Also we have an antique wood chair that has spindle legs and cross pieces. One of the cross pieces which was a brace had split badly. They had matching wood and made a spindle replacement for it. I have had the pleasure of working with the owner, Yotam, on a custom project in a house I bought…read morerecently. He is very easy to talk to, communicative and super reliable. His office is located on the street next to the Jeep dealership off Kirby. He has plenty of samples to show you and is more than willing to give you some to take. Not only is there beautiful stone to browse through with him, but also backsplash, tiles, bordering, etc. I ended up buying a few slabs of a gorgeous marble from a quarry in Vermont, which looks just like Carrara/Calacatta but a fraction of the price! Plus, it's a lot denser than the average marble, so it doesn't stain as easily. The house builder's manager was very difficult to work with, and had already wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to have my stone delivered from Yotam's stone yard and cut for the countertops, and were also taking forever to schedule a pick-up/delivery time. Yotam was accommodating and got me someone else to deliver the marble slabs to the house in a timely manner, so I didn't have to hassle with the builder. He also gave me a bottle of sealer to place on the marble to help with resisting stains even more. Once the stone was cut and installed, I could really see the quality in my chosen stone compared to the standard granite the builder suggested. Side note: This is the same company that provided the beautiful stone to the entrance of Tootsies at West Ave, so you know it's high quality! I'll definitely be using Habitat Stone for all my future stone projects!

I was greeted at the front by a friendly lady who guided me to what I was looking for. She went above and beyond with explaining the different types of pesticides and her personal experiences and recommended methods of application (scatter the boric acid around instead of a straight line for roaches, which I didn't know!). It was a lot of fun browsing the store because there was so much to take in. The layout is like an antique store but for hardware, from plumbing to doorknobs to cleaning supplies, they had just about everything. I had an extremely great experience at Southland and will be back! And do not fret about parking, there is a large - by Montrose standards - parking lot in the back.

I stood there waiting, and no one ever said a word. One other guy didn't appear to be doing anything, and just ignored me. When one guy was finally done helping another customer, he was rude and unhelpful. I would never go back to this location due to the poor, rude customer service.
