we didn't feel like renting a truck just to return the equipment so we called them and said we'd pay the $30 to have them come get it. They said they'd pick it up Monday night. They didn't. Then they said they'd pick it up Tuesday. When they didn't, we called wednesday. They said sorry, we'll do it today. Nope. Then thursday, you get it by now i'm sure. So the party warehouse (actually Garrett) tells him he won't have to pay for pick-up since it's taking so long & he calls every morning, and every morning they say they'll pick it up, but they won't. So that sounds fair, and we're expecting them to get it Friday. (WHY we still keep believing them, I cannot explain) So then finally it's flippin SATURDAY and he calls them and talks to the owner. The owner apologizes and says he'll have his other store (on West 11th- don't go to that one either!!!!) call him and straighten it out. So they call him & ask for a credit card. Um.... hello you said he wouldn't be charged!?!? So they give him all sorts of attitude, and lie and pretend they never said that. So my husband is so fed up, he's like, F*** it, let them charge me, I would pay the $30 just to NEVER DEAL WITH THIS PLACE AGAIN! But I'm like no, that's not right, let me call the owner, I'll just explain the situation and he'll understand and do the right thing. HA. HA. HA. Why I keep thinking people are fair I will never understand. So I talk to Mark, the owner, and then I understand why the employees don't treat their customers with any respect- because when the village is run by an idiot- the rest can't help but follow. This freaking guy!!! He was saying to me "well you're telling me one thing and my staff is telling me another" um....WHAT????? Sooooo you're pretty much saying you don't believe me? So here I am, trying to explain to him what happened, thinking he'll understand and be apologetic, and here he is, not really listening, calling me a liar, and being a jackass. HA! Where did you learn customer service buddy? Chico community college?? He's like "SORRY my driver's wife was in the hospital yesterday, SORRY I had to do the drives myself" (imagine some jackass talking with a ton of attitude and a stick up his rear end). Um, hello? What about the other FIVE FRIGGIN DAYS????? It was never about the money, and that's what I told him, I said I just want you guys to be aware of this situation and how ridiculous it is. I am new to Tracy (lived here since October) and live 3 blocks away from this store. I have now been here twice, once for my oldest sons 18th birthday and tonight for my other sons 16th birthday. I came here because it is the only party store in Tracy. During my last visit I did find that it has many custom party supplies which I was pleased with as Tracy has nothing else to choose from. (thus the 1 star) Tonight I decided at the last minute to head down to the store to surprise my son with a balloon when he woke up in the morning. I worked at home all day and quickly freshened up before heading down to the store. This may not mean anything at the moment but when I tell you about what happened it will. I walked into the store and spoke with the gentleman at the register about the balloon. I then told him that I was going to grab some 16 year old party supplies as well while he blew up the balloon. I walked to the back and walked by a woman who also works there (or owns the shop). This woman then proceeds to tell the male worker (as if I cannot hear her) that I smell like Vic's vapor rub. No woman, it is the super strong listerine that my son picked out AND it is beyond rude to talk about your customers like they cannot hear you! I am in Human Resources for a very large retail store and this is something that I would never accept from my teenage employees much less a grown woman. Further, I smile at everyone whom I come into contact with and this has really made me pretty sad as I see my sons 16th Birthday as pretty special and now I keep the memory of a nasty woman talking about me as if I don't exist. What makes me even more upset is that I didn't say anything while I was there. Watch out small family store! With that type of customer service the Party City's of America will run you out of business when they show up in Tracy. Also, super small and cramped! Somebody try to steal my mojo today. Getting ready for New Year's Eve I went to this place- all the merchandise look so old and damage. You get better options in Dollar Tree and people are definitely more friendly. The people which work in the store and the rentals are super rude. The owners always looking for the most mean, rude and depressing people to work there. That was my last visit to that horrible and depressing place. Woke up in a very good mood, and called around for an open party supply store because it is memorial day weekend. Found this place and the gentleman i spoke with on the phone was very friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable. So i headed in right away and a young woman helped me out politely, however that quickly escalated when Lisa comes out of nowhere and fills my visit with negativity. The young lady was doing just fine and needed no extra help. There was two very capable you nfl men within 5 feet to offer any help she might have needed. Uninvited Lisa joined our dialogue, She was rude unhelpful and just plain miserable. It reminds me when I run across people like Lisa that there is people that just dont undersatnd how to win a life long customer. Or any customer service at all. I really dont care to pay a few extra dollars more at a local family owned bussiness as long as I am treated well. Unfortunately I don't think anyone that runs into Lisa will ever get that treatment. Do yourself a favor avoid coming here. There is a few other stores within 2 miles of this location. One star, because the young lady and two young men were really friendly and deserve a lot more. I have been going to The Party Warehouse for several years, it has a great supply of cake decorating items available and the staff is always pleasant and helpful, lots of party supplies and the best ballon bouquets in town. I highly suggest visiting this store if your new to the area. read more

Just for the record, I was shocked to read Anna Y's rambling and quite personal attack on the Party Warehouse folks. I asked owner Mark what happened and he had a simple explanation. Although Anna Y and her husband were repeately given the correct number to call, they kept calling the wrong number and the wrong store when trying to arrange for the rented merchandise to be picked up. The staff in the retail store mistook the pickup to be something small like a helium tank since that's all they rent and tried to arrange a pickup not realizing it took a much larger truck to handle the large volume of tables and chairs that was actually rented from the warehouse location, not the store. Sounds to me like some short tempered customers were causing their own problems and blaming Mark and his staff. I have always found them to be responsible and conscientious people, providing a high quality service. read more
