I'm still waiting for IHG to send me a link to review this place up in their page. For now I'll do this one here. Not worth it . This hotel is not worth it. I was here for leisure but I don't see this place making sense even if you're here for business. There's no parking. You pay valet parking here, it's about $70 and when it's busy (always) they park them very close and open both windows so they can jump from one car to the other. Also you won't have your car available 24 hrs. So unless you want your car seat with footsteps and windows open all night... And remember they're not responsible for anything missing, even though their people are the only ones allowed to bring the cars to their garage. I parked in a lot across the bridge and walked here, they charge $20 for s whole day and night. Check in was ok, there's 24 hour room service that I didn't use, and 3 restaurants inside the hotel. I read the breakfast menu.$20 for an omelette. No thank you.Mc Donald's is 300 feet away, so I walked there, had 2 egg, cheese and bacon biscuits, and a coffee for $5 and I kept the change. The room .. Bathroom was gorgeous, big tub, separate shower, all appliances and bathroom amenities you can possibly need. Shower pressure should be better for the money you pay here, but hey at least they placed a phone by the side of the toilet so you can order their overpriced room service while taking a shit! Thank you Intercontinental, how did I live my whole life without that? The bed was just meh. Way to hard, and it cracks (yes the bed makes crackling noises) at night, I could barely fall asleep with all that cracking. You could see the matress too and it was old. Theres only one chair in the room and it's not reclinable, looks very old and dirty. Not what I would expect from a $450 a night hotel. Tv is big enough, office desk is nice if you are there for business I guess. Theres no microwave in the room, don't ask me why. The fridge is filled with alcoholic drinks, sodas and snacks but READ before you even touch it. It's all electronic and your room gets charged automatically every time you remove an item. M&M chocolate was $9, soda $7 , beer $16 , Jameson nip $20. A quart of whiskey? $98. So obviously I left that fridge alone. I had a couple of sodas, a couple of waters and a bottle o champagne I brought from outside. It was me and my wife anniversary and we would also attend a concert at the blue hill pavilion, hence we came here . Now where do I put my water and my sodas? I can't touch anything on the fridge so you can use it for anything. So I filled up the bathroom sink with ice and used it to cool my drinks. So much for this $450 room. Channel list on the tv is laughable, like 40 channels, and you can barely hear it in the morning , it's set to only go as loud as a whisper. There's a button by the side of the door that goes off, green or red. It reads green for room service linen change, red do not disturb. I left it off, not green, and while we were out in the concert they came to our room, and my wife was mortified. I can't blame her we had just checked in, we asked for nothing and the light wasn't green, why would you need to go in my room? The view is looking into the other rooms and a brick wall. Pick one. The nice views in the hotel website are probably from one of the thousands of rooms and it's probably a fortune too. The pool. Oh my... You have to go through a check in guy and sign your name, room and time of arrival, as if you're a kid. Then you got to wake right trough people working out at the gym to get to the pool. Super tight, no jacuzzi (so much for calling your poll area "spa") and the deepest part of the pool is 4ft. Yep you didn't read wrong it goes from 3 ft to ,4 ft and that is it. Water was cold and the whole place is setup as a senior rehab center. I already work in a nursing home, that is not what I call a day off. We ran out of this place as fast as we could. I checked out around 8 am. I always check on the last minute but not here. I had to go home and sleep in a real bed. Only got 2 hours sleep between the bed cracking and the AC kicking in and out loud as a wild animal. I will never come back. I live in MA and had always avoided Boston and this is one of the reasons why. Overpriced with nothing to show for. Save your money and go stay at a holiday inn. read more
