My fiancé and I went on a Wednesday and had excellent service. Our food was good and fresh. The workers made us laugh and provided a incredible environment. Highly recommended getting a shake. Also their single burger with bacon slaps!

The food was amazing! I ordered the Home World Burger and the Fries, almost like a build your own type of ordeal! Home World Double Burger: This burger was very good. Very well cooked and cooked thoroughly! Also, the secret sauce reminds you of a BigMac sauce from McDonalds but the guy told me that it tasted like that and it did. I couldn't taste too much of it, which was nice! Perfect balance. I added bacon to it, just because I love bacon and it made it even more tasty! Fries: Crispy, not burnt! They remind you of Chick-Fil-A waffle fries, just better with all the toppings you add. This place is located within a Food Hall at the City Foundry in St. Louis, so I'm sure it is usually busy but we went on a snowy Friday afternoon and not many people were there! The service was great! The people there were really nice, patient and understanding! I was wondering what the difference was between the single and the double and the guy let me watch and order that was being made to help me determine which one I would want to order. Overall, great experience and great food! Especially the burgers!

Very friendly service at this spot in the Foundry food court. Pretty quick preparation as well! Plenty of tables all around with music overhead. I got a pretty standard cheeseburger and their cheese fries. Very large, juicy burger. It was perfect. The fries were absolutely incredible. Real crispy, seasoned waffle fries with creamy cheese to top them. Would certainly recommend!

For somebody who frequents the Foundry as often as I do, I haven't made it to Intergalactic until now. I'll make sure to stop by more regularly in the future. While the line to order moves a bit slow (it's one of the more popular booths here), once I ordered it was only about 5 minutes until my order was ready. I tried building my own burger, and it hit the spot. The patties are thick and it comes on a nice toasted bun. The waffle fries are one of the best values at the Foundry, only $6 for a huge plate of fries with a delicious cheese sauce on top. I can eat a lot, and my meal still filled me up.

This was one of my go to spots when I lived in St. Louis! I love their build your own fries. I get them with cheese sauce and bacon and this time I added goat cheese for fun but it didn't make much of a difference. It it a fun spot in the Foundry and it is typically pretty quick.

Yesterday I visited the City Foundry food hall for the first time, and it was a tough decision deciding on which place to eat at. I settled on something simple and Americana, which is where Intergalactic came in. See, they specialize in diner food. They have plenty of specialty burgers, fries and milkshakes. I had the Supernova burger which I believe is their spiciest. It had pepperjack cheese and lots of jalapenos on top. Their Wookiee fries had garlic and grilled onions as well as a load of cheese sauce on waffle fries. Did not get a shake but got a soda bottle. Yes, it was pricey, but you gotta keep in mind that they are all renting out the space inside the newly refurbished Foundry. But I feel like I got my money's worth because the meal was very filling and they definitely hooked me up on the fries. Recommended!

This place is open now and I'm so pleased. I had a build-your-own order of waffle fries. Some of the toppings are pretty neat. Feta. Guac. Avocado. Those are $2 toppings. There are also $1 toppings and free toppings. The ratio of toppings to fries was decent, but I should have spread them out more because I had too many fries and too little topping at the end of the basket. One basket is sharable as an app or works as an entree. Glad I didn't order anything else. The employee forgot to add my avocado but gave it to me when I asked for it. Well, now I'm hungry again.

Home world burger and planetary fries

Stopped in for dinner after work today, I got the home world burger (cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, special sauce) and planetary fries (waffle cheese fries with green onion). I barely had to wait for my food. The burger was delicious, super juicy with the perfect ratio of toppings, meat, and bread! I might have loved the fries more though.. the cheese sauce they have is to die for. Portions are great, I paid less than $20 and I'm going to get two meals out of this. I'll definitely be back!

This spot opened up last week at the city foundry. Specializing in burgers, fries and shakes(they haven't implemented the shakes just yet) towards their menu. The concept is really nice. The food items are names from different outer space names like super nova and Big Bang. I got the Event Horizon burger which come with two burgers topped with cheddar cheese, spicy chili and diced white and green onions. I also grabbed the Rocket Fuel fries which comes with the spicy chili cheese sauce, sour cream and green onions. I thought the whole meal was great. They didn't overcook the meat and came out to be a medium. Only thing now to set this place atop is when they bring on the shakes!!

Nobody had a drink they didn't like! The LA vibe does come with the LA price though....whenever I pay over like $12 for a cocktail in STL I cringe a little bit. I'm a bit torn on the food. Best deviled eggs I've had in my life, and the Brussels sprouts caesar was lovely. The poutine was also super yummy. My Cuban sandwich was fine, as were the onion rings. They had a great crunch, but the onion on the inside was very thin. Plus a $2 up charge for 4 onion rings was a bit much, I thought. I wanted an entree they ran out of, so I could have just been tainted by that. Nothing was bad by any means! Dessert was good. We opted for cookies for easy sharing, and we liked them! Get the cookie dough ice cream with them. It was loaded with cookie dough. I'm excited to try them again, and hopefully get the entree I wanted! They also have a pretty good happy hour it seems.

We were initially seated in the side room with a large industrial fan blowing so hard that it was moving the menus off the table. We waited for the waitress to return so we could request a different table, but she never came back, so we moved ourselves to another empty table away from the fan. She seemed unhappy about the move and told us we might have to relocate again because they were expecting a busy day. Honestly, the restaurant was empty, and we would have been finished long before any rush started -- which we were. I asked for ketchup with my burger, and it didn't arrive until after I had already finished eating. Overall, the service was very poor. Unfortunately, the food was also extremely salty -- and we're people who normally enjoy salt. I had the Farmhouse Burger with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese, while my wife ordered the steak and fries cooked medium well. The steak came out medium rare, and both her fries and my burger and Brussels sprouts were overly salted. The one bright spot was the mac and cheese, which we took to go. My daughter tried some and said it was the best she'd ever had. To top it off, our bill came to an even $100 with tip, and all we had were waters and the items mentioned above. We had been wanting to try Retreat for quite a while, so this experience was very disappointing. Between the poor service and underwhelming food, we probably won't be coming back.

I recently stopped by after an appointment in STL. It was right at lunch time and it was also, opening day for the Cardinals. So when I entered, the line to order was already long. I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. That's right, no standing in line to order, you can go straight to the bar. Great staff. They all hustle and provide friendly and professional service.

The worst aspect is the ventilation which needs much work. We came out smelling so greasy and smokey. We seated ourselves and waited a minute for our waitress to assist us. She also didn't know how to make a drink, with that being the case why are you allowed to make any cocktails. If you have a limited cocktail menu but an extensive bar selection you would think their cocktail specials were on point. Nooooo. The BF tried a margarita special and it was awful. I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.
