We had an amazing stay here a few weeks ago on September 14. From the time that our car was collected in front of the hotel to meeting Leo at the front desk who promptly upgraded us to a corner suite facing the harbor, and the size of the room was 1200 ft.². We had two bathrooms lol. The room was epic, we had fantastic Room service for breakfast. We did see the club lounge on the 12th floor, but we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the 10th floor and the views were absolutely spectacular of the harbor and it was so nice to have a corner room so you could see from either side. We will absolutely be back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here back on May for our anniversary. Although the weather didn't cooperate we still had an amazing time!! Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful, rooms were big and beds were so comfy!! We had a nice view of the Boston tea party ship. Walking distance to the seaport and James Hook for yummy lobster rolls. We added the daily breakfast and happy hour buffet for an extra fee and the gentleman in charge of it I think he was Indian, forget his name, he was so nice and helpful!! He recommended some stuff for us to do like the Isabelle Stewart Gardner museum-we loved it! Highly recommend. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back, we loved Boston!!

Another incredible staycation at the Intercontinental! This time, I booked a massage and was able to enjoy the facilities.

Great location near Chinatown and central Downtown boston but a bit of a walk from the old town/Hynes convention area. The hotel Is quiet and very well maintained as it was recently renovated. The staff are wonderful. The beds are comfortable but not necessarily plush. It was odd to me that there were no nespresso machines in the room or tea bags just keurig. This could have been better for the whopping price you pay.

Perfect soaking tub or to give a bath to little ones

Glorious rooms and every bit of luxury getaway in the heart of Boston. Perfect place for families too because the children's museum and aquarium are a block - two blocks away. Rooms are large for a city. Amenities are what you'd expect from a high end hotel. Modern, beautiful and amazing! Service and staff are friendly and go beyond to help. There's a pool, spa, and business center as well as a gym. The property itself is massive. If you're looking for old feel boston, this is not it.. go search back bay hotels for that vibe...but if you want modern updated sophistication, here is your best option. Everything is within walking distance but you can get a little more peace and quiet when it's time to rest. Bathrooms are generously sized with separate tubs and beds are comfortable and sheets that are oh so soft!

Wonderful stay here in Boston recently! This was one of the hotels we chose to stay at during our East Coast trip around the states, and after going back-and-forth between several different nearby hotels, we decided on intercontinental. We chose this hotel based on the location of it being close to some of the main attractions, such as the Boston tea party attraction and being close to the airport. This was our first time to Boston, so we wanted to be close to all of the tourist spots. We got a room with pretty great views of the Boston tea party ship & museum location as well as the rest of the city. Our room was decent and spacious. Nothing spectacular but nice. Beds were extremely comfortable which is a huge plus. House cleaning services was excellent and did a nice thorough job of cleaning up our room every day. We ordered room service breakfast several times from the restaurant Miel and everything we ordered was absolutely excellent! Presentation as well as taste! Our only real complaint would be the cost of parking per day. $65 a day! It's valet style so you give them your ticket when you're leaving the hotel and they bring you your car. Most of all the valley guys working we're very nice but I thought the $65 a day for parking was a bit much. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. This was our first time staying at in InterContinental and would be curious to check out another one in the future.

hotel room views + Mikes pastry! good times.

Thank you IC Boston! My stay was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in the boston area. Centrally located and staff is great. The rooms are amazing. I got upgraded for my birthday stay and got to stay on the club levels. Beautiful room with views of the city. Nice pool and gym area as well. Got to enjoy the pool. I will be coming back here again on my next stay.

    Bugs in the room

Very, inexcusably dirty room with bugs and unidentified white powder. Comically bad view for an "upgrade" to a suite, basically cannot see anything except a rooftop covered in used cigarettes. Furniture is run down and old. Carpet is suspect. Valet basically ignored us, and absolutely no perks for IHG membership. This was a super disappointing stay, 2 nights week of 6/13/24. Room 539. Do not recommend. You'll be better off at a basic holiday inn. What a decline, this used to be a beautiful property!!

Does the hotel room come with access to the spa, gym, and pool?

I believe so. But I am an IHG member, so I'm not sure if its for all guests. Pool is indoors, small but nice. Gym is in the spa, small. Spa is AMAZING! Small and chic, it's wonderful!

There is reference to going through the spa to have access to the gym and pool. Do I need to pay for use of the spa to use the gym and pool?

No, they simply share the same door/entrance. Go left for the gym/pool, go right for the spa.

On the surface, this hotel presents as polished and upscale, but over time it became clear that it is a full-on Monet--looks good at a glance, but the closer you get, the more issues appear. During my stay, I was required to move rooms three times--once voluntarily after an upgrade, and twice due to serious maintenance issues, including a sprinkler-system flood. In subsequent rooms, I experienced repeated heating failures, inconsistent hot water, and even a shower head detaching during use. The heating issues were ongoing and never fully resolved. On multiple occasions, my room dropped to 66-67 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 80. Even after maintenance visits, the room never consistently warmed beyond 75 degrees. On the morning before my departure, I woke to cold air blowing again, confirming the problem persisted through the end of my stay. Management follow-through was disappointing. Promises to check back or assist were not kept, and communication was inconsistent at best. While beverage credit was offered, it did not come close to addressing the cumulative disruption, lack of rest, and stress caused by ongoing room issues over nearly seven weeks. The saving grace of this hotel was the weekday bartender, Rebecca. Monday through Friday, she greeted my colleagues and me with genuine warmth, professionalism, and grace after very long workdays. She was consistently excellent. Unfortunately, that level of service was not present on weekends, and our group ultimately chose to avoid the hotel bar until Rebecca returned. That said, I do want to acknowledge Shirley, Wendy, James, and Nate, who were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, as well as the valet staff, who were always efficient and courteous. This hotel may work for a very short stay if expectations are modest. For long-term or extended stays, however, the operational issues, lack of follow-through, and inconsistent hospitality do not align with the image or price point the property presents.

I gave the manager on shift almost 2 days notice that we were going to be checking out early. The morning we checked out the front desk attendant told me we would be charged an early check-out fee because we didn't give them 24 hours notice. After I told her I spoke with the manager 2 days prior she told me she would have to "talk with the team" before doing anything and we would get our bill via email. The next morning I received our bill and they charged us for the night after we checked out. I called the hotel and left 4 messages with the accounting manager (I never received a call back) and tried for 9 days straight (to include filing multiple claims with Marriott Corporate) and they refused to refund me for the extra night and valet for the night. Their justification was that my car was parked in their garage that night (they must have a way to manipulate the valet time stamp) so they could not refund me for the night because that means we were at the hotel. I emailed both the manager and Marriott corporate my EZPass receipts (to prove we had left Boston the day we checked out) and they have yet to resolve this case. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had. We even got some alternate options for a lactose sensitive person, so that's a great plus as well. The atmosphere was elegant and calming, and the service was great.
